Celtic Diary Wednesday March 2: The Message

Yesterdays announcement that Celtic will play in a tournament in australia during the Qatar World cup seems to have ruffled a few feathers among the support.

Thats because the word is that whichever version of Rangers is around at the time will also take part, and that is unacceptable.

The entity that cheated , lied and almost destroyed our game has been given a reprieve and has carried on in exactly the same way since it’s inception in 2012, bar the EBT’s, and all with the blessing of the Celtic board.

Put simply, by participating in a tournament that aligns the two clubs as a brand in itself is to become a part of what remains the biggest scandal in British sporting history.

Unless Abramovich is allowed to sell Chelsea before it’s seized, that is.

It’s a pity.

Clearly, and rightly, Ange Postecoglou is proud of what he’s doing while he’s working away from home, and for him to want to take it back and show his country what he’s achieved thus far is only natural.

“I haven’t been home for almost three years by the time this comes around so I’m super-excited.

Which is fair enough. If I’m away for more than a couple of nights I get excited as well about a return home, although that is mostly fear and panic as I try to think up an excuse.

It is a homecoming in many respects. That’s where my roots are, that’s where I grew up and I know that since I’ve been in this position at Celtic, people have been following my journey, whether they know me or not, and I’ll have a great sense of pride going back to Australia as manager of Celtic.

“It will be special. The club’s always had a strong connection with Australia, and I know how passionate the supporters’ groups are down there and how they follow the club, whether that’s been with Tommy Rogic or Scotty McDonald, or Jackson Irvine – people who have passed through the club – and now I am the manager of the club.

“And I think the Australian public, in general, will take great pride that one of theirs is in charge of such a famous club.

“We just want to represent this football club and what it’s all about. I’ve understood the responsibility I have for it since I’ve taken on the role, but I just know how passionate people are and the first thing is they’ll want to get to the ground and watch the team play, just to have that feeling.

It may even be that they want to see a Celtic -Rangers ” game in the flesh, but they are a decade or so too late.

To pretend otherwise is to condone the cheating and lies that have riddled Scottish football before, during and after the scandal.

Up until a couple of hours ago, no official source mentioned “rangers ” as a participant, probably because they were waiting to see if they could afford the plane fare, but maybe the aussies have given them an advance , because Western Sydney’s Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade, Minister for Tourism and Sport, Stuart Ayles, has revealed full details (Record

He said

“Sydney has kicked another goal as Australia’s home of football with the world’s best clubs coming out to play our hometown heroes in the Sydney Super Cup. What better way to start than with a historic rivalry like the Celtic vs Rangers derby.

“This will be the first time in history this iconic matchup has been played outside of Scotland, so this will be a huge attraction for football fans domestically and abroad.

With three big matches played over five nights, visiting football fans will have an opportunity for an extended stay in the Harbour City, enjoying our vast cultural offerings, and vibrant hospitality and nightlife in one of the world’s great sporting cities.

“The benefits for our city and state will be huge, as we look to bring visitors back to Sydney by creating a regular blockbuster bi-annual event that will showcase our city, our local teams and our world-class stadiums to the rest of world.

“The NSW Government is focused on delivering marquee events like the Sydney Super Cup that capture the world’s attention, drive the NSW visitor economy and build Sydney’s reputation as the major events capital of the Asia Pacific.”

He’s clearly never had a travelling Ibrox support in his city, and would do well to consult those who have.

The Celtic board continues on it’s cataclysmic journey with yet another attempt to continue a brand that no longer exosts, a brand that was permanently damaged in the eyes of the world , a brand which prevents Celtic from being a truly global industry, as it will forever be tainted as part of a parochial rivalry that exists only in name to pander to one half of it.

Well, there’s a hidden message in this piece for the Celtic board….

Baby On Board Sign Fuck Off

Once they told us they were not half of anything, and like so many in the public eye their actions have shown us that they are feeding us what they think we want to eat.

Yes, ange should take his team home and show it off to his pals. He’s earned that right.

But to incorporate them ?

I refer you to my earlier statement….

Fuck off! : r/SuccessionTV

Elsewhere, Celtic play St Mirren tonight.

Let me know how they get on.

I used to like them.

Two years of Covid 19 and all the joy and happiness that brought us, possibly on the verge of WW III which will be lovely, we look to our football club to lift us, raise our morale & mental wellbeing……” The rangers will join Celtic on the Australian tour ”

Mental health wise at the moment I couldn’t feel worse.

Thanks Celtic.

* Celtic board of directors, please leave the club today.

Unless Abramovich is allowed to sell Chelsea before it’s seized, that is. Smart, makes his excuses and gets out, unlike some boards who do not see the prevailing winds.

Sevco. Just a sorry excuse.

Your comments echo the Celtic support Ralph, well done. To alienate us like this is hunbelievable, sorry, unbelievable. Big dilemna though: How can the Board’s decision here be reversed?! Break / buy out the contract? Can you seriously see that happening?!?! Anyway, I’m a great believer in that if you don’t laugh you will cry so as the youngsters would say, what a LOL moment…..”……..if I’m away for more than a couple of nights I get excited as well about a return home, although that is mostly fear and panic as I try to think up an excuse”! Brilliant, just brilliant!

Good to see a fair old smattering of swearie words in the diary this morning, though with very good reason. Sack the Board…shower of c*#ts.

The suits are a disgrace to Celtic Football Club, their stewardship since the Brenda left a disaster, trying to make a quick buck. A shower of snake oil shysters not interested in Celtic becoming a Global enterprise but tied to Sevco, Enough is enough they take fans and their loyalty for granted. Well written article

Announced on the same day as the news on the Boys Club scandal broke further… we have to pressure these charlatans out of our Club.
Few weeks ago I was walking up Buchanan Street and glanced at a cords and tweed jacket wearing guy looking at his phone. As I passed him I realized it was Brian Wilson. I couldn’t think of something to go back and say to him. Still can’t, but I should have said something. Continues to annoy me somewhat.

Precisely on the timing of the release. Nauseating.

i am sure Brian Wilson, who is certainly not the most popular of our Board members
was delighted not to be spoken to or shouted at as he went about his private business, by a naive individual lacking in common courtesy and manner

The huns will have to leave a fortnight earlier before the comp begins.
All animals are to quarantine between 10-14 days before being released into the public.

If there was ever any doubt that this Celtic board are taking us for mugs this well and truly erases that doubt, this board of utter w#nkers are using all of our loyalty to keep the zombies in business. Words can’t describe how angry I am. The contempt that we are being treated with is off the scale. F#ck this Celtic board, the only language that they will understand is to stop funding them.

The problem is the matches will be a big success, money will be made, then when they come back, we’ll all still have our season tickets and we’ll still go to matches and nothing will change. The complaints and shouts will be a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing.

Can you go guarantor for their fans? Their away games are such a great success that they usually stick to Linfield.

The Cha

Will they though, as the games are being played in a 83,000 capacity stadium?

Given our appalling Euro record and backwater league, I can’t see 10s of thousands turning out to see us.

Sure there will be interest in Ange but mass crowds I doubt it.

Liverpool, Manure and others would attract the EPL fanboys to pack it out but we don’t have that and never will until we make a serious mark in Europe.

Once again our shyster Board play a blinder.
The vast majority of our fans don’t want anything to do with the new club across the city. Now our Board want to assist them in exporting their bile around the globe.
Shame on them.
Parasites !!

The premier of New South Wales is a devout catholic(not that I’m condoning it)but a few choruses of the Billy boys would be sure to set the cat among the pigeons.

But will he know the history of the song, or the words even?

Will this be the helping hand(shake) that will get them round the corner?

According to one of them, I couldn`t even bear (no pun) to mention his name, there will be more money to be made in this tourney than all the SPL games combined.

Of more concern to me is the absolute shite served up first half, why the fuck do we get the ball boys to be quick in getting the ball back when we just slow everything down, struggling to find a team mate with a 5 yard pass several times. Juranovic having a ‘mare, Hatate hopeless, Jota a one trick pony, maybe you could try going on the outside for once, Abada on the periphery, Maeda plenty of pace but little else,Calmac try a forward pass. The only time we’ve been dangerous is the few times we’ve got to the byline and cut a low ball back, yet they keep turning inside!!

Premier of NSW is a fvckwit. I live in Sydney and I’ve mixed feelings about the Sydney cup. It’ll be a reserva match anyway. Good for us. And if I’m right we would probably have more signings by then. So yeah love to see Celtic think the tie with them will be a damp squib. All smiles and friendly.

This cant happen! I lived in Sydney for 8 year they dont know what’s coming but we do!! Its disgusting this board have endorsed this! We have a big support in Sydney out west on the subhurbs to why? Cause the migrants from here and ireland are proud of our club same as us but your typical hun on leaving ” brigadoon” scotland soon realise they have no ” ” enablabers like they do here in the police or goverment, you know ” guy wore green so what we supposed to do”after they riot and no broken electrical equipment remember the Manchester excuse! Apart from no want to be part of the always dreaded and now dead ” o f” ( cant even write it never mind say it!) This will drag us into the mire want bother the ” poison” they thrive and live there” This is wrong on so many levels and the Australian public will see the carnage and we know this will be reprted as two Glasgow sides! By all means go and enjoy the country Celticbrate our great club in Sydney great city but dont invite the ” Devil” this only ends up bad for us majorly! Its late november which makes it even worse as beaches be busy in late spring can you imagine the huns anti social vile racist sectarian behaviour they only need groups of over 10 to cause their vile anti social behaviour it be like ” a walkkkk”, also they will know in the main Australia is a catholic country. This board need removed for this its disgusting worse than the whole lennon affair last year 100 time more ,this isnt an exaggeration but I see this be international news in a very bad way and aligns us to utter poison it well documented every city the poison go there is mayhem and youll have right wing london types joining in with wee one year visa type trust me on this I know, they have little fan base there unlike us but plenty casual bigots who will come out for this, this board will have blood on their hands for this liberally! It needs nipped in the bud now! We go alone we are the draw if not we cancel completely! This cannot happen!

Youcan just see what’ll happen. Before the match they’ll show their usual ignorance singing their Bigoted Billy anthems in the local pubs. Then after the game they’ll make for the Celtic fans and all hell will break loose. After the match the Aussies will be treated to how huns like to smash shop windows and shite, pish and vomit in the streets and fight with the local constabulary.
And back in Scotland the media will scream “Celtic and *rangers fans shame Scotland”.
Can the board not see this coming? Stupid greedy Tory Masonic wankers that they are.

As a forward, you would not be too happy that a defender and a midfielder won you the game.

Livingston, take heed.

Port,
It’s a team game. For CCV to score you needed Starfelt ( good game) to challenge in there. He didn’t know where he was but caused the ball to break. Similarly Jota with the blocked header to come off the defenders face and break to Calmac. They are anti football, especially Alnwick, Power, Tanser and the ever greetin’ faced Jones. We kept pushing and were rewarded. Good banner GB.
