The Kings New Clothes

Charlie Saiz ponders the media circus surrounding Dave King…..

So the King is back being paraded round the Scottish Mainstream Media Circus Tent in his immaculate new suit.
The Feldman gaze may be the same, the dour, monotone delivery may be the same but the rest of us are being asked to believe this is a new man we have heralded before us.
There’s a Bhoy at the back of the room shouting “but he’s a glib, shameless liar wearing the same brogues and tie as before”
But the rest for the life of them just do not see it…or as the case may be simply do not want to say what they see for fear of retribution from the newly crowned King.
After all there is a Carvery laid on after with all the Succulent Lamb you can eat provided you like and more importantly see the suit.

Perhaps Hans Christian Andersen was in fact a Modern Day Nostradamus when he penned his wee classic tale or perhaps it was the case he like some of the rest of us was that wee bit more aware of what he seen going on around him at the time of writing?
After all misinformation and manipulation of the press is not exactly a new phenomena is it?
Emperors,Kings,Leaders and Dictators alike have all used it at some point to push their own particular agendas forward.
Dave King is no different in that respect he after all worked under a master of the dark art in David Murray.
Sure Murray made mistakes at Old Rangers even the most die hard of Rangers fan now knows this but the press who he played and toyed with so well will not have a bad word uttered against the man.
Oh no his Rangers suit hangs laundered in his Armoire immaculate as ever.

Dave King it would appear from the off is going to be afforded much the same grace by our legions of “trusted” stenographers.
They will lament on the £20m Dave King sunk into Old Rangers as proof he is and always was the right man to take New Rangers forward.
What they will not do is tell you that £20m came from his Ben Nevis Account at a time when he owed the South African Government over £200m in Tax.

The Bhoy in the room can scream as loud as he wants to them it will make no difference.
The fear of the Carvery being pulled will ensure that.

Dave King as was said on Clyde yesterday by Hugh Keevins has served his punishment as regarding his being found guilty of 41 counts of deceit that have denied the South African Government over £200m in Tax.
They were sending the man to jail for the rest of his life but instead agreed on a Financial get out of Jail Card costing a fraction of what he actually stole from them.

This is not a man who has served his time Hugh this is a man who by his means of Deception had the Cash to buy his way out of Prison without serving a single day for his actions.
Same way as he had the Cash to throw £20m into the bottomless pit that was Old Rangers under Murray.

So when today I read of how much Scottish Football will benefit from the arrival of the New King in his new suit down Govan way please excuse me if I don’t have a wee shout from the back of the Circus Tent.

After all all I see is Tax Dodging criminal wearing the same Brogues,Blazer and Tie as the old one that left them high and dry the last time.

Celtic secured their biggest ever Shirt Deal this week, Aberdeen who I am led to believe are now Debt free and playing their best Football in 2 decades are pushing for the Title.
Several other Clubs are now financially sound and playing decent Football under Managers who wish to play a more expansive type of Football within their means.

All of this has transpired in the Absence of Old Rangers.
The Arms race David Murray created in the 90’s destroyed Scottish Football as a Contest no Club had a chance of Keeping up.
The Press revelled in this ,they dined and grew fat on the Carvery set up by Murray.
They ignored the void his Chequebook Policy created and derided Celtic as it nearly fell into the Abyss.

It has taken our Game nearly 20 years to recover from this.
It is the Clubs themselves who have launched their own recoveries not The SFA or The League as they have done little to assist them in the past 3 years since Rangers demise.

Yet here they are the very same people who ignored the goings on in the past telling us to welcome back the very same People involved in causing the disparity in the first place.
And for what?

So they can dine at our expense again.

Aye right.

Charlie you are preaching to the converted.nobody on the other side is going to pay any attention to your penmanship no matter how truthful it is.as we all know they are all Hun sympathisers bar a few who are too cowardly to say or put anything in print .so it was so it shall be.my commiserations to you.

I’m not preaching John all I am doing is shouting from the back of the tent.
Just like the wee boy did in the tale for if no one shouts the farce just goes on and on.

Say nothing, do nothing then expect nothing to change bud.

Good article Charlie, I enjoyed it, however, no mention of the big bad wolf, Mike Ashley. What he wants he usually gets. I dont think this soap is over by a long stretch. Just like Eastenders I think there may be dark clouds forming and more misery to be had for the followers of whatever they call themselves now. Time will tell, but one thing is for sure there will be no decent journalism to describe the farce that is continuing over Govan, As you have pointed out they will accept anyone as long as they are a saviour for their favourites in blue.

His cards have yet to be played Tyneside and I fully expect he holds a very good hand.
He unlike all the other players has the money to take a Gamble,up the stakes whenever he want’s.
I read somewhere yesterday Mr Murray will decide once he looks at the Contracts whether they are for the benefit of the Club and if not then they will be addressed?

Mike Ashley will have plenty to say about that I reckon.

He could buy and sell that mob over and over.
He has control of the some of the Assets by means of the Loans he’s gambling on them defaulting on the Loans and he unlike them has had a good look at the books.

The smart money would be on Ashley to win any court battle regarding those Contracts I think.

Excellent piece,Charlie.Unlike,the stenographers
it’s truthfully and incise.
What we have, is hot air and promises coming from all directions.Great!
What we have,is a club trading, whilst being insolvent. Not a peep from the sfa brotherhood,
regarding this major rule break.
Let’s sit back, watch and enjoy.Other teams,do their talking on the park.As yesterday showed,
Sevco got NO boost on the park, from their egm hollow victory.

Cheers Holy;-)

I agree whilst it amuses me to sit back and watch the Media fawn allover a convicted Tax Thief like he’s the new messiah we should not sit in silence whilst they airbrush the past.

You can almost smell the Lamb coming off the screen as you read the bullshit.
The Records response to Lambllias yesterday was a real child in the playground moment I thought and highlighted exactly how classless and immature those that write and Edit that paper are.
It’s no wonder they are so easy to buy.

The truth as they say will always out sometimes it just needs a wee shove to get it going.

That’s where we the general public come in.

We cannot afford to simply sit in silence and hope someone else say’s it.
Nope best we all say it and keep saying it till someone in the MSM finds a voice and shouts it from their front page.

Every time someone prints the sentence “King lost £20m on Rangers” remind them the £20m was Tax due to SARS hidden in his Ben Nevis Offshore Account.

Disappointed for Cowdenbeath…two points down the pan…
They’ll be kicking themselves.
As for your article Charlie…
Did you hear Paul Murray’s interview on the wireless yesterday…?
He rubbished every club in Scotland…spoke a load of triumphalist shite…and just fell short of saying…
“We arra peeepul.”.
Feckin’ shockin’ interview…
BBC loved it.
Some things will never change.

I gather Bootleg Gers werer awful again and Agent McDowall was happy with their application.

Ooft whit a riddy.

I read a bit last night I am pretty sure so will Mike Ashley with great interest.

Talk is cheap Mike and Mr Ashley has the dough to buy and sell them all over and over again.
The press are playing their game right now.
Talk the game in Scotland down whilst building them up hoping that they do come up and when it happens we will all be on an equal footing again.

The airbrushers meanwhile working serious overtime at the print press.

Their sense of entitlement and superiority complex will kill them again, MA does not do second prizes in business, watch this farce unfold its gonna be comedy gold.
Their team on the park are a complete joke and will be in that division for at least one more season, the sevconians don’t really want them up next season for fear of total humiliation at the hands of full time professional outfits.

As hard a game as we could have got from the draw, let’s hope midweek was a wee reality check.
COYBIG.

Excellent work Charlie. Our duty is to shout regardless of who will listen. Mike Ashley is key in this. It should be fun.

My mate’s just e-mailed me an article written by Michael Gannon in the Daily Ranger.
If this doesn’t hightlight the anti-Celtic attitudes in our Press…nothing will.

Right on Charlie the dog and pony show at Ibrox is sickening in its irony and brazen in its arrogance. Crowd sourced legal action to wipe the previous titles and cups won when there was an illegal financial advantage. Secondly a full police investigation into the Moonbeam years based on tax fraud – board, banks, accountants all to be examined. Hopefully during White’s trial he will speak up on the back room deals. We all need to keep the pressure on them and keep focusing on the truth.
