A big Yes to the big question, and a No to the propaganda machine that lots of folks are falling for.

A bigger Yes and a pre-order to the new away top… We’re Celtic, Irish/Scots and it’s about time we summed it up… Celtify the home top with a wee bit of tartan in the hoops! Better links with our Irish cousins post referendum will be a Win Win!

The new strip is absolutely magic. From an expat living in Canada this is superb. O I a big YES to independence.

By the way are we selling matching kilts ?

What has Scotland got to do with most Celtic fans? Other than they they are based in the horrible city that is Glasgow. The Celts should move to London or Manchester.

i’ll reserve judgement until i’ve seen the new kit in a shop, but onscreen, it looks like a horse blanket. As my mate from Bradford would say, “Aye lad, it’s a nice piece of Batley.”

Why are we bringing politics into this, is this not a site about Celtic???

Dave kerr

Thought this was a celtic site not wee alec party political broadcast site.

can we give this independance shit a miss and stick with football

Love those Celtic fans who stand all proud talking abot Brother Walfrid and his founding of the club in response to the poverty caused by Politics yet as soon as Scottish Politis arises its “Please leave it out!”

Some of us are scunnered with this yes pish on a Celtic MB mate, I wouldn’t trust the wee fat diet hun as far as I could throw him, if I want politics i’ll go to the MSM…………….Please?

Reply to  Bawsman

Scunnered?

You’re easily scunered if a Celtic top and the word YES can get you annoyed.

Feel free to write in any Celtic articles to help displace such scunnering pieces mind. All welcome.

As Big Jock said in 1972

“Surely there are enough Celtic songs without introducing religion or politics or anything else?”

so lets keep the yes or no pish for the political sites and be focused on what happens to celtic not what wee alec says

well you are bringing your political views onto a footbal fanzine and taking the oppurtunity to broadcast
your opinion.
very similar to what a certain party leader does at every oppurtunity.
what was wrong with showing a picture of the new strip with the actual sponsors name on it not a YES or NO
depending on who posted the article .

Football should remain independant of politics and not be part of it

The new strip has already been covered, twice in the Diary i believe.
This was a new twist, some woudl even dare say a welcome one.

A certain party leader bringing poltical views into conversation, isnt that every party leaders job?
And be better if names or titles were named, using terms like “certain party leader” is a bit vague, is it the First Minister for example?

Agree, should be football only. Love the top but too expensive at 55 – 60 quid and 25 quid for shorts!!!

Other than this design makes it look like someone has the celtic badge in their cross-hairs I am not against a tartan strip per se.

JUST SAY NO TO THE FAT GRANNY SHAGGING BIGOT ON SEPT 14TH.SCOTLAND THE MOST BIGOTED LITTLE COUNTRY IN THE WORLD
SOME INDEPENDENCE KEEP THE ROYAL SCUM(LOOKING FORTHE ORANGE VOTE),KEEP THE POUND(NO CHANCE OF THAT)
SEND SALMOND INTO RETIREMENT

Reply to  deadhead67

You dont half talk some shite.
It was Labour coveting the Orange Order with promises for votes against the SNP in recent elections. If your going to rant, try and get your facts right first.

Keep the pound….you dont know anything about Sterling and currency markets at all do you?

Dod we just become a bigotted country after only 7 years of SNP rule btw?

An independence vote for YES is not a vote for SNP… They have to run for election after independence.

Scotland is my home, not Ireland despite my Irish heritage. That’s where Celtic are based. Celtic are in the Scottish league, Celtic are Scottish with an important Irish heritage too.

sick and tired with idiots in this country basing all of their important decisions on whether someone is Catholic or not. Please please please… If you’re not intelligent enough to vote, don’t do it… And get your hatred tae…! Times have changed, you’re in the past! Lets leave it there and get back to supporting the mighty Celtic!!!

Aye deadhead67 vote no to keep the Butcher’s Apron. You’re just like the orangemen who love being British? Vote no to keep the status quo. No way man. Vote yes to end the Union and burn the union flag. A vote yes is not for salmond who is a smug git. It is for Scotland. One step at a time. Independence first. Republic of Scotland later. Hail Hail.
New tap is a bit too tartan. Probably still get it in summer. It looks better with nae sponsor as well. Heard we’re bringing oot a new third too, which is mostly white with yellow and green. Hope it is plain and simple. Naybe with a tricolour feel to it. Dunno why Nike always give us complicated designs like oot o a wain’s colouring book. Would be better to get a tap simple yet smart like the French national team always seem to get.
COME ON YOU BHOYS IN GREEN!

Greenjedi

You do know that the vote in September is about the future of Scotland and not a vote for Alex Salmond don’t you bhoys? Please please please tell me you are smart enough to know that!

In 30 years time how will you explain to your kids or grandkids that you voted to keep the tories in charge of Scotland forever because you dinnae like a a guy (who’s name you can’t even remember) who was running the Yes campaign?

Bawsman

Smart enough to know that we won’t get back into the EU unless it’s on THEIR terms. Eg. Euro, not pound.

Smart enough to know that every shipbuilding / MOD job will go south.

You may flippantly say, good riddance but they are quality/highly skilled jobs in the main, not to mention the support workers. No way in this world would English MP’s allow navy ships to be built in a foreign country.

Enough of the politics, lets sign Sammy on.

Absolutely well said… This is what needs to be reiterated to the Scottish people. We can get independence in Sept, then not vote for Salmond if we don’t want him.

just a matter of reading about it rather than letting hatred rule your head… Not that hard!

Great stuff Greenjedi. Seems some of the above are as bright as 2 o’clock in the morning. Get The message, IT”S NOT ABOUT ALEX SALMOND.

It’s about ruling our own country through thick and thin… Is everything rosy coloured as it is now?

two members of my family and six of my friends were made redundant a couple of years ago because of decisions made by Westminster and an elitist Etonian government.

some of you have a very short memory!

mattgallscot

Well said greenjedi. I wish people would take their head out of there arse and see this as a good thing. But it is ok if the no voters don’t mind being called unionists as they sing songs about a free Ireland.

Boyhood's Fire

And it has no parallels to the Ireland question either. This misunderstanding has the same dangers as making it about the SNP. At least the latter carries some modicum of weight as the SNP will get to negotiate key, irreversible decisions of massive importance for Scotland if they get their yes vote. We will not get a chance to vote them out until later.

We are not and never have been oppressed by the rest of the UK. Republican and Unionist labels do not apply to this question in the same way.

Vote yes if you think it makes economic sense in this delicate financial climate. I have yet to be convinced.

Each to their own though, independence or otherwise, Rangers are still dead.

Normally not political but independence is more than that. Put my tuppence worth down on the Yes side as the thought that the next government is looking like a tory/ukip coalition is sickening. The upcoming national service worries me, i see some the youngsters nowadays and wonder how they survived PE at school never mind having the taliban shooting at them, soldiering is for volunteers not to force the general population to fight in Irag, Afghanistan or NI.

On the football side, if Scotland was independent maybe Scottish sky sports subscription money would actually go to Scottish teams rather than subsidising the EPL.

What about all of the jobs that will be created in Scotland ?
We will need our own dvla post office passport office
Inland revenue MOD ect.
Remember all of the jobs that disappeared down to England over the past 30 odd years? This will continue
With the Tories to keep their voters happy.

Tony Paterson

Like the strip.

Love the fact you lads are expressing your opinion.

My opinion is any Celtic fan voting No is a numpty.

Well done Bhoys – keep up the good work!
