Celtic Diary Monday December 21: Meltdown Approaching

You have your tantrums about the management.

I just wrote a full bloody diary, and the whole lot disappeared.

And it was awesome as well.

Full of humour, charm, reasoned and well thought out arguments to gently encourage informed and thought provoking debate, but then it just disappeared…

Celtic were beaten by Motherwell, quite well beaten, and for some, that will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Despite being a point clear with a game in hand, and still in contention for two cups, supporters are calling for his head.

All because we lost to motherwell 2-1. Incidentally, its not so long since another Celtic side lost 2-1 to Motherwell with an inept performance that saw the title handed to former rivals Rangers on the last day of the season.

A disaster which has largely been omitted from the resume of the then manager , Martin O’Neill.

No-one seems to mention that we , at least, now know how the team copes without Armstrong, Brown and Johansen, and how much we rely on Leigh Griffiths.

It also went some way to showing that one or two players need to be moved on.

Before I get accused of the happy clappiness again, i’d just like to point out that I’ve had a visit from the ghost of christmas past.

Don’t panic. i’m getting new pyjamas for Christmas. And a haircut.

We had a sit down and a natter, and he went through the christmases of 89-98.

He reminded me how, ahead of the New Year game with the now defunct tax didgers of Ibrox, I would sit with the league table and the fixture list, and work out how we could still win the league if we beat them twice, and they dropped a few more points between then and May.

It didn’t happen.

It didn’t even nearly happen.

Then he showed me Paul Lambert and Craig burley scoring at Ibrox, which ย reminded me that see after a period of adversity, the good times feel so much better.

With that in mind, lets spare a though for those who don’t always win what they want.

Or our regular contributor Monti, appearing on tv quiz show “pointless ”

Embedded image permalink

The answer “Ronny ” didn’t appear on the list, and for those who were playing along at home, neither did “Brits ”

And it shouldn’t appear on anyones list.

Theres a meeting at Celtic Park this week, either today or tomorrow. Dermot Desmond has flown in, presumably with his secret santa pressies, and social media seems to think that he has a Davie Moyes in his bag to give to the Celtic support.

Lets just hope he’s kept the receipt.

Thats one gift that should go straight back to the shop on Boxing Day.

Social media was hysterical over the last couple of days, as was this site.

The empty vessels, i.e. the ones that make the loudest noise, appear to want Ronny out now, if not before.

The most common reason is that he isn’t getting the best out of his players.

Agreed, there are one or two that should be performing better, and there are perhaps one or two that are being out of position, but he has said all along he wants players to be comfortable in more than one position, or doing more than one job.

And the time to practice that is when you are the strongest side in the league.

Though I think we’d all feel a little more comfortable if he picked his thirteen or so for the future and ran with them from now on.

Some say we should sack him because we are going backwards..

Backwards ?

To a possible treble ?

And then theres Europe, where at best we were unlucky, and at worst bloody hopeless. There’s no middle ground there. supporters are polarised on that debate.

I think we were unlucky, but also failed to raise the game when needed, which is difficult when you lose a lead, to regain the impetus. But, lessons were learned as the group went on, and the last two performances were much better.

We lost it against molde, twice, and no-one expected that. Thats probably why it hurts so much.

As for the Davis cup, the boat race and Wimbledon, theres always next year, but i think its fair to say we are probably still outsiders.

The anger hurled at the players, management , board and anyone else who got in your way at the weekend may also have been because the club had legend Billy McNeill in the building, as he wathced his statue being unveiled.

Billy arrived with John Reid, former chairman, anbd incredibly he too, at least on one or two forums, wa scriticised for his choice of companion, and then , along with Bertie Auld, for his politics during the referendum, as one or two remembered they voted no, or endorsed no, or something or other.

Frankly, and i may be accused of hypocrisy here, i don’t give a fuck. If those two voted for the Union or not. Or who they turn up with.

Auld and McNeill don;t need to prove anything to anyone at Celtic, , or to the support.

Embedded image permalink

and they never will, but to a few self righteous individuals, perhaps merely to draw attention to themselves, seem to feel that they are qualified to give an opinion.

Seriously, there are very few indeed entitled to criticise these two about anything, considering what they have done for the club

Embedded image permalink

God bless them, and the rest of the players of that era.

And back to today, how about a wee bit of patience, and a wee bit of support.

As Jimmy Johnstone once said, the support is more important when things aren’t going so well.

Meanwhile, the big news is that Sepp blatter and Michel Platini are forming a breakaway organisation, after they were removed from world football.

Memberships to THIEFFA will be available soon.

Before i go, think back to Saturday.

What largely went without comment , which would previously have been , if not dominating the headlines, then certainly an issue for debate ?

Which actually shows how far the game in Scotland is progressing, at least at some levels.

In fact, I wonder if we have seen the future, and a way to clean things up around here.

Ralph, does Ronny have a picture of you near some wooly friends? Come on, saturday was shocking, tactics poor, players out of position and lumping high balls into the box… FFS i thought super salary of sevco fame had been teaching ronny his top tips. How the team copes without Johensen! Eh? He hasn’t kicked a ball all season, infact all he kicks is any opposition player and gets booked. For me the camel’s spine has been ripped out.

Our performance on Saturday was shambolic. No fight in the team and you knew we had no chance of getting back into it after going a goal down. What’s sad is there’s no spirit in the stands either, fans didn’t drive the team forward. There’s a real malaise about the club.

I won’t apologise for saying that the manager should go. Saturday was by no means a one off; we’ve had some absolutely awful performances this season (and last) and his wonderful high tempo, passing game we were promised just isn’t materialising. Get the new man in now to give him time to sort the mess out before the CL qualifiers next summer.

Bawsman if you accept Saturday is our reality then fair play to you. I happen to think that we should be able to perhaps dominate a game against Motherwell, maybe even play a bit of decent football once in a while. Look at the respective budgets, the difference is embarrassing. We should be miles ahead of everyone in Scotland. Call that arrogant if you want, but our footballing budget is on a different planet to the rest, so we should expect to be winning games and playing with a bit of style.

Ralph,

The team is in decline, what is it going to take for some to see that?
Look at the results……..we can’t beat Kilmarnock and Motherwell, are you seriously saying we are getting better?
Remember it isn’t just me who feels like this, THOUSANDS of our support want him gone, are they wrong as well?

why are there fans who continually brush these defeats off as a one off or these things happen. We have not won at Celtic park in over 4 games. Now if memory serves me then this didn’t happen under mogga or Barnes. This appears to be blind faith we as a support are investing in. Anyone who was at the game who only had one eye can see this man’s time is up. Unfortunately the board meeting with dermot was planned pre agm so the post I made yesterday regarding Keane etc was utter shite. Keane not the answer anyway. But there are guys out there who would do a better job and get the crowds back. Brendan Rogers. David moyes stand out for me. Michael oniell would do a job and I would also have strachan back.

They say you can’t win them all and that’s true, but when we used to get beat it was due to their keeper having the game of his life or their strikers getting goals from the few shots they had and usually both.

Now a team just has to not make a complete backside of it and they can get a result against us. We used to have Fortress Parkhead and Thunder, Deila has turned it into a damp squib.

Look around the stadium Ralph. On a day Cesar was immortalised, we had less than 30,000 there. The place should have been heaving.

Ralph I think the “empty vessels” who want him out are probably the majority now, and this “unlucky” European performance saw us unluckily concede 2 goals a game and not win a single game, we’ve had two open player dissent issues and a team playing regressive one paced football. Why people are still determined to pin the blame on any one else but the manager I’m struggling to comprehend now. I genuinely believe his days are numbered now as his failures are hitting the club where the board pay attention, the bank balance. Given his transfer record I would not trust him with whatever budget there is to go and improve the squad. An interesting experiment, but ultimately a miss step, he will be gone soon as the club fear the financial implications of retaining him.

Some of us are quick to condemn a sense of entitlement in others (who shall be nameless or should that be shameless?)

So we lost a game! So we played shyte!

We have done this under ALL our managers in the past and being football we will do it under all our managers in the future. As Ralphs ghost story pointed out.

Have to say I love Etims, always have and always will but I do find your almost slavish support for Ronnie and his methods strange but hey it’s a broad church. But I see no signs of green shoots, in fact we are getting worse with a clueless manager, no settled team, players all over the place and the lack of drive in a Celltic team is shocking. I don’t give a rat’s rear end for how it was in the past. This is what we are having to suffer now. How long do you want to wait. Humiliated in Europe over and over, humiliated at home in the league, more and more fans sick of this. We can’t all be moaners for the sake of it. Something is definitely wrong and to keep saying wait, wait is as boy as a Wee person with an appendage stuck ina dyke while the water pours over the top ( apologies to all dykes who may have misinterpreted the analogy:-) sitting on our thumbs ……ooh er matron….. just means we’re accepting third best from a blind board and a clueless manager.

Are people seriously suggesting that Davie Moyes is the answer? A guy with about a 40% win rate throughout his management career? Will Davie Moyes work wonders with the 5 million transfer budget? Everton had no money compared to Man Utd and Chelsea, they still paid millions for players (did Fellaini not cost them 15 mil?).
The sad truth about Celtic and Celtic supporters is that the majority miss Rangers. Celtic supporters are never happier than when playing Rangers, even if they are being cheated. Europe does not matter for the majority as long as they can sing a few ‘party tunes’ and play Sevco on New Years Day. If they were promoted last season and we were playing them on the 1st at Celtic Park there would have been 45,000 at the Motherwell game.
It has nothing to do with poor performances on the park and everything to do with boredom because they are missing. It’s pathetic, but if the fans want a return to the ‘good old days’ then just give it to them. When they return there will be a 6-way agreement, this time including us and it will clearly state that neither Celtic or Rangers will ever be relegated again. The whole thing is pointless.
I am the opposite to Franco, bring in Davie Moyes or Owen Coyle or whatever other no-mark Cellik man is on the broo, and I won’t be back. Also, no voice from the club about the shennanigans at Ibrox and the return of the boys in blue will see me never take my seat again, after 40 years.

Saturday, what can be said, yes we lost under MON to Motherwell, I was at the game. However you cannot compare the inept play from this team. The defence was all at sea,, to leave Tierney alone at the back is shocking.
No one takes responsibility and as for Cifcti enough said.
Delilah JC and JPK the cheap option but if you look at the turnout on Saturday it will only get cheaper.
If Griffiths is out we are no threat, when you look at Mulgrew and Broony they only have a few years to go, what in God’s name is the plan.
Delilah looks like a guy waiting for the bus, he has no incite, at least Jose, looses it and he ends up sacked.
Moyes is not the answer but they urgently have to look at alternatives for a manager.
The names linked to the January window,Ezekial Henry striker, Wesley a Brazillian, LiborKozak Andrej Kramaric, Emil Bergerren, amongst others. How many of these are Delilahs picks or another Boerigter in the offing.
I have come to the conclusion we are being taken for mugs, as a nursery club for the English Premiership.

ewanbhoy

I really hate saying this but even my patience is wearing very thin with Ronny. I always said that as long as I see progress and as long as we dominate Scottish football I will give Ronny the time to develop the team into a team good enough for the CL but what happened on Saturday has really shocked me. It’s not just because we lost but the way we lost. Also factor in that we were dreadful against Hamilton too the week before and only got a point their shows that we are going in the wrong direction.
The team is gutless with no fight in it when Scott Brown is out the team and our defence is terrible….Boyata….wtf….a fucking disaster..
Should Ronny go now. ? Well that is the question….if Jose Mourinho steps in to take the job then yes…..but if not then for me Ronny has 2 months left to turn this around….he needs to sign some players in January who are leaders on the park who can fucking play and win and he needs to bin Collins and Kennedy and bring in a new backroom staff .
If he can get us back on track by February and if we can start improving after that too then he might well save his job but if things don’t turn around considerably by then, then regrettably he will have to go and that way a new manager would still have time to get us ready for the CL.

Ewan, I have had no time for Deila from a pretty early stage.
I have always been able to take a defeat and the odd poor performance, but it’s how a Celtic team perform and how they are defeated, that has always been the measure of the guy who’s paid to manage them counts most to me.

Reply to  ewanbhoy

I’m with you on this one.

I’ve been a defender of Ronny’s since the beginning and have more than a few heated arguments with friends and family doing so.

Saturday was a tipping point for me.

We are not developing or progressing.

The players being enforced onto the manager are just not good enough.

Ultimately its a shame because Ronny is the fall guy for the boardroom’s failed and current strategy.

However, Ronny’s lack of anything but plan A means he has to go.

When the next manager ultimately has more or less the same results maybe then the scrutiny will be placed squarely where it should be – the boardroom and the only employee of Celtic FC who DOES get paid an EPL wage.

Motherwell didn’t just beat us at Celtic Park, they had better tactics, knew what each other was doing and should have scored 5 goals. A team on a fraction of our budget with not one of their players anywhere neat the quality of their opponents and yet could/should have scored 5 goals!

That’s the problem….not losing a game 2-1.

Exactly Hector. In isolation bad performances and bad results happen. Saturday however wasn’t an isolated case. We’ve been getting out thought and out fought by so many teams this season (and last).

Nothing personal against Ronny who seems like a decent guy, but he is so far out his depth and needs replacing now.

A big part of ‘playing’ football, no matter the level is, (even if it just in the park kicking a ball about with pals) is that you learn how the players you are playing football with (i.e teammates), ‘Play’ football. Every member of a team should ‘KNOW’ how, when and what their teammates are going to do, even before they get the ball. It doesn’t matter the formation the system that any manager tries to implement, if the players ‘do not’ have the basic intelligence to understand how their teammates play, you will never be a team. There is also an unwritten rule of football, that maybe as long or even longer than the game itself and it is, if your ‘teammate’ is in a better goal scoring opportunity, not only do you pass the ball to them, but you put it on a plate too. If you make your teammates look good, as a consequence, you look good right along side them. The front four were all guilty of not doing this at the weekend and as a end result, they all looked pish while doing it. Again nothing to do systems, shapes and formations but more to do with ‘muscle memory’ and how to implement it. HH

Another problem is hoofing the ball out of defence and trying to chase it down, hoping that the opposition can’t keep it… total pish

The hysteria surrounding our current sate is getting beyond ridiculous now folk seriously need to catch a grip and deal with the facts that presented themselves this Season..
1 We lost our central pairing in the summer.
2 The replacement for Van Dijk Jozo came not 100% fit and got injued early on.
3 Mulgrew the player Deila would have looked at using in Central Defence whilst Jozo settled and Boyata got bedded in has been out for 2 months with injury.
4 Lustig and Janko both had injuries
5 Ambrose get’s pelters every time he takes to the Park as a result his confidence has been affected
6 Izaguirre did not start the Season well
7 Neither did Brown Johansen or Armstrong
8 Brown Johansen and Commons have all had injuries this has cuased serious issues in Midfield.
9 We have not had a settled back 4 all season
10 The loss of a top goal scorer through injury affects EVERY team including our own
11 We do not have a team stacked with quality therefore injuries and loss of form can seriously deplete our effectiveness as a side no matter who we play?
Yet and yet all of that aside we still sit on top of our League and still in both Cups as I type this?
Martin O’Neill got given over ยฃ20m to make us a side capable of operating in Europe that in todays money would be closer to ยฃ30m.
Yet even he went a full Season WINNING FUCK ALL.
That Season we lost 2-1 to Motherell lost 1-0 to Caley Thistle Lost 2-1 to Hearts Drew with Dundee Kilmarnock Aberdeen Partick Thistle.
We did that with a side containing Douglas Boyd Valgaeen McNamara Balde Mjalby Agathe Lennon Lambert Thompson Petrov Sutton Hartson.
Our Board have changed our policy to signings..
We no longer build teams
We no longer buy quality
We no longer keep teams together
We target young players with potential
We sell to make profit
This a result has seen our squads quality greatly diminish this in turn has seen those around us bridge the gap
whilst in Europe the gap between us and the est has widened.
None of this is the Managers fault to suggest it is is short sighted at best and ignorant at worst.
To force the Manager out at this moment whilst we sit on the top of the League is absolute fucking nonsense because the next guy will face the exact same issues as Deila.
I’m done talking about it now it’s pointless debate what will be will be enjoy the rest of the Season.

My point is no matter how good a side is ANY team can win on any given day in Football.
The likelihood obviously increases once other factors kick in.
I have listed down many of the issues Deila has had to contend with already this Season these issues have plagued one area of the park primarily the Defence but we also have issues in Midfield and up front due to Injuries and players not performing well in key areas.
These factors would affect any side under any Manager.
To ignore them is simply ridiculous when judging the team and manager at present.

It strikes me some of us are more concerned about face value than development and long term strategy?
We win the League and a Cup this Season whilst blooding and bedding in a new Central pairing and back 4 that’s young enough to play at Celtic for 10 years then that is IMPROVEMENT.
We could well see a back 4 of Janko Boyata Simunovic Tierney
or Fisher O’Connell Jozo Tierney taking on Europe next Season?
A midfield of Bitton Henderson Forrest Allan McGregor
Or Brown Bitton Forest CRogic Mackay-Steven
You think that would happen under a Moyes Keane or Rodgers?
Aye right.

Ffs, Charlie. There is no development, no long-term strategy, no tactical plan, no thoughtfulness, no high intensity, no man-management, no clue, no passion.

He’s marching us to oblivion and issuing the same old “we’ll get it right next time” every time. It’s all free-beer-tomorrow stuff and it’s a disaster. For every success with Griffiths, there’s a Boyata. For every Bitton, there’s a Blackett.

Dear Diary…if you truly believe that RD is the future of Celtic football club then I think it is time to close the book.

The treble is a fantasy…and the best thing that could happen to us is for Aberdeen win the league then and only then will the board wake up.

When Celtic beat Barcelona on that glorious night in 2012
Barcelona had 75% possession of the ball
24 attepmts at goal
14 of which were on target
2 of which hit the woodwork
955 passes to our 166

Fitba just does not make sense sometimes

Barcelona had a squad on the Park worth 10 times that of ours.
We could well have scored a 3rd had Mascherano not hauled down Watt after his winner.
It is rightly hailed as one of ou most famous victories at Celtic Park yet and yet Barca by rights should have battered us that night.

That’s Football the wee unfancied team had a game plan executed it well and rode our luck at times.
Much like Motherwell did on Sunday.
We were the busier side by far,we did not defend well and it cost us.
Just as hit has so so many times before.
Chances not taken cost in Football.
This Celtic side is no different from any other in that respect.

Calm the fcuk down and KTF.

Charlie, games we have not won at home that we have not competed in:
Molde,
Killie,
Motherwell,
Ajax,
Hearts

Away:
Aberdeen
Killie,
Molde

Apart from Ajax we have 10 times the others budgets, all just teams riding their luck or poor tactics and no fight or ideas from us?

Charlie Saiz

Molde both legs we were shite no getting round it the players were shockingly poor bar Bitton the rest aveage to poor.

The rest..
Celtic v Killie
Possession 65% 35%
Chances 20 6
On Target 5 3
Corners 10 3

Celtic v Motherwell
Possession 61% 39%
Chances 22 8
On Target 6 4
Corners 6 4

Celtic v Ajax
Possession 41% 59%
Chances 14 18
On Target 6 4
Corners 4 4

Celtic v Hearts
Possession 64% 36%
Chances 24 5
On Target 5 0

Away games:
Aberdeen v Celtic
Possession 46% 54%
Chances 5 13
On Target 2 3
Corners 2 7

Kilmarnock v Celtic
Possession 41% 59%
Chances 11 28
On Target 5 12
Corners 6 7

We could have won any of these games mentioned we had enough control of the ball created enough openings to win all of them.
Defending has been the issue that an wasting the many chances created during these games.
I have already highlighted the fact our defence has has serious issues with injuries and form not to mention the departure of the very successful pairing of Denaayer and Van Dijk.
You can choose to ignore these issues I am past caring now that’s the last input I will put into this Diary.
Be careful what you wish for folks it might just happen.

I seem to have watched a different game from you on Saturday Charlie if you think there is ANY comparison between that night in 2012 and Saturday. I could take your point if we had looked even remotely like scoring, but we didn’t. Motherwell were comfortable for the 90mins, as have quite a few teams that have played against us at CP this season.

Charlie Saiz

Bitton had 2 cleared off the line Ciftic had one ruled out for offside as he lazily sauntered back toward an onside position.
We had 61% Possession to their 39%
22 efforts at goal to their 8
6 on target to their 4
The game was there to be won.
We simply weren’t at it enough to do so.

There’s a crushing sense of inevitability about where this is heading. It just reminds me so much of Mowbray’s brief spell in charge; it’s obvious the players aren’t running through brick walls for Ronny, most of them look like they’re going through the motions. We are absolute murder to watch as well. Saturday was the worst Celtic performance I’ve seen since the semi-final against Ross County. We CANNOT go into next season’s CL qualifiers with this guy in charge. Nice fella, but totally out of his depth. We need to make a change, and quickly.

I would suggest that the majority of Celtic supporters have had enough of this crap.

At least when we played Barcelona we had some guts and fight….

Doc

‘Deila could win the treble so he should stay’ is what his backers say and yes, our treble dreams are kept alive thanks to wins against Stranraer and Hearts. Is that all it takes?

Compared to our domestic opponents, we are paying record high wages to players and paying record high money at the gate yet the only records broken on the pitch are negative ones.

We will have went two months without a home win. Macari, Barnes and Mowbray all done better in much more challenging situations. Maybe thats another record broken under Deila.

Devoy45

What I miss is having a run of good games, points in the bag, some mental breathing space. I’m still inclined to the Charlie Saiz point of view, with a touch of ewanbhoy. The anti-Ronny supporters make good points and may not have long to wait: we play Hearts and Dundee away, while The Sheep play Inverness and Partick at Pittodrie. A betting man would say we will drop at least two points (at Hearts) whilst Aberdeen will drop none. Then, Aberdeen will be one point ahead and we will have a game in hand, title race on! Hearts are out of the title picture. It’s funny though that the MSM, Sevco supporters and anti-Celtic types generally say that Ronny (unlike both Waistcoat and Swally) must be judged in Europe are now getting in such a lather about Motherwell. I’ve always said Ronny should be first judged domestically and I’ll stick by that. I didn’t like what I saw Saturday so Ronny and bhoys, get your act together, beginning with the Jambos!

delbhoy

Sorry but is this the celtic view? You are having a laugh. Support ronny, he said we were to open against motherwell! Jesus christwhat club does this guy think hes at!?. He is clueless with tactics , playing players out of postion like mcgreggor in centre mid and allan out wide which is resulting in players no having a clue and woeful performances like yesterday but according to you the developer is just trying to get players to play in other positions and we should applaud his genius wtf!!

One of ronnys favourite quotes is a player needs to improve all the time or he has no future… i think you have answered your own question mate. Maybe if he spent more time working on tactics instead of banging on about lifestyles and humanity every day we would have a fucking team!

Boyata got a lot of stick, unfairly I think, becomming the new efe scapegoat. Very poor game I agree, we ran out of ideas going forward which has happened under nearly every manager, didn’t like to see the long ball game at the end which seems why carlton cole was bought. Really missed the grifalo and Broonie. I like wee callum but don’t think he has enough agression to be pairing him with bitton. Faithful through and through and over and over I will follow you.

CeciltheLion

Reply to  celticreggae

It’s not that Boyata had a bad game, although he sure did, it’s just that he’s not had many good games. He’s chicken-hearted, he’s got no positional sense and he’s indecisive. Not characteristics normally associated with a quality CB.

We didn’t run out of idea, it’s just that Deila has no idea and the players see how much he’s spoofing it. Recipe for disaster.

Still, it’s not all bad, Charlie probably sees Ciftci and Cole as the new Sutton and Hartson. You’re right about the over and over bit and the board knows that we’ll stick with it; hence their contempt of us.

While great teams rarely get beaten by poor teams, it does happen as referenced by CS. That said, this was a very poor performance in front of a very quiet and relatively small crowd. At best The management team are getting one good game one bad game at the moment and that is inconsistent. The dwindling crowd (read revenue) and increasing calls for management changes will be heard by the Celtic Board and especially Desmond, hence his arrival. Yet we sit top of the SPFL by a point with a game in hand and in both domestic cups. In contrast to someone else on here’s opinion the best thing that can happen to us is to win every game we play and the treble. For these lackluster performances to gain luster and to dominate the domestic opposition. I think it is time for the Board to tell Ronnie that the “jakit is on a shoggly nail” and he better be 6-9 points clear by end of February with one cup in the bag. the same type of targets that he dishes out to players. While they are it they can tell him to respect some of the other teams in the SPFL who are better than he gives them credit for. Best for the team to do the talking on the pitch.

Cecil DD will give a shit if the supporters stop spending, after last Saturday’s crap I will not be back to sit in the rain and cold to watch that overpaid garbage.
After the Qarabaq game I felt like chucking it, especially when Dlildo came out with his game plan worked. I have put up with the great and the good times, also the crap times but never have I seen a bunch of gutless clowns.
Wayne Biggins or Carl Muggleton had more fight withLuigi, this lot are bad, The statistics and the arguments about Barca are a joke, this is a bad lot.
We have a plan, the one and only one, and as stated in my previous comments, we will bring in more dross in the hope that we can sell them on. The nam should be SELLTIC.
I am away to have a wee drink now.

CeciltheLion

Reply to  Cartvale88

Sorry, mate. What we spend is trivial compared to other funding streams. A few more thousand bums on seats at the ground will make no difference to Desmond. It’s the broadcasting money that he’s after and, until there’s a sign of movement there, we’ll carry on with the same business model, contempt for the supporters and a useless manager who’s ruining average players. He’s not even prepared to invest even for CL money until it’s 100% guaranteed; too late? You bet and I fear it’s too late for anything to be done about it. We get to such it up whilst our betters in the boardroom sneer at us contemptuously.

I believe that the team is imploding and I fear for the title. It is just as well the next 2 games are away as we have a better away record & the away support are amazing. At home we cannot break down Killie and on Saturday when Motherwell equalised did anyone believe we would win? I didn’t seen the horror show to often take the lead chuck it away instantly collapse. We were lucky it was not 5.

Steve Naive

Bollocks they could have won five…a miss by Ainsworth was a miss, that’s why he plays for ‘Well. I thought we would go on and get another but also knew that once they cleared up the park and Boyata couldn’t deal with it, they would probably score as well. He knew the crowd was killing him, Simo wasn’t helping, McDonald was fouling more than Lasley and the midden Madden was allowing it so he panics even more. Kick it to fuck and kick them as well…they were doing it to us from the off but we didn’t compete in this. The midfield, with Bitton and Rogic particularly culpable weren’t up for it from the off…with teams like them sometimes it is hand to hand combat and that’s one reason for the defeat. Lustig was poor and Moult gubbed him for pace. I hate to say it but we need to fight like fuck sometimes and forget trying the extra pass to walk it in. When we upped it at the restart they had everyone within ten yards of their 18 yard line for about 10 minutes and we scored. Got to say, man of the match…Mc Manus ffs.
