Who Is To Blame?
8th October 2014.
His positive thinking seems to bode well with us
But the techniques he’s using are causing a fuss
What happened to football in this new found regime
One touch or two touch won’t work in this team
We’re not Barcelona with their clinical skills
We’re a team on a diet who no longer thrill
But do we blame the manager, system or players
Or is it the gods just don’t listen to our twice nightly prayers!
Maybe our Norseman, wee Ronny, prays to Odin and Thor
Because our fans have become restless in an internal war
Stick by wee Ronny, I hear some of you say
Then some say, get rid, that’s not how Celtic should play
Scott Brown blamed the players for hiding in games
But it’s the hiding we’re taking against lesser names
And it’s not just The Accies and not just this league
We were embarrassed in Europe, was that too, fatigue?
This systems not working, you ask too much too soon
I’ve heard “we’re like heidless chickens chasing each other roon”
You say we make chances but what we need are goals
One striker up front and a defence full of holes
I know there are injuries and that I accept
But the choices you make are sometimes just too inept
And the rumblings go on between our own fans
And with our top tier closed, we still can’t fill the stands
Our football is waning failing with the crowds in decline
Yet our chiefs in the background still think this is fine
Who’s picking the team, are strings being pulled
Or do Desmond and Lawwell think we’re being fooled
The urgency, passion, that desire’s not there
The goals have dried up and we’ve lost all our flair
We hear: Rubbish, that’s garbage, that’s pure utter shite
We’re sixth in the league so something’s not right
We’ll never desert them, we won’t walk away
But bring back our Celtic to play the Celtic way.

A contradiction of the Celtic way,
It’s been a long time since I felt such dismay
I’d feel much much better if you went away,
You seem a nice man and I hope your career get’s back on track,

has anyone seen better football than the exhibition and continuous pressing that was a feature of the 6-1 demolition of Dundee United?
Why this has proved so difficult to repeat since that event is the question that I would like to be answered.

About upset supporters and results oh so shitty
But we can some of US rhyme and make anything fit
About the injuries and misses that make us look shit
But when you look at the stats from the past 8 results
We create more than enough so it’s the strikers at fault

The ground has been emptying for over 2 years
They carried on for they had no fears
Zero Debt was the Mantra and the real aim
Now Ronny pariah he’s the one you all blame
8 games in and your panicking like mad
Meanwhile in the Europa we’re not looking so bad
I shall leave you this thought as I wind this shit up
We’re 6 points adrift and still in all the Cups.

When the injured return I think we’ll be fine
