And its good night from Him..

Well, fare ye well Ronnie when the inevitable exit comes.

It may be this week, hey they may even let you stay on until Aberdeen eventually hand us the League,  but one thing is for sure, your time as Celtic Manager is rapidly coming to a close and I imagine you may even head away from the Hotseat before the Season is over regardless of when the League is won.

I for one will be sad to see that this didn’t work out. Not just cause youre ” nice guy”, who cares about that, it was the New Dream that I bought into. The idea of a faster, fitter, smarter athlete in the Hoops. A Young side brimming with confidence and bravado and with the lungs and power to give us an unstoppable force in Scotland and a growing presence in Europe.

Sadly that Dream has came crashing down on us with reality cocking us a hoop and saying “No, this is not clever or forward thinking in its infancy, this is the Emperors new clothes and going only in one direction like a spent spider circling the drain”

I know this will be looked at a “Oh here we fucking go!” style and even worse, plays into both Huns and the Hun loving Media but its no half drunk rant, Ive sat here working and watching the game and my head is sore from the amount of shaking its done. The same has happened when I visit Celtic park and watch the headless chicken act in front of me. The Optimist in me ( once Eternal or so I thought) kept saying “Find one good thing and that’s all I need”. Did you see 1 good thing today?

The Opposition were fitter, hungrier, dare I say prouder,  and while we teased their woodwork a few times, it should never have come to a question of penalties. Folk may point to the Roberts miss, which I suggest should be answered with “Why we relying so much on a young loanee in the first place?”. I watched a game where I was told folk like Holt and Halliday were great players, give me a fucking break. When your opposition has a geriatric scoring and then bring on players like the 2 Nickys, and you cant find enough self respect to slap down such an embarrassment on the same pitch as you, well questions really do have to be asked and a price paid, with the first payment demanding the Managers head.

Celtic are not in a better position than when Ronnie took over. Its as simple as that. Europe is not even mentioned these days without a sigh and the League isn’t mentioned without a tension in our shoulders. The squad is not good enough or fit/stable enough to perform to our deluded expectation and half of them should be exiting in the summer along with the management team.  For all the Lennoxtown talk, we are not fitter,( I’m sure there are stats to tell me I don’t know what Im talking about of course), and we are not more comfortable on the ball, Dreams of Barca like Possession?,Schmession. Some will say that we do have a few young players doing okay but I fear now we don’t have future young Hoop winners in the making. Any decent player like Kieran Tierney is only human and will already be watching out for the summer rumour mill and packing a bag for the EPL soon as they come calling, and for him, they will for sure.

Im gonna stop before I really do rant, in summation..

Celtic have massive issues to address at the moment and the first of many will be the Management Team. Take care of that and the Opposition will be taken care off, simples. If Dermot and Co try and hire another New Soccer Science Modern Manager then we can all settle in for more spider down the plughole experiences Im afraid. This Shit just got real.

Regards

On a wee side note…the stuff i read on social media last night would turn your belly… it was a real release of pent up hatred i had the pleasure of reading which turns me back to the Celtic boardroom… it was their duty to make sure we were so far ahead wed pump this tribute act for years to come n really break their spirit, but to run our club to the point where they defeat us on second attempt is criminal. The whole club needs revamped from top to bottom.

A terrible display in the first half especially but 18 year old or not he should score an open goal 100 times out of 100. Bottle merchants who were unable to to score the two penalties we had that would- after all that terrible play-have given us the lead. Midfield quintet was , as it usually is is, collectively and individually appalling. Bloke behind me kept saying ‘this is beyond belief’. Like so many of those who told me on Facebook and at work that we would win easily I had to say ‘Have you seen us play before this season’. If today had been a disappointing display it would have been bad enough but this was a typically disappointing display which is a very different thing.

Deila is clearly hopeless – worse than Brady and Mowbray and possibly even Barnes- and his team is full of has beens and never weres. Tierney is good and I quite like Erik and I thought Mulgrew was okay today. Leigh G is not everybody’s cup of tea but he is good too. Rogic is occasionally the one really classy attacker in Scottish football. otherwise forget it.

The board have failed – presented with the biggest open goal in our history four years ago it – and its Chief Executive- have presided over a sharp decline. Three and a half years on from Spartak we now never reach far less exceed expectation.

I am away to watch the old creepy thriller from 1970 called And Soon The Darkness. The title seems appropriate.

Yes the Boards st fault for downsizing and that includes the management team but a good manager turns ordinary players into better ones etc etc not headless chickens. All we got from Ronnie was promises about diet, fitness, speed, closing down, quicker play…the list goes on. And where is it? In Ronnie’s fekn head. He’s an imposter and he should go tomorrow and take his useless tactics with him. I don’t care who comes in, anyone with a bit of sense and commitment can get more out of these players. I did say before the game we were getting carried away and there was nothing, nothing to show we could actually win this. Not looking at the shite w have all suffered over the last two seasons.

Spot on Desimond. There is a lack of fear at Celtic. Particularly a fear of the manager.
Can you imagine the wrath of Jock Stein after such an inept and insipid performance?
Totally unacceptable.
I can forgive a limited player if he gives his all but a total lack of fight, belief or an undeserved complacency is beyond the pale.
Undoubtedly Ronny’s position is now untenable and he has to go.
Quite frankly the experiment has not worked. I hoped and believed that Ronny would succeed but the combination of downsizing and an inexperienced manager has been a disaster.
Celtic should not be experimenting with rookie appointments. We need to push forward, use our superior resources and put this upstart four year old club firmly in their place.

There is a positive in there Monti we were crap and they played to the top of their game but the full time score was 2-2 they were knackered at 90 mins. They had a lot of possession but they were not hurting us in open play a bit of luck and poor defending brought their first goal. I don’t think Miller would have scored if Eric was on for Boyata. Their second was a worldly again brought about by some poor defending. We should have won that game if the Manager had started with the right eleven GMS Brown and Johansen and Boyata should not have started. Eric Commons and Rogic should have and his substitutions were late and poor. So Ronny you are responsible and in The words of Lord Sugar you’re fired.☘☘☘

When Lawell’s bonus is not related to football results then he is only motivated to save money. Well for the rest of the season he won’t get mine, going to cancel my Celtic TV sub. I really don’t want to but feel its the only way I can make my own wee personal point.

Cumulative losses of £42m*, that’s where mo’n was a failure. He had an unsustainable wage bill and transfer fees that were OTT for Scottish football.

Of course, at the time it may have been a strategy to get us attractive enough to be invited to the EPL or some super-Euro league, in which case it was a speculate to accumulate plan that unfortunately never came to fruition. But regardless, it took WGS and then Lennon to get us to the last 16 and downsize the squad/wages to a level that was consistent with playing in Scotland with occasional European jaunts.

Time for a full review of the club and how it is run and managed. This is a wake up call for the Board to start investing rather than divesting. A full review of all roles and people in them starting with the Board. The team is leaderless and look forlorn. It has happened too many times this season and this result today is a double blow as it breathes life into the dead shell of old Rangers when we had a chance to put one more nail in the coffin. Very very disspointing and maybe the start of a more intense Celtic from top to bottom

Omar Rafiq

Our proud club is being treated like a discarded broken toy by idiots from top to bottom, I’ll come to Ronny in a second along with the some of the so called players that pull on a jersey of such prestige and treat it like it’s just something to wear on matchday, the board should be ashamed of themselves after not only today but what has been a season of utter calamity and more downs than ups in both Europe and domestic games, they talk about keeping us ahead of the game and making sure the club is sustainable well guess what let’s put the prices of season books and matchday tickets down and you’ll have a full house week in and week out that’s a simple way to increase yearly revenue without pissing of the fans that have always been loyal to our club, let’s ensure by putting the right personnel in where it matters to get us into the champions league every season?? There’s plenty of money to be made but to make it they need to spend it too, The board had they treated our club with the love and respect we do should’ve ensured that by now we were so far ahead of ANY team in Scotland that we were simply un catchpole however the board have deceived and TRIED to pull the wool over our eyes and failed as we have went backwards as a club from top to bottom so as the board can ensure that they are still quids in, dare I say it there used to be a regime in place that also were there for their own takings and luckily we were saved in the brink of time, I’m hoping those days don’t return to my beloved club again.
And so now on to our management and team, I have tried and tried to find the positives and support Ronny throughout the season but over the last few months and after today I can’t defend him, I said in a post last week that I feared that we did not have the hunger, passion, ideas or the ability to recover from going a goal behind against the newest team in Glasgow or beating them the way we should, Sviatchenko should have started, there’s our first sub used, were a goal down and we look jaded and a team playing as individuals, we have Rogic and Commons on a bench when we know Johansson and Brown have been so off the boil recently yet he puts them in for what reason?? We’ve got players at the club that have got talent that have got skill and can excite yet they’re not even making the bench let alone getting om the pitch (Allan, Christie)I can’t see why not seen as clearly some of the players taking to the pitch seem like they don’t want to be there or are simply past it, the players look lost out there as they’re not either A: being played in the position that they should or want to be deployed to be at their best or B:They’ve lost all faith in whatever the management are trying to do or are saying to them. All in all today has summed up where our club is at the moment from top to bottom clueless at board, management and team level, passionless at board, management and team level, inept and lacking the hunger to be a force and successful at board, management and team level the only think the board, management and team have served up on any consistency is naivety, lack of respect and appreciation of what our club actually means and stands for and above all taking the utter piss out of the fans that they know will keep coming back for more punishment and hurt…………..I’ll never turn my back on my club and accept we should be happy with just being ok, it’s sad that the board, management and some of that team do it week in week out.

At last there is some sense been spoken on here this evening. Those who supported Deila to date should be utterly ashamed of themselves. Celtic have had four years to power ahead of the rest in a structured fashion yet look at what has happened in that time. Abject European humiliation after humiliation and finally today domestic reality has hit home. The Deila project is over. Let’s just hope the League is secured as quick as possible before we start afresh next season.

It’s clearly the end of the road for Ronnie (and Collins and Kennedy) – if they had any honour or self respect they’d hand in their notice tomorrow. I always gave RD the benefit of the doubt but this is the final straw – to lose a semi final to a second division team (any second division team) is a disgrace. To lose to a second rate second division team is worse. Time to go Ronnie, time to go.

Yet again we watch the opposition play a high press which ronny promised we would do. This time last season we were watching the same midfield and attack (Roberts apart)play good football and everything was rosy. What went wrong? Down to Ronny am afraid. Stu Armstrong the best example. Buy an excellent midfielder and stick him on the left then drop him when it disnae happen? Today was shocking but the huns done their homework and attacked us down our right. Theyre shite by the way so it shows how poor we are. In the words of Monti. Ronny out! Well I have just landed back at gatwick, and the airport was a sorry sight for hoops fans. Our heads bowed as the Huns laughed and joked at our expense. Fathers who forked out plenty to take their kids to the semi wondering why the hell do they put us through it.
Words fail me tonight, I have never felt so low in my time as a Celtic fan, even the 5-1 hammering we used to take through the EBT years I have never felt so bad.
You see we knew it was coming,we knew that this manager didn’t have it in him, but we hoped that today would at least be a saving grace. It is over for Ronnie and his crew,it was over Last year, but we had to put up with it. It is a tale of two managers, one has transformed one from being easily beat to a team who can play a bit,and the other has transformed one who could play a bit, into easy beats.
The board have lost in their gamble, and European football is back at ibrox. Dear oh Dear Ronnie what have you done.

iljas Baker

If you look at what RD’s vision for Celtic is it still has merit. However, he is no nearer realizing that vision than he was at the beginning of his tenure. His ideas are not original just look at Arsenal for example. But RD doesn’t really have the ability to realize his vision and be at the top of the pile in Scotland. He seems poor in the transfer market, poor in terms of footballing strategy including team selection, and a poor motivator.

“His” ideas have a future but he doesn’t.

I don’t think Celtic are going to splash the cash and I don’t think they can go back to a “heritage is all and playing for the jersey” scenario. That’s not the modern footballing world. So keep the vision but get a manager that is more likely to realize it. One who can buy better, who can put a team and a strategy in place and who can motivate players. It’s not going to be plain sailing but the fans need hope and entertainment value for their money.

I believe the players are unhappy with the training regime, this has caused a split in the dressing room and Ronny plays his favourites.

There was no team out there, just a bunch of individuals all attempting to do their own job (badly in most cases). I have no hesitation in saying we have better players, pound for pound, so much so that other mob on the park should have been put out of sight because they are terrible at the back.

The coin flip Celtic side that showed up was tails which is what they were chasing at times. Had it been heads then Celtic would have won convincingly. Now were are faced with this “there is no gap” pish which I am wholly unconvinced of. You put someone in there who commands the dressing room’s respect and plays a system they are all comfortable with and you will have players playing like they should be, like they are capable of.

That doesn’t take away from Park and Lawwell, their days are done simply because we don’t want them there anymore. The business model is a resounding success… just not on the park which is where it counts for us. It is not very difficult to beat a team with one game plan!!

Make no mistake, Rangers played well and they played for one another to make a point and the only redeeming feature is that they are now kidding themselves that they’re back. Sustaining all this over a long period of time with the potential of European football to contend with. Playing full time footballers week in, week out. Their reckoning will come but we need ours first, the sooner the better!!

I’m not ashamed for once supporting Deila. Also lay off Charlie Saiz.No Celtic supporter is responsible for missed penalties and sclaffed shots. We’re Celtic supporters too. I realized I was wrong when I finally saw—a few months ago—that Deila has no skills to inspire players. Time after time, in big high-pressure matches we played like we didn’t care. Unlike some of you, I never saw us winning easily yesterday. I said “2-1 (to us) in a hard-fought win.” The blame should be on the players, The Board, Deila and his management team and of course, Desmond and Lawwell. You smart arses who call Charlie Saiz and myself cunts now have to produce your own vision and management team and by god, Davie Moyes had better be good because we will be watching his every move. For the record: Davie Moyes is not good enough to manage our club and forget MON, Lenny and those who walked out on us before. They shouldn’t be allowed to walk back in. I once supported Ronny Deila because I love my team. I have the balls to admit my mistake. I hope some of you can do the same when your next ‘wonder boy’ hits the skids. Also, don’t let your hatred of Sevco blind you to the fact that Warburton has his team playing good football, something the great Wattie and Swally never did. Yes, Deila should go. It’s what happens next that counts. What we saw yesterday also means we can probably shove ‘ten in a row’ up our arses unless we get exactly the right man in after Ronny heads for the fiords. Here’s to five in a row. Here’s to Celtic and its future. Hail, hail.

Devoy,
Morning.
Getting out of bed this morning was a bit slower than usual, I feel like I’ve got a bag of coal on each shoulder and my balls have been hit by a Ronald Koeman free kick!
Listen it has all been said, Deila out and Lawwell out and Desmond out and so on, the stark truth for me watching that game yesterday, especially in the first half, was how the fuck are Sevco playing like this? Why do our players look like they were running through mud? Why did GMS stay on the park until the 70th minute?
It was a mistake by Deila to play GMS instead of Rogic, I picked Brown and Bitton before the game as my preferred central two, but it isn’t working, I don’t know if Brown is carrying a knock but he isn’t playing at 100%.
Doesn’t matter now if Deila is a nice guy or fucking no, his Celtic side this year has been Utter shite, I have said before about us depending too much on Griffiths and it’s true, if Griffiths had missed a chunk of games through injury we would have lost the title, it is a fucking shambles.
Lawwell, Desmond, Deila and his management team and a number of players should hang their heads in shame this morning.

DEILA OUT!

I have said for a long while on here that there is no energy and creativity in that midfield. Look at the performance of tierney , we need more players like this now, if sam wardrope can give us yhe same at right back get him in! Look to the likes of allan and christie now and what the fuck is henderson doing at hibs, again we could have been doing with his energy yesterday. Armstrong has his critics but i think we should be looking at him as a brown replacement. We have a talented bunch of kids we should be building a team with, why this manager wont play them and insists on the same players who time and time again let him down really is the definition of madness and has cost him his job!. Kids are the way forward for our club now so someone coming in should be told this , the likes of martin oneil wouldnt work for me as he wouldnt play them.

I said it above delbhoy he left the creativity on the bench and in the stands or at home!
His choice and timing of subs was v poor and Brown should be shown the door he can’t make a 5 yard pass without giving it away , he too missed a sitter for a pro in the first half. Enough good chances to bury them for all there pretty football they were playing in front of our midfield and could not get past them for long periods. Penalties are always a lottery .All that does not get away from the fact that RD’s master plan has failed and he should walk. Sorry Ronny!!!☘☘☘

Watch as we wait on some wee guy doing well at The Euros before a desperate plea to Henrik and big Johann is rejected and in walks Mark McGhee.

Guus Hiddink is available come May… Does Fergus still have his number?

Larsson has always walked on water for me but how is he doing as a coach in Sweden?

p.s. The new Celtic manager must really understand how we must win 10 in a row as well as put Sevco in their rightful place. No time for talkers, football fitness men and visionaries.
