Bandido’s Bets

Crash, bang, wallop. No, it’s not Charlie Green’s massive ego smashing everything within 50 yards of him as he tells Zombie nation his great ideas for Sevco before ripping every possible penny from them. Instead, back by massive popular demand (thanks Ma) it’s the return of the completely pish Bandido’s Bets!

It’s been a long time coming so long in fact our last win returned three shillings and a half crown and Cliff Richard was number five in the charts with Like a Virgin.

Without further ado here’s this weekends selections.

Hibs have been surprisingly surprising. After an opening day drubbing at Tannadice it looked like a very long season but they’ve responded far better than anyone expected and currently sit second in the table. Inverness invariably is a tough proposition but Hibs look way overpriced at 11/10. Brighton and Wolves have both hit good form recently and at 6/4 and Evens respectively look well positioned to earn away day victories at Millwall and Peterborough. Add blistering hot Partick Thistle to the mix to provide a 13/1 accumulator.

The second line also has four teams. Dundee Utd have gone backwards after a 3-1 reversal at Rugby Park a few weeks back and struggled to two 0-0 draws against St Johnstone and Ross County. They host Hearts today who have been really disappointing this season. With Webster injured Hearts look up against it so take the Arabs at Evens to see them off. Derby have a very strong home record and look well priced at 23/20 to defeat Burnley who have lost 5 of their last 6 games. Add hot Dunfermline to beat Livingston and Falkirk to win against Airdrie to provide a 10/1 accumulator.

BONKERS BET:

Derby, Dundee Utd, Hibs, Dunfermline, Falkirk, Brighton, Wolves, Clyde, Aston Villa. Perm any 8 from 9 and all 9 bets. This is a BONKERS bet but a £1 bet would return £800!

As is my wont, Hector, I will close my eyes and stick my pin in at random. It never wins but then I never lose because I never put any money on it. I find that is the best bet of all and in the long run is the only one to give 100% success. Besides, I am a miserable git! :>)
