With Res 12 ( Res 11) at the AGM it suits the board for all the media attention to be elsewhere. So I won t be too surprised if this drags on for a while yet. Time to wake up to that Neil.
We are a mess( for whatever reason) and NL can’t fix it.

I don’t agree.

If they stick then I can only see the anger growing before the AGM.

Luckily for them, there will be no fans in attendance and even Q&As will be filtered through Bankier (not a misprint).

Whilst I agree with your general point, Cha, and Tyrone’s general point too, a ‘presence’ of (thousands) of supporters/shareholders with a tip off to the press outside Scotland would, IMHO, add some oxygen to a stifled truism: they DIED in 2012 and it needs to be screamed from the rooftops. I contacted the Boston Globe and NYT, asking them to investigate the cheating. I got no worthwhile response.
But I will NOT let this go, and arzeholes like PTL better get that into their heads……they may also think they can walk away painlessly “they may be correct, but I couldn’t possibly comment”
FC not PLC
PS I’m both a lifelong supporter of Celtic FC and a shareholder.
It was the much-unfairly-ridiculed “Charlie Saiz” who was propogating a Celtic FC owned (over 50%) by supporters that got me to buying shares. They’ll NEVER be traded but passed on (in my will) to the most appropriate Tim in my family with such a codicil.
Charlie S, I don’t like bullies and you’ve offered much on here (not always agreeable to me) and then been bullied off.
The ganging up and attacking guys is WRONG. Period.
I hope you see the infantile congregation, tell them to fukk off and return to commenting here.
OF COURSE, that’s just how I see things, but I’m not afraid of sticking my neck out.
Integrity and decency are not formed from ‘gangs’.
Good on you Pal, I don’t need to agree with what you say, but I’ll ever try to protect your RIGHT to say what you do.

Only the most optimistic fan would give Neil Francis a chance of being the Celtic manager at Christmas, so who replaces him. Strachan? Not sure I could stomach watching the sort of football he churned out in his first spell. O’Neill and Keane can someone tell me what they have done recently that would give you confidence they could turn it around?
I’d go for Eddie Howe.

But the players seem to be getting off lightly here:

Ntcham? Dear god where do you start? My cousin who played professionally (I didn’t) really rates him but I don’t see it. To be a top player you need to want to go out there and show how good you are every week. This guy reeks of can’t be ar$ed most weeks. He needs to go.

Christie? Maybe controversial but I don’t think he is playing for the team. He looks like a guy trying to compile a highlights reel of his best bits to get a move to the EPL. We should make it happen

Moi? Sorry not for me too many anonymous performances.

Brown? How many times did he give the ball away last night his mistake led to the first goal. In time he’ll be a legend at the club but it’s a mercy to take him out.

Laxalt? I know very controversial. Spoke to an Milan supporting colleague about him last week and he was delighted we had taken him. His verdict? He can’t defend. And I’m tending to agree. We as a team cannot stop crosses coming into our box. El Hamed is as guilty. How many crosses did Sparta throw into our box before they scored. It’s almost like their coach said just keep firing crosses in, you’ll score eventually. What do we actually practice at Lennoxtown, maybe a session or two on defending crosses wouldn’t hurt.

Turnbull and McGregor in the middle, Rogic further forward and Griffiths and Edouard up top. And for the love of god find a defensive formation that works.

henkesdreadlocks
Reply to  mcklintop

I wouldnโ€™t like to see that team without Christie at the moment. He seems to be the one few sources of energy in the team. Rogic has no interest in staying here. Griffiths? Heโ€™s has an ability, but he really gets an easy ride from an awful lot in our support. His behaviour, particularly this season when obviously still unfit at this stage of the season wouldnโ€™t be tolerated at any โ€˜bigโ€™ club.

Ntcham threaded a wonderful ball through to Eddy that should have led to the equaliser.

Not a lot for 90 mins but who contributed more? Certainly not McGregor, who does get an easy ride and was at fault for a couple of the goals.

I share the concerns about Laxalt’s defending but hopefully this is down to a dysfunctional midfield.

I’m personally not making too many final decisions on players as we’re in a position similar to before Rodgers, when most fans wanted rid of half the team.

A proper manager and 1 or 2 strategic signings and hey presto the same failures were Invincible.

IMO, Bankier, Lawwell and Lenny are idiots. Lawwell is being quiet simply as he is in enough hot water after his dawdling has cost us at least two King’s ransoms in the Champions League and now perhaps the 10. Lenny needs to grow a pair. Though Lenny has upset to many people already, but he may come to realise, that when the boards in the past messed up the club, Jock insisted things were done his way and this resulted in Celtic heaven. Surely Desmond is sick of cleaning up Lawwell’s mess and excuses as he is there to ensure Desmond can enjoy a working retirement. HH!

The Cha

Reply to  BornCelt!

Stein insisted on that as a non-negotiable condition of him taking the job.

Rodgers similarly demanded and got total control, at least for the first 2 years before Lawwell’s interference undone all the good work.

Lennon was unemployed and not in demand after failing in his last 2 appointments. He had nothing as a negotiating weapon other then to accept what Lawwell dictated otherwise he would’ve remained unemployed.

He was and is in a weak managerial position because of his record.

We need to appoint a strong manager, who will only come if given strong powers, rather than stick with a weak one, who can only accept what’s given to him.

What on earth do they do at Lennoxtown? Do they ever practice defending drills? it is embarrassing and amateurish. We tried zonal marking with WGS and that was heavily criticised, but to see the vast empty spaces at the heart of our defence, well it stinks of neglect. Remember how the defence and defenders took pride in keeping clean sheets, fist bumping to acknowledge a clearing tackle, all the defence working in tandem together. What happened to all of that? It is neglectful or unhappy players. They are not playing as a team, individuals playing for themselves.

What? You mean you didnโ€™t enter the half time competition last night?
It has been evident for over a year that the coaching has been non existent .
The players were in cruise control under the Rodgers regime, everyone knew their role, but the gradual erosion of his ways under Lennon has accelerated from the start of this season to the alarming clusterfvck weโ€™re witnessing now.

The board is treating us the way every board has treated us with the exception of one man, Fergus McCann. This board is treating us as fans. They take us for granted. They are treating us with contempt. We need to start acting the way Fergus treated us. He regarded us as CUSTOMERS, this is the only language this board understands. We need to stop those tills ringing up sales. It pains me to write this but this “club like no other” is a cynical ploy by the board to play on our love of the club. We are being manipulated, it has to stop.

“I don’t think it’s a major football issue. It’s more psychological than anything else”.

We’re 11 points behind the Huns and have become the whipping boys of Europe and it’s not a major football issue? Neil’s post match comments these days are almost Trumpesque in their detachment from reality. For God’s sake, Neil, go now and put yourself and us out of our misery.

P.S. I see Duncan’s posts have joined those of Charlie Saiz in the rubbish bin as ‘unfit for purpose’ …oops, those bloody pseudonyms again, you just can’t be sure that Duncan has really left the building.

The Cha

Reply to  R.St.Parsley

It’s the wildly contradictory nature of this comments:

Sparta (h) “that’ll never happen again” (a) “no reason we won’t improve, superb for 35 mins”

Ferencvaros throws players under the bus then after a few sklaffed wins “I’ve never questioned the players”

Sparta (h) “we need a deep culture change amongst the players”. Really deep meaningful change but wait, 3 days later after a good win at Motherwell “we had a mini-crisis but everything’s fine now”

He’s now banging on about how he’s got the backing of Lawwell and Desmond (nb no mention of the fans) and how they’re all united and on the same page, blah, blah.

Yeah, that’s why he picks his own backroom team. Oh, wait.

Whoever’s in charge of the team this weekend please pleae start with two strikers and four at the back. This is how we started 2020 and we was flying and now we keep persisting with the current system and expect things to change. That is Einstein’s definition of insanity.

The Cha

Reply to  Obz

To be fair, a few weeks at the start of this year has been about the only time that Griffiths has been fully fit in years.

There’s also been injuries/illnesses to Eddy, Ajeti and Klimala.

Having said that there’s been times when we could’ve and should’ve played 2 strikers but we’re more likely to play none as 2!

Obz

Reply to  The Cha

There is something profoundly wrong with our Sports Science department. Our Injury lists each season have been shocking and I cant understand how professional athletes, a quarter in to the season “are not quite up to speed”

The Cha
Reply to  Obz

Its not just that department as we, by and large, flog the same players all the time.

the upshot is that not only they get injured due to lack of rest, the replacements lack match fitness which causes injuries. Rinse and repeat.

It’s not rocket science, although perhaps we need such a department to put rockets up the arses of the others to see this clear and present danger.

When we signed Turnbull, I joked that although, for once, we’d signed a match fit player, we’d not play him so he’d lose that and ‘fit’ in with all the rest and hey presto.

Big Don Gazpachio

Reply to  Gareth Savage

Larsson offered his services to be Celtic striking coach at the start of the season and was knocked back, either by Lawwell or Lenny himself.

Heโ€™s now assistant manager at Barcelona while Mjallby is manager of FC Stockholm.

You really think Peter will pay the severance packages for those two plus Lenny even if he could persuade Henrik to give up the prestigious position of Barcelona assistant boss to come to CP and fix this shambles having already been KBโ€™d?

Besides, Lennyโ€™s just came out and told us that him & Peter & DD are โ€˜all unitedโ€™.

Which means the car crash is about to get a lot worse for all of us, not least Lenny.

The longer it goes on the more I reckon he really is their patsie to lose The Ten as part of the 5WA.

I doubt weโ€™ll even beat the Jambos in the SC Final, the last time I saw a Celtic this broke Wayne Biggins was in it.

The Cha

Yeah, Larsson ain’t leaving Barca for us and even if he would is this not the type of thinking that has got us in this mess viz “he’s a legend” (as a player), give him the manager’s job.

As far as I can see, he’s not been a success as a manager and that’s what we need, a successful manager not an unsuccessful or unproven manager, simply because he was a legendary player.

I’m also sick of all the BS about how you can’t get rid of Lennon because he’s such a legend and everything he’s been through.

None of that’s relevant to how he is doing as a manager and any non-legend would be long gone, which is correct.

No more ‘unsackable’ legendary ex-players just successful managers and if they’ve never heard of Celtic before I don’t give a damn.

Big Don Gazpachio

Reply to  The Cha

No doubt, Jimmy, and those calling for Larsson as Celtic manager seem to forget that he got his home club Helsingborg relegated for the frost time in their history, leading to himself and his own son eyeing attacked on the pitch by idiot โ€˜fansโ€™.

Henrik Larsson comes only second to Jinky in the greatest players Iโ€™ve seen wear the Hoops and Iโ€™d love it more than anything to have him win The Ten for us, or win anything for us, as manager but thatโ€™s just fantasy nonsense thatโ€™s never gonna happen.

Fact, I canโ€™t see anything good happen until Lawwellโ€™s gone, with Bankier, Kennedy, Strachan, Lenny & Desmond with him, much as it pains me to write that on Lennyโ€™s behalf alone.

Iโ€™ve been waking every day expecting to read that his nightmareโ€™s finally over but instead see the hole get deeper for all of us.

The toxic rot has set in at CP and even the so called ruthless billionaire has no idea how to stop the spread.

Just reading the comments by Sparta striker Julius, he described playing against Celtic like a training exercise and couldnโ€™t believe how easy it was in both games. That alone should make everyone at Celtic Park hang their head in shame.

Too many players want away, and we need more quality on the park but given the shocking track record on signing duds for years, who would trust the current regime with another penny in the transfer market?? They wouldnโ€™t know a good defender if one fell on top of them..

The writing has been on the wall since the first game of the season and Iโ€™ve described them as playing like a pub team on numerous occasions on this forum. Lennons, McGregors and Browns comments should kid no one, there are major problems at CP and if Lennon is still in the job when we go to Ibrox, he will be out of a job 5 minutes after the final whistle blows as I really fear our heaviest defeat ever against that mob

Steve M

Reply to  Andy

Did he really say that it was like a training exercise? How humiliating! I can’t believe the players and the manager can just shrug this off – if they were Japanese they’d all top themselves from shame. Not that I’m advocating that – but maybe they could donate their wages for December to the foundation to show some form of contrition.

Whilst i don’t have all the answers i do believe in meticulous planning & preperation.
With a record of qualifying for the CL twice in the last 10 years, a woeful record when you look at some of the sides who have knocked us out.
It is clear we are not prepared for CL qualifiers, this is unacceptable in every sense.
As a club we conduct our transfer business too slowly, look how long it took us to bring Duffy in.
To me it is shocking to see Celtic taking the field with players played out of position, players who are not ready & clearly at times with a few players who are not good enough.
We signed Barkas for around ยฃ5m, he was bought to be the first team keeper but he is not being played & the number 2 Bain is?
Bolingoli/Taylor are not good enough, Frimpong isn’t a RB & Ajer is not a central defender?
That leaves us with Elhamed & Jullien, Jullien is just back & Elhamed has had Covid.
Bitton is not a defender but is played there regularly?
Here’s an idea, sell Ajer, Taylor & Boli & sign a top central defender or two?
In midfield Forrest has been a big miss but let’s be honest James doesn’t do the business every week, we need strong competition for his position.
Brown is nearly done, Ntcham wants to go, McGregor is being asked to play too deep, Rogic can be good but usually unavailable, Turnbull needs to start getting chances to see him, Elyounoussi is 8/10 one week then 4 the next.
So far Peter we need two central defenders who can run fast, head, tackle & kick their own mother if our goal is threatened.
We need a high quality right winger ( Mobeg Karlsson)?
We need a central defensive midfielder so Brown can take a seat on the bench.
Up front Edouard wants to go, Griffiths should be told to go, Klimala not ready & Ajeti, even though we are almost at December is NOT fit yet?

Bit of a mess isn’t it Peter?

If rumours are true, our squad will be decimated with departures between now and next season, with the following players leaving:

Ajer – rumours wants to leave
Bitton – rumours wants to leave
Hendry – think has buy option on loan deal. Recent reports indicate Oostende will take it up
Bolingoli – for obvious reasons
Brown – retire or one last gig in an easier environment
Ntcham – rumours wants to leave
Christie – rumours wants to leave
Rogic – rumours wants to leave
Shved – hasn’t cut it so will probably be farmed out on loan again or released
Bayo – as per Shved
Eddy – rumours wants to leave. Last year of deal next year so we’ll sell if no new deal agreed.
Dembele – no new contract signed – rumours wants to leave.

Plus our loanees – Duffy, Moi, Laxalt – will leave.

That will mean we have the following squad for next season:

GK – Bain and Barkas;
Def – Frimpong; Taylor; Walsh; Julien; El Hamed;
Central Midfield – MacGregor; Turnbull; Soro; Henderson;
Wingers/wide attack – Forrest; Johnstone;
CF – Ajeti; Griffiths; Klimala.

Even then, it wouldn’t surprise me if MacGregor and Forrest (having tried for the 10) look to get a payday. And no-one is sure Julien will hang around, though he’s sticking up for Lennon now.

Given what we have now, and what we will have next season, I’d be inclined to play the following team for the rest of the year:

Barkas – we paid good money for him so should see if it is wasted money. We know enough about Bain to know he is not the long term answer;

El Hamed; Julien; Welsh; Taylor – they are all the defenders we’ll have next season, so let’s blood them.

Frimpong; MacGregor; Soro; Laxalt – Limited options on the right with Forrest injured and Johnstone unreliable. Having two full backs on the wings ought to make us more stable there and stop the crosses raining in.

Ajeti up front, supported by Griffiths or Klimala to provide movement and link up with the midfield.

The “wantaways” can come in to cover injury etc.

ยฃ100,000 Profit and only after they sold KT. for ยฃ24.00 million. No CL Qualifiers, lose around ยฃ30.00 million. Remember Bankier saying ‘ it is essential that Celtic get into the CL’, he said that regarding Delia, a criticism. Well it is essential that we do, the figures don’t lie. No CL Qualifiers, then players must be sold to fill in the income gap, only the best players we have, satisfy that income loss. So they must address that and they will, but that is all depending on a full house of Celtic supporters, if they lose them, then they are Donald Ducked.

Deary me, I seem to have touched a raw nerve there.

DDG works fine for me when I’m “bovvered” as you would say Vicki.

You started off ranting against Sturgeon and then switched to Swinney that made no sense.

BTW If you think ‘wasting’ ยฃ600k is bad, you’re positively going to shit yourself when you see Scotland’s share of the tens of billions that Bojo and his Gallant Brexiteers have spent down here.

As I’m not a supporter of the SNP, why should I share their concerns?

You’ve got me baffled there and not for the first time.

I’m just trying to follow your tortured logic.

First it was Sturgeon in bovver over ‘legal advice’ but now its Swinney that’s facing a VONC, which seems a tad unfair.

You were all hot and bovvered that its cost ยฃ600k but are not the slightest bovvered that the UK Gov will cost Scotland 10 times that much.

It’s a surprise that logic hasn’t won over the Scottish people to the yooni cause.

Bring back Duffy as the centre back let him play with Jullien.
Bring back Taylor as a kept back and El Hamed as a right back and work with them. Though shall not pass.
Midfield put Ajer in there instead of Brown the dynamics would change.
Ntcham Ajer Mcgregor
Play Frimpong and Laxalt as the wide players with eddy up top.

Get back to defending first and foremost the goals will come.

Dermot best set aside a good chunk of his wealth, as the empty stadiums heโ€™s seen this season will be the new norm when things get back to normal. The goodwill they received this year with season book sales, wonโ€™t be so easily achieved. They are treating the support with contempt. Our football operations and by that I mean the calibre of manager and coaching staff are that of a lower league club and as far as Iโ€™m led to believe the medical and sports science team leave a lot to be desired. Some amount of delusion on here recently: thinking we can get Howe; get Larsson to leave Barca; offer it to Pochettino ffs. What planet are yous on? We’re not going to get a manager like Rodgers again for a long time – that was a once in a blue moon situation. It worked for him and it worked for us at that time and it gave us a glimpse of what a modern coach does. We need to pick up a coach like Rodgers on their way up or produce our own, but that’s hard. That was the idea with Deila and they got it badly wrong. Look at Rodgers at Reading – lasted 6 months despite what he’d go on to do. There’s no one who’ll want to take this job the now, and that’s the problem. Despite all his mistakes, I’d be amazed if Lawwell wasn’t looking for someone – he’s not a complete idiot. The fact that Lennon’s still there means they can’t get someone to take it on, and I’m not surprised.

No one good will want it, and no one who wants it will be good.

Probably the only credible candidate that we could get just now would be MacKay because he’s got nothing to lose, and that would reputational cancer for the club.

I’d give it to Kennedy because I don’t think that we’ll be able to get better than that this season, and he can’t be any worse. I don’t think it’ll be enough, and it might not even get better, but I reckon that it’s the best we can do at the moment.

Joe

Reply to  bgbhoy

Fine, I’d take that. Anything to stop this expectation that we’re going to go out and get a top level coach midway through a season that’s a slow motion car crash and likely leading to losing what would have been the biggest club achievement in decades.

On your Kennedy point, the fact that Rodgers wanted to take him to Leicester and that multiple clubs here have wanted to speak to him about managerial jobs provides a counterpoint, but I’m not really interested in that argument tbh. Maybe he’s gash, I’ve no idea.

you’ll remember the ICT semi final under deila that we lost? james forrest was running riot, won the free kick that virgil scored from and generally having one of his better games

gotdon gets sent off, deila turns to kennedy to see what they do. kennedy tells deila to get james off (the best player on the park that day)

a bemused james comes off and asks why he was being taken off, to which kennedy replies (becuase you cant fuking defend) we proceed to lose the game

Pound to a penny, you ridiculed Rodgers as a potential Celtic manager.

I wouldn’t want Howe myself, as he’s unproven outside of Bournemouth (failed at big club Burnley) but as he’s unemployed and clubs don’t appear to be beating a path to his door, we’d certainly be able to make a credible bid to appoint him.

Deila was to be Lennon’s assistant but then he was bumped up, big mistake.

“No one will take the job”. This is such guff and is always trotted out, such as “poisoned chalice”, “no one will work there” etc.

If the money is good enough etc then the chance to manage in the CL, unavailable at most clubs, is attractive, even if only to polish a CV before moving on to “better” things.

Lawwell should have been prepared for both Rodgers leaving and the permanent manager position. Clearly he wasn’t and to him ‘succession planning’ simply refers to picking up his next over-remunerated pay cheque.

I wonder what multiple clubs have wanted to speak to Kennedy. He applied for Dundee United, now managed by Micky Mellon (who?).

I’m sure if Rodgers “wanted” him, it was only to stop him looking bad, as he’d taken all of the other coaches.

Joe

Cool. Where are they then? I don’t like the current board at the club, but the worst mistake you can make is thinking that they’re completely stupid. Arrogant? Yes. Don’t care about the fans? Definitely. But not stupid.

They’ll have been looking for people for at least a wee while, and they’re still backing Lennon. The only reasonable explanation for that is that they can’t find someone good enough to take over. Otherwise you’re looking at blind loyalty, sentimentality or conspiracy, none of which I buy.

Mike
Reply to  Joe

If they have been looking for people for a wee while, then they havn’t been looking hard enough, that’s where the arrogance comes in. Simple arithmetic, spend on a quality manager and get into the C.L. Qualifiers for the bigger reward. Our income includes an emotionally invested support, its reliant on the support backing the club with its cash, take them for granted at your peril. If they don’t care about the fans, then they really are stupid. The small supporter shareholders do not have enough shares to make much of a difference, they still have rights, but if the support becomes disillusioned enough to stop supporting the club in numbers, then they will soon appoint a better manager pdq. Empty stands Delia?

Joe

Mike

Of course I think they are looking, but one that Lawwell can control, unlike Rodgers whom he could’nt. Lawwell will always looks to the cheap option like Deila, he was a disaster and Lennon is Delia-esque. If it was’nt for Covid, the stands would be emptying now. Go for a more modern manager, get into the CL Qualifiers and keep the support happy and the money keeps coming in.

BroxburnBhoy

Depending on the money and control DD is willing to spend and give, Celtic could target any one of a group of very good modern coaches. The money is there and we do have European potential 60000 every home game etc. and more or less guaranteed European football every year. Letโ€™s be bold and finance a top management team signing. Rodgers despite his personal traits is a very good modern manager there are more Rodgers out there.

Jocsoc

It’s almost an indisputable fact that at the end of the season in any league at any level, that the team that concedes the fewest goals becomes champions. We effectively play with two defenders as our two wing backs don’t seem to realise that their primary task is to defend. Only when the occasional opportunity presents itself should they vacate their posts. These forays are more difficult for opponents to deal with as they are outwith the established pattern of play. The number of times our two fullbacks had to try and sprint back into their designated positions led to our downfall. Midfielders had to try and cover, which a) they’re not good at, and b) it takes them away from their jobs and upsets the balance of the team.
We won’t shake off this malaise until we get back to the basics of a high level of fitness and organisation. This last observation also applies to the board.

We don’t really mind corruption in Scottish football so long as we’re winning.
Peter lawell has been at it for a long time, but his gambles just about paid off.
If celtic blow 10 in a row it’ll be unforgivable but we’ll deserve it. It should have been made clear by everyone in celtic that the huns were a new club but no too busy gorging on jelly and ice cream.
Resolution 12 didn’t matter when we were doing trebles. This day was always coming but you have to do whats right at the time no matter how hard. When you’re right you stand firm. When you have truth on your side you don’t back down.
I still think we’ll do it though celtic will come good and the huns will buckle and lawell will ride off into the sunset a hero with a huge pension.
55 will come eventually and that’s what the records will show. No liquidation or starting a new club in the bottom tier, just an unjust demotion after some undeserved financial difficulties.
Never mind maybe we’ll get our freedom passes soon so we can all cheer on the pantomime.
There are none so hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

Hereโ€™s the full quote from DD in The Athletic Iโ€™ve mentioned this week.

He calls him โ€˜a work in progressโ€™ and not a โ€˜projectโ€™ but I still think heโ€™s referring to โ€˜tamingโ€™ Lenny into the boardโ€™s way of thinking.

Which is selling The Ten to get his baws scratched further down the line.

(With thanks to Chairbhoy from the Sentinels site):

โ€™on NL replacing BR] โ€“โ€œLenny was always on our radar. Lenny has been a work in progress for us. Heโ€™s been that person we have kind-of tutored and heโ€™s learned along the way. The advice we gave him heโ€™s now realised was good advice, and heโ€™s matured and everybodyโ€™s allowed to make mistakes. None of them were fatal.
โ€œSo we took him back in even though some of the fans thought it was a retrograde step. But you learn more from mistakes, it can change your personality, your modus operandi. We saw that with Lenny and he has repaid our belief in him.โ€

There is a man down Ibrox way I’d like you all to know
He’s just received the latest unpaid tax bill for Sevco
When the Peepul heard of it they came from far and wide
And when they saw the size of it this is what they cried:

“Oh, that’s a stottir!”
“We’ve never seen wan as big as that afore”
“Oh, that’s a stottir!”
“It must be two feet long or even more”
“The ink’s the deepest shade o’ red, when folded up it’s fat”
“We’ve never seen an unpaid tax bill quite as big as that”
“Oh, that’s a stottir!”
“We’ve never seen wan as big as that afore”.

He was standing outside Ibrox park just the other day
And beckoned to a young hunette who chanced to pass his way
He reached into his trousers and brought it out with pride
And when she saw it in his hand she turned bright red and sighed:

“Oh, that’s a stottir!”
“Ah’ve never seen wan as big as that afore”
“Oh, that’s a stottir!”
“It must be two feet long or even more”
“The colour’s sort o’ reddish pink, it’s nice and thick and fat”

That’s why it hurts so much to want him to go, this is ripping me to bits!

We got fed up searching for something worth watching on TV, Netflix et cetera ages ago, and hence looked to our own collection. It turns out that “Goblin’s Not Only a Noun” is explicit in its ‘educational’ explanation, that ‘verbs’ can be far more entertaining than ‘nouns’.
Went straight over my napper of course but I did ‘feel’ that ‘her indoors’ should have her false teeth adjusted in case she ends up choking on part of a ‘sausage’.
I’m kinda ‘off’ Celtic FC just now (as well as my trolley)…..TBPH, they need to earn my support and respect again.

See, see when there’s little or nothing to watch on terrestrial TV (mostly), we go to various options like Netflix.
My wife is intelligent, tough and discerning (relatives in the Mafia (North), and apart from an old love of ‘soaps’ which I kicked out of her, she’s super-cool and super-hotl
Anyway, the point is this. We watched a very watchable series of “The Crown” (Clare Foy?) as the Queen, et cetera. So, when the latest version was available I thought “okay, she likes it I’m okay with that.” The latest thing is fukking mince from start, but I got FACT I’d never known before, and before binning it I gleaned this: Thatcher was HUMILIATED at Balmoral (had to pack and run away), that’s kinda perfect to me, but it gets better. Around the same time there was the victory at the Narrow Water when the PIRA nailed 18 and put a slightly larger number in ICUs. And then, (possibly) the last words of Louis Mountbatten, “I’m just blown away out here!………” 27th August 1979
Of course, my all time favourite is “we only need to be ‘lucky’ once”.

Fitba, ah, the fitba. Today must be 4-4-2 in order to give defenders breathing space to defend and attackers breathing space NOT to defend.
Barkas
Elhamed/Ajer/Jullien/Taylor
Christie/Turnbull/Soro/Laxalt
Edouard/Griffiths
Soro/Turnbull/Ajeti/Klimala/Elyounoussi all to figure. No predictions but let’s keep a clean sheet whilst running riot. We need two strikers up front, that way Eddie will get some service and freedom to move. C’mon The Celtic.

We all can see Broonyโ€™s legs have gone, he was floored several times agin Sparta when before he would have been solid, if I were told fringe players agin, AC, I would be even more pished, no Dembele, which means instead of an excited player signing on for a couple more seasons, heโ€™ll be off for peanuts. Just no bravery here from Lenny. He just does not realise he has no the nouse to take it forwards. Lost it IMO. HH!

With respect, I think Lenny is in one. A brave manager does no have his players who respect him slipping off to Spain for a day and leaving good talent going to waste while his favourites plod on through game after game. Would you do that to a boss you had a bit of fear of? He has lost it and better get that mean streak back or even Lawwell wil have to come out of hiding to go with the many we are on the end of. HH!

Poor, pathetic, bottle merchant of a manager, this is Ross County, not exactly a super team. But so far this is diabolical.

You’re right.

He’s gone from “I can fix this” to “Desmond and Peter back me, so it doesn’t matter what you the fans think”.

Back by unpopular demand itโ€™s theHalf time Word Jumble Competition

Yes folks, just complete the sentence to win a chance to knock sense into all the members (members as in cocks) on the Celtic Board using a nail encrusted baseball bat.

Missed the first half due to the Celticfc website updating to use my local time instead of always using Celtic Park time.
