Worst result in Europe ever. Easily beaten at home by a team 6th in the Norwegian league. Some people were comparing Ronnie to jock Stein on this website earlier in the season. Wake up! I like the man. He is decent and means well. But is he is out of his depth? I realise that he is operating a league which is dying. This is why I only comment after European games as this is the only measure he can be judged against. What can we do? Can Ronnie get us into the champions league league next year? If we think he can then the board must back him and not downsize or there has to be a new manager in place by Christmas who can get things in place for next summer.
Totally agree Ronnie has to go now.Get another manager in now so that he can hit the ground running next season and have the team he needs to get us back to being a decent team in Europe.Something to make us proud of not embaressed about.We also need a top defensive coach on the coaching staff this is blatantly obvious.

A passionate,emotional and accurate assessment of tonight’s shite. Only one player wore the jersey with pride and tried to play the Celtic way, young KT. It’s a pity that those around him showed themselves to be a bunch of third rate mercenaries who are only interested in picking up their over inflated wages for as little effort possible.
What happened to Deila’ s high energy pressing game? I can move quicker than most of them and I’m 72 with a new knee. Multi passes across the back line might retain possession but they are not a good springboard for lightning attacks. Molde could cover the length of the pitch in five seconds with three or four passes and put our goal under constant threat.
Has Craig Gordon become a bad goalkeeper during the close season? I don’t think so.He must be a nervous wreck playing behind central defenders who should be charged admission to the game as they spend more time spectating than doing the jobs they are supposed to be doing.
I would like to see Ronnie given time to carry out his vision for the club, but I think the money men won’t trust him with another European campaign. I hope I’m wrong.

We are finished in Europe this year. We will probably win the triple this year. In reality is this enough? We should win the treble as we have about ten times the budget of all our rivals in the top division. How many managers could and should win the treble with the advantages celtic have in scotland? Build from the back with nothing fancy and then get add to that.

I fully agree, I think guys like Barnes, Mowbray and Macari will be looking on, wondering why they weren’t given the same time and money. Malmo was the last straw for me, it showed we’re going back. Last night was a major low, watching us struggle against such a limited team was painful.

That was among the worst performances I’ve seen of late. Don’t know how to analyze it but some things stand out: no leadership, no fighting spirit, no creativity in midfield, no penetration, most players played poorly, the loss of really poor goals due to woeful defending. Celtic need to score three to win a game in Europe and that knowledge must be really dispiriting for the attacking players.
WHy can’t Deila inspire these players? I just don’t think he and his players have got what it takes to win in Europe and that’s were everyone has to be judged, the domestic treble is nice but it can’t remain the foundation of Celtic’s reputation.
We really need a defense. Send Blackett back in January, get rid of Ambrose and Boyota and Izaguirre sooner rather than later, bed in a replacement for Lustig who due to injuries is never going to get back to his best. Drop Johanssen for an extended period and then see if he can get back to his best – Ambrose didn’t so it not a foregone conclusion. I think Bitton with decent players around him can become a major player for Celtic, ditto Tierney. Commons is at the end of his career so just bit parts. Maybe Rogic can be an important player for us but not on tonight’s showing. Armstrong and Ciftci? Do they really have enough? Certainly Ciftci doesn’t appear to. Last we had 2 strikers and then what? Nothing got ignited. Forrest was anonymous too.

I would normally come on and defend the Manager after yet another abject display from so many players.
However I am not going to he will live or die by his results at Celtic same as all the rest (bar Lenny who had no end of shite to put up with).
I said this a couple of weeks ago I think we have a team of bottlers in Europe unable to make the step up and believe me 6 or not in Noway right now they are a step up from our usual fare which is a pointer to exactly how mediocre ou League is at present.

Boyata and Blackett are not good enough Ambrose is to eratic and Mulgrew too slow.
Lustig is not the player he was and certainly not the best RB we have when fit I would start Janko myself when fit.
Tierney is a shoe in for LB at 18 he has shown more fight than any tonight.
Bitton thinks he is Pirlo already thinks he has all day to tun on the ball.not in Europe son pick a pass and play it pronto.
Johansen has been poor all Season billy big baws after his POTY totally went to his heid(I think he is the issue at the moment within the squad).

I think Ronny should get his best youth development coach in to teach the basics to the defence. I am willing to let this manager stay for 1 more Crack and I will tell you why…. If he can figure out a way of dealing with this he will continue to develop young players. I have been screaming for Celtic to play Scots and players from our youth system. As long as we win the Treble and continue developing youngsters I am OK with it. Charlie I like your idea, but I would rather organize, contribute and then buy shares. Like Charlie in the pro-Ronny camp, I agree with most of the above but Ronny NOT out now. He should be given three full years. Molde is a very good team, playing as a team. We got supposedly the hottest manager in Norwegian football supposedly to make us better. He has a bigger budget than molde and has made us absolutely honking.
We may have issues with the board but at some point the manager becomes responsible for results.

Molde haven’t bought a player since 2012 and their midfield ‘dynamo’ is 40, older than every Celtic player in history, bar Alec McNair, and Izzy has more caps than their entire team combined. Can’t agree that they are ‘a very good team’ as you put it.
A better team than Fenerbache Ajax and Celtic though it would appear.

Ronny has been brought in to work with a shite budget and guide young players. Could yogi hughes no do this , that guy has players running through brick walls for him and any team hes been at has played nice passing football. Lets face it he couldnt be any worse than what we have.

What “I’m on” is that Tierney is due solely to Ronny and his approach. He can bring the best of younger players and our youngsters never even got a chance under MON, Strachan or Lenny. We’ve got a young team but youngsters learn the hard way (Molde) One day, we would have Allan, Tierney, Christie, Liam Henderson and others firing on all cylinders at home and in Europe. If we don’t win domestically, we can’t even play in Europe. Here’s how it’s gonna run: Ronny should be given at least one more year to qualify in Europe. Ronny can see if his team can perform a near-miracle and win the next two Europa League matches. Ronny may even win a treble this year. If we win five in a row and two in a row for Ronny, then why not another year? If we got rid of Ronny now, it would set us back two or three years. Next year, Sevco and its hordes will join our league and we will have to dispose of them as well which should be fun and maybe even a challenge, since they now have a manager who knows how to manage. A friend of mine had a son whose doctor said his leg should be amputated. She said there must be another way. He still has his leg. IMO Ronny should be given a full five years to show what he can do with a team of his making, with defenders who stay and gel, and a young fit team at home and in Europe. One mistake I made and all of your are making now is that Molde is a really good team. You’ll see how good when we play Ajax and Fenerbahce who are not so good. I was not going to post at all today simply because the clueless one has knocked the passion out of me as well as the team and I’m close to getting to the stage where as long as he’s still the manager, I simply will not give a fuck.
Due to this years results, next year we have to make the last 32 of the CL or semi final of EL or else we drop our European ranking, meaning we get teams like Salzburg in the CL round 2. Losing at that stage will see us out of Europe, no EL fallback. We could be looking at least 5 years of this, until we equal what MON done in Europe.

Difficult to understand the level dropping in European games consistently. Players seem lost in these games and also seem uninterested except one or two. I think our goose is cooked in Europe this year and I think we have all underestimated Molde. Who are unbeaten in EL and won away at Fenerbache. The person who has underestimated them most is our manager and his staff. He’s actually Norwegian so should have a better idea of them and how they play. The second half of this game was dire. No plan B and basics iike tackling and passing all very poor. I am Unable to understand it. Has the dressing room been lost?

Well bhoys its ok saying Ronnie out but what feckin decent manager would take the job knowing that as soon as he helps to develop any decent players they will be sold off to the highest bidder. Its all very well the board and lawell saying we need european fitba’ but when we get it don’t sell the manager and fans down the river by selling off the players that got us there. we should give the manager a chance and hold on to our best players.
