Celtic host Kilmarnock today, and as the scales have now fallen from the managers eyes, can we expect a rip roaring roister joistering performance that will put the merry back into our christmases ?

I find that video strangely hypnotic….
Seeing as how everyone else has taken it on themselves to pick the team for the manager, I’ll offer my overvalued tuppence worth.
Barkas in goal. He;s never played in front of a proper defence and now that Lennon has decided that to have one may be beneficial its worth seeing what he can do.
At right back, step, nay sprint forward, Kris Ajer. He can defend, and when he makes his odd grabs for opposing players the resultant free kicks are less damaging out on the flanks. He can tackle, and he can overlap. Certainly a better option than Elhamed, who left his wife at home in Israel and still can;t enjoy life in Glasgow.,
On the left flank, Greg Taylor. Forget Laxalt. He’s clueless.
In the middle Chris Jullien , having hired proper medical staff instead of the quacks at Celtic Park , is back to fitness, and along with Shane Duffy we can now play two recognised centre halves in that position. horses for courses, as they say, although the more cruel among you may mention donkeys for derbies.
But its not a derby, and they aren’t donkeys. however, getting them used to each other will get the defence ready for when we do play the donkeys in the Glasgow derby.
In midfield, Ismael Soro, described by one fan as the complete midfielder…you know who you are…gets the holding position, with Calum MacGregor and Ryan Christie in front of him.
that gives David Turnbull a roving number ten role behind Patrick Klimala and Oddsone Edoaurd.
Told you, piece of piss this management lark.
For Celtic, the season starts now, and a result and performance today will lift the sagging spirits among the support, and on that basis the last thing we need is a protest outside the ground.
If you are going to turn up, then support the players, there’s not even any need to mention the incompetents in the board room.
Which brings me to the Celtic Trust…as its their job, with their boosted membership to act as mediators between us who pay for the club and those who spend that money.
We need to know why there is a CEO in place who has lied to shareholders, and if he lies to us then they need to be aware that he may well be lying to them as well.
Can Desmond trust him ? Can anyone trust him ?
There’s an AGM for that sort of thing though, and thats when the pressure should be out on him to explain his actions that have led to a situation where shareholders feel they have someone representing them who they simply cannot trust.
Which reminds me, you won’t have seen this reply to Fridays diary from Auldheid that updates us ahead of tomorrows AGM…

Caption; wow..according to this, Turnbull Soro and Hazard were all available this season…
And for today…..
A follow up attempt to set out what is going on with Resolution 11/12 is set out in an interview with an American based Tim on the basis if he got the points being made then they were being articulated properly on something that has caused confusion.
It can be read at Celtic AGM Special: Auldheid on ‘Moral Hazard’ and the Res12 Hod Carriers Bowing Out (thecelticstar.com) along with other points on moral hazard, why our business model needs reviewed and why the CST should now pick up the baton, not just because they are an officially recognised body with growing numbers, not just because the issue coming in the aftermath of Res12 is that a game with no rules that are applied is not a game folk should be asked to pay to watch (which is what the Res12 guys pointed out in their Res11 statement in the AGM notice) not just that the Board are untrustworthy so no amount of talking to the same untrustworthy folk is likely to be effective, but also for the benefit of the CST. Their picking up the baton will show if they are serious about tackling the real issue of lost trust which is mentioned in the Celtic Star article which I hope everyone with an interest in Celtic treading an honest path in the future will read.
The hod carriers have delivered the bricks and are very grateful for the support and encouragement from E Tims over the years (Richie et al are invited to share the future pint) but if an honest house is to be built from the bricks , the CST, with the backing of a larger support, whether CST members or not with their existing buying power, rather than shares tomorrow, will be the fastest way to achieving what the CST want to have, the ability to present the feelings of supporters to a Board on a regular basis so that the clusterfupp that is the 5 Way Agreement, The Rangers “Get Out Of Jail Free with the Swag ” card can never ever happen again.
So watch out for Celtic’s response to questions posed by over 50 untrusting shareholders to the AGM, two of which samples can be read in the Celtic Star blog or from Phil MacGiolla Bhain’s blog already linked to yesterday and if it it is not sufficiently reassuring, watch for any follow up statement from the CST in terms of taking over ownership from the small band of brothers who have made Celtic accountable by finally doing what they should have done in 2013 and taken responsibility themselves to pursue with UEFA although we now know why they didn’t, it was not in The Company’s interest says Peter Lawwell. Well now it might well be.
