Celtic Diary Saturday December 17: Thats Me Done

This might not work.

On the way to the ground today I had a wee chat with some mates who had a wee meet with the powers that be at Celtic.

You’ll know who mean.

I decided not to bother with the game today, around two hours before kick off. Instead, I found a bar by the Cross and had myself a quiet beer.

I’ll head back to Central in time for my train home.

After all, I like to think that the wee feeling I get when I walk into Celtic Park is at least reciprocated by one or two of its current custodians.

Seems I was wrong. They don’t give a flying fuck. Especially now we have a team that’s winning.

But then again, is there any pride in winning a league that was rigged from Day One?

I’ll be spending my money on something else from now on. Maybe toplass horse racing, or the world one legged man arse kicking contest.

In fact, anywhere where there’s a fairly even chance that the best man will win.

Which, I am now convinced, will never be Scottish Football.

Like the gullibilies who follow whichever team they think they’re following, there will be those who say come on lad it’s the guys on the pitch we follow..and so on.

Not me. ย I’m done.

Tell you about it Monday

It comes as no suprise to me that our Board seem reluctant to pursue this Resolution.
It has been my belief our main men were complicit in what transpired.
They had to be consulted after all as the left buttock of the old firm arse.
I shall wait till Monday of course to find out the facts but I personally believe this was never going to end well or quietly for that matter.
These cunts haven’t invested the same emotions as the support no matter how much shite they talk about being Supporters.
Supporters don’t invest time in Celtic for financial gain.
These guys do.
I haven’t for a long time but I feel for those who have and do.
All of you with no exceptions.

Sorry to hear this Ralph, but I know where you are coming from. I haven’t been to a Tic game since the semi with caley cheating thistle.
The board of wankers at Celtic Park are not fit to run this great club and I won’t even start about the Kelly’s.

Celtic first and Celtic last and Celtic overall!

Looking forward to what you have to reveal on Monday Ralph, but for now it’s all about another victory on the pitch today.

Like i have said all along the only place to beat our enemies is on the pitch…..sadly that is how it is!

Are you surprised Ralph, no I know you’re not. I realised this was going to be the outcome and it’s the reason I will not step foot back in Celtic Park. The game in this country is truly fucked.

As I am a little thick I haven’t a clue what this is all about. Wish you had explained today as it sounds serious. I never feel comfortable knowing who we have in charge of the club? They will do anything to maintain the status quo in Scotland. But I am intrigued by what would make you turn around and not go to the game.

If that’s all you think of Celtic and its fans, to crumple at the 1st sight of adversity from the well-known tactics of tory-led boards, I say again, FUCK OFF.
I WILL, stand up, be counted and then do my duty as a life-long Celtic fan; my duty will be to remove, on a permanent basis, the conservative, tory scum who operate our club today.

Ralph, I know that feeling mate and I struggle with football as a spectator sport these days. From FIFA,Uefa and SFA to EPL it has totally lost its integrity. as a 10 year kid I would have goals disallowed because the referee was friends of the opposing team and it made me determined to score more and more. My team manager when refereeing would add time on at the end of a game so we could equalise or win. This all disappointed me and still does and was a reason I stopped playing in my late teens. I went to games with mates for beers and camaraderie and that’s the best bit. I love kicking a ball with my 6 year old lad and it’s the best feeling. Kris commons going out without a send off in front of the fans tells you all about Celtic FC. I have a deep down attachment to Celtic which I can’t explain. This week my lad asked me if I ever cried and my wife recounted the only time she knows of was when I cried at Larsson’s testimonial at CP. YNWA brings watery eyes and lumpy throat. The board doesn’t do that however being part of a collection of like-minded decent people, of which you are one does. Don’t cut off that feeling and stay in touch, it’s what makes Celtic fans special. Kind to each other and proud of our decent ways. Let’s just focus positively on continually nurturing that inclusive spirit and enjoy each others company and that Celtic feeling when we watch them play. Take care

Phew! Surely not Ralph? I know these things can be very frustrating and it feels like you’re banging your head against a brick wall, but ask yourself if giving up will acheive anything, or make you feel any better about it and I’m sure the answer’s no. I’m not underestimating the depth of feeling and respect your integrity on making a stand, but don’t let the bastards get you down

Game over and 2-1 to Celtic. Well, Celtic at the moment play two teams…one is their opponent, and the other is themselves. Again a nervy finish to a game that we should have won easily. What is the problem? Two things…a) we do not make enough clean chances, b) we do not score as often as we should when we get a chance.

Each week seems to be the same. We face a massed defence and play into the opponent’s hands by moving the ball too slowly. GMS was a fine example of that today. He receives a pass with his back to goal, and then simply hits it back to the source. Armstrong is one of the few who drives into the box. First half, too many high balls into the penalty area which does not suit Grif but suits Dundee.

Again a one goal win, when we should have destroyed a very poor Dundee team…especially first half.

Positives: Gamboa was my MOTM. Christie can see a forward pass. Sinclair is back. Armstrong is an asset, Grif scored again.

I hope Christie succeeds but he will need to increase the physical aspect of his game. He is too easily brushed aside.

Teams are clearly scared by us, but if we are looking for improvement in our European performances, I see little sign of that.

Seasons greetings,
Rebus

Charlie S, let’s remove the pedantics and strive to go forward here.
With every ‘kick’ the Celtic board can deliver, we can deliver a million back.
Let’s unite and go for the million and get the board TF. Permanently.
A helluva lot on here agree in principle but may be swayed, one way or other, by pedantics and/or language.
Unification is the word we need to keep uppermost in our minds. Oh, and CELTIC too.
BTW, Charlie S, I still hold a few Celtic shares; nothing much on their own but substantial if aggregated with like-minded Tims. I bought them in solidarity with your initiative towards Fan ownership a while ago.

PS I got ‘hammered’ again last night; sometimes my feelings don’t transfer too well into text. However, with every day I wake, I thank my family for introducing me to Celtic.

I was absolutely sickened when Kenny Dalgleish was sold to Liverpool in 1977, and sold he was.
They (Kellys/Whites board) invited an offer and Kenny went South for ยฃ440,000 worth of tory bastard’s double-dealing standards (it was ‘outed’ in the press that Kenny asked for the transfer). Bullshit. Today is not new; it is, however, a new day. Charlie saiz has been on about it for years, as have I. It’s FAN-OWNERSHIP or bust.

Yep Vinnie it is the only our Support will be treated and respected the way it deserves.
Running a Club is not rocket science for years we have been saying a bit of investment in some QUALITY in key areas could make our side COMPETITIVE in Europe
A bit of Investment without the risk of going tits up is all it took and the difference it has made has been light and day on the park.
Off it the books are now swelled with cash from CL.
The sale of Dembele when it comes will swell it further.
We keep to this strategy a trained monkey could run Celtic.
We have no end of expertise within our own Fnabase guys with genuine business acumen that would no doubt come in and run the Club at a FRACTION of the cost these men in suits do.
The last time the Support made a call to arms there was no Internet,no means of instant access to information.
We have the number all we need is a will to do it.
Most of these guys on the Board are heading for retirement age they might just take a wee shove and do the right thing?
If not be prepared for further disappointment and let downs bhoys and ghirls plus more of the same old PLC shite.

Charlie S, I’ve lost the function whereby comments immediately come into my ‘inbox’. It’s therefore more than difficult to attempt ‘conversation’.
All that matters here is Celtic FC and Ralph.
WHEN A TIM LIKE RALPH IS IN NEED, WE SUPPORT HIM.
The ‘Celtic Way’ off London Road is beautiful, but it’s another of PLs pretences; Ralph is not.
Ralph, it would take me 2 or 3 hours to get to your ‘neck of the woods’; I’d gladly do that and hopefully support you, in that special way that you’ve supported us and our beloved Celtic.

Ralph, assuming that your reaction is because of Res 12 getting totally blanked by the “board”, there were many many guys on here predicting that that would be the “boards” answer so it doesn’t come as a shock to us, It doesn’t make it any more palatable, but you had the feeling that they were playing for time hoping that the fans would forget, get fed up and give up about it, If the “board” had ever had the slightest intention of taking up the Res 12 cause they would have done so immediately….but they body swerved with their carefully worded statements that pretended that something was being done.
They’ve made it clear that they, the “board” want/need the boat to remain un-rocked. They give me the impression that they wouldnae care if Celtic won no trophies for the next 10 years, just as long as the club made a profit and they kept their positions and bonuses. They don’t give a rat’s fart about the fans, only about the money. It’s just another example that there are only two kinds of people in the world…the working class and them that use us. Colour, religion, nationality, politics are just the clever tools they use to keep us distracted from the rich getting richer off the sweat of our backs and our sacrifices.
So cheer up Ralph, don’t let the bassas get you down. They will be gone and forgotten, but the fans and the team will go on undaunted…WE are Celtic. HH

OOPS! almost forgot the game views. Well, okay, it wisnae perfect today. BUT WE WON. (They’ll be jumpin’ oot a windaes…)
However, we showed some real class. Big Nir Bitton casually orchestrated everything; he’s just incredibly cool and then he slots our 2nd goal. Gamboa is electrically paced, works his socks off and is a tremendous asset. I saw, warming up around the half hour mark, Moussa Dembele, Paddy and Scott Sinclair.
Well, fuck me, is that not unbelievable progress, despite the fucking bean-counter? Again, from here to eternity, FUCK YOU PETER LAWWELL and all those who sail with you………..
Do you ‘lodge’ with another tit-bearing bastard, the bastard Madden who tried to cheat us today? NO MATTER.
YOU’LL BOTH BE GONE: YOUR MASONRY IS KNOWN.
So, Peter, just for posterity, ‘How old IS yer grannie?’
HaHaHaHaHaha, what a cunt.

Well, heated driveways I have one,
But I am not the ‘special one’
Mourinho’s got a name I crave,
He’ll take it to his early grave,
But I will seek to climb a spire,
And do it till my hearts desire,
Becomes a fucking pig in mire,
Just about the same, as being a hun.

It’s gone ‘that time’, I’ll have to go,
May have to put on, a special show,
To disguise my going then,
A magic shadow show.
I met wee Matt when I was young,
He made me laugh and how he sung,
A Calton man, a Tim, a laugh,
They’re few could lace his shoes.
The above was my hopeless introductin to a Real Glesga Man, Matt McGinn fae The Calton. My introduction would be sung as the ‘wee man’ did on tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWvhJ1Sv4n4

Minor points, as addendum to my earlier posts. Of course, few people care about the circumstances of their fellow men.
I find that strange, but learned to live with it. I will still go to the aid of anyone in need, regardless of colour, race or creed/no creed. Helping someone is not a trial nor a tribulation: it’s a privilege.
I’d much rather help a fellow being than receive a gift of which I’ve neither desire nor need. I gracefully accept gifts in order that I don’t insult the giver.
Well, it doesn’t half help the Homeless; Homelessness being a disgraceful blot on the UK landscape, and one which needs addressing soon. Oh, fuck! I give up.

Very sorry to read the above post but if it is about the board doing the square root of bugger all on RES12 it comes as no great surprise. It is ironic that if the team were having a poorish season the board would be more likely to act on RES12 to keep the fans quiet. If as I suspect the board have calculated that they can ignore RES12 as the feelgood factor about the team will cover them I fear they fail to understand what the cub stands for and should take a long hard look at themselves. From the outside it looks like most of the board are just the usual bunch of self serving bastards and it will be interesting to see how they behave in the next transfer window.

JohnJames is a very special individual, Monti.
Like Ralph on here, JJ speaks the Truth. No spin, no shit, just truth. (he’s also educated, funny and warm) If your fingers are so far gone as to denounce someone without giving them a fair hearing then I’m genuinely surprised. Nae, Monti, shocked. You’re a guy with strong views, as am I. But to ignore decency from someone and just label him a ‘hun’ is not how I see things. Each to his own, of course.

Monti ,

he’s not a Tim like us ; BUT he “gives it ” to THEM every bit as hard as Phil Mac does.
Log on and read some of his previous stuff : he will not let up on their “roof” issue . THEY hate him .(Also tore into a former captain of the club once known as Rangers ; now consigned to history).
Worth a read!
