Celtic Diary Tuesday December 2; Neil McCann To Be New Coach.

Lets offer him a job, and see him do another about turn where his opinions are concerned.

McCanns outbursts on Sky sports were made to look as ludicrous as they sounded when SFA compliance officer Terry McGlennan,  who replaced Vincent Lunny as soon as common sense prevailed at Hampden, looked at the Guidetti Incident during the Hearts game, and said there was nothing in it.

Wait for the outcry when those from the darkside who can read out loud realise it rhymes with Lennon

Guidetti , of course, had always denied that he was looking for a penalty.

The Record led with this impartial headline;

Celtic’s John Guidetti looks set to avoid

SFA probe over controversial Tynecastle

penalty incident during Scottish Cup win against Hearts

The Scotsman added;

The on-loan Manchester City striker went down in the area despite there being no contact made on him by a sliding challenge from Hearts defender Brad McKay.

Referee Willie Collum immediately pointed to the spot and Guidetti got up to convert the penalty for Celtic’s second goal against a Hearts side earlier reduced to ten men by a straight red card for Morgaro Gomis

 Is it just me, or is there an implication  that the Swede has “got away with it ” ?

Perhaps its time for Celtic to call McCann to account for his all to frequent slurs on the club and its players. After all, he’s the assistant coach of Dunfermline, and although he may deny he’s speaking as the coach when he goes on his spiteful tv rants, we can use the old looks like a duck adage to dismiss whatever excuse he uses as to which hat he’s actually talking through.

I’m sure if say, a Celtic player called Dunfermline cheats, then he’d be in bother.

At the very least, McCann  should be forced to apologise and be banned from Celtic Park. And then given a good rub down with sandpaper.

Anyway, join me in a search for this headline, or something similar, which may actually prove impossible.

Incompetent refereeing again by Willie “clueless clown ” Collum leads to wholesale restructuring of SFA training.

You’ll notice I called him a clown. I was using a bit of alliteration for comic effect, and couldn’t think of another word beginning with “c” that would have fitted in.

Oh, wait. I think I can.

The draw for the Scottish Cup fifth round was made yesterday, and Celtic will travel to Dens Park in yet another tricky away game. Willie collum will be the referee, because he’s actually refereed our last four games in the competition, and he’s doing so well theres no need to change him, for , say, someone who actually has a basic knowledge of the laws of the game, and how to implement them.

New Glasgow rivals, and cup specialists Second Rangers drew a home tie against Raith Rovers, giving old pal turnbull Hutton another chance to end their dreams of a trophy.

Actually, when news of the draw reached the dark side, they gave a hint as to why they may have got themselves into a bit of trouble financially;

Embedded image permalink Oops. but it does explain a lot.

With revelations yesterday that the Ibrox club receives a mere 7.5 pence in the pound on merchandising, and subsequent calls for a boycott of Sports Direct, thats when they aren’t asking owner Mike ashley for a few quid up front to pay the bills, that is, the Rangers supporters Trust-hah, the most inappropriate and inaccurate use of the word trust since I asked Michael Jackson to babysit- have spotted a gap in the market;

LionPic1a

The lion brand.

I think they may have spelt  ” lying ” wrong.

The Lion Shirt.

The Lion and Rangers are entwined – a symbol of the never say die spirit which characterises the club from it’s earliest days.

Just because they never say die doesn’t mean they aren’t dead.

In recent years the tenacious devotion of fans to the club has shown forth through some dark days.

Quite possibly the least accurate sentence ever written. Anywhere. Ever.

The Lion now symbolises the spirit of determination which saved the club and which now wants to secure its future through democratic fans control of a large shareholding.

Yeah. He must have confused ” Lion ” with “lying “

 Its obviously not just the clubs owners who want to fleece the fans.

Why buy the shirt?

The last two years have shown us that control of the shares in the Club is vital if we want a club we can be proud of and protect it from the vultures who have wasted so much money and caused so much concern.

We aim to raise funds which will either buy shares on the open market or support a new share issue. All surplus funds we raise will go to that aim. The surplus will go to the Rangers Supporters Trust and they have committed to spend the money from the shirt sales purely on shares which will be under democratic control according to their Rules and Constitution.

Rangers fans can rely on no-one but ourselves to safeguard our great club.

z-has-bolted

The Celtic fans forum, a new concept set up to encourage dialogue between the club and supporters, met back in November, and the minutes have been published online by Lostbhoys.

 Forum meeting

 You’ll notice that Etims didn’t attend, and offered apologies. Thats because I’d heard Ronny Deila was waiting for me in the car park with a big stick that had a nail in it. Courtesy of the lass who works at Cheltenham;

Og jeg hører at fett skallet drittsekk fra Etims kommer, så jeg kommer til å gi ham en ørefik , og en god gni ned med sandpapir .

 And some sandpaper.

 Its worth a read, and if there is anything you’d like us to raise at the next meeting, feel free to mention it. They do have a part to play, and the club does deserve some credit for listening to the support.

Even if its idiots like me.

Away from football for a minute or two,  and its been revealed that Prince Harry, the ginger royal , has confessed that his biggest fear is public speaking.

Really ?

harrys real fear

 I should have thought there’d be one or two other things concerning him.

Caption competition time again, and from the Clumpany on twitter, we have this picture of Mike Ashley is discussing something…

Nike will make branded gear for any club as will most manufacturers. I was secretery for my sunday team for a while, the kits are usually under £10 each but the main cost is getting the sponsor/numbers/badge printed on (getting a stitched on badge is bloody dear) and you have to buy eg min 16 kits. We got ours, logoless, from JJB for about £4 each, Adidas, Nike, etc, was about £8-£9 but that was about 10 years ago.

As for selling them on for profit, pretending their for a club that has a deal with a rival?

What was THE pivotal thing, or what masterful course of action or strategy was it the hun fans did that ‘saved’ the club?

Cheerlead Murray’s dodgy financial management… that didn’t save them.

Cheerleading Whyte without checking out his billionaire credentials… nope…

Subsequently scapegoating Whyte upon administration?…ehm….

Was it chasing the American Bill Millar, because he wanted to run it like a proper business, within it’s means, making it’s own profit that he would take a share of for his troubles? …. no chance, Sugar daddies only need apply… and they surely must be queuing up…

After liquidation was it when they initially – and correctly – tried to also chase Charles Green then perform an almighty u-turn once a ball was kicked and suddenly not a bad word could be said about him, meanwhile he’s carving up the club and dishing out contracts like sweeties to his pals (not forgetting to keep Sally on his side), spouting racist comments and THAT Christmas message! Oh come on, that Christmas message was the clearest sign of all the clear signs…! No…?

Was it the ‘dignified’ howls for manipulation of the rules to allow them into the top tier, or if not the second tier after the SFA rode roughshod over all written rules and obliterated the spirit of the rules and any integrity to allow the ‘associate’ membership (now a defunct status) allowing them back into the senior leagues at all despite having NO trading history, despite the original club still in process of liquidation but at the time still in existence therefor there were 2 entities, despite the football debts to other member clubs plus to clubs of other UEFA associations, plus to commercial business and banks totalling millions PLUS 2 tax cases against them…etc, ETC… the ‘fans’ claiming 1. The SFA shouldn’t have let Whyte in, 2. The SFA, despite the above bending / breaking the rules and threatening Armaggedon …. The SFA had it in for them? Claiming they’ve been ‘punished’ (yet to see amy punitive measures).

Is it when the law of the land in addition to the football authorities allowed an unprecedented use of similarities between a liquidated entity and new entity (name, premises, branding, logo, industry/market, etc) – couldn’t have been that as the fans had direct involvement (only indirectly, civil unrest, etc)

Was it even how they ignored a man i’ve never had any love for John Brown but at least showed he cared like a true fan and got on the steps at the front door and warned these ‘fans’of action about Charles Green and his spivs? Apart from anything else Green admitted he lied when he said he didn’t know Whyte and bizzarely claim he conned Whyte into handing over the stadium keys! What a guy.

Was it the way they sent death threats to members of a football panel, other clubs board members, anyone who they saw as not showing their twisted idea of ‘respect’ they felt they deserved (despite all the above)?

Am i close yet…?

How about now when are once again cheerleading a yet another dodgy character, a convicted tax fraudster no less who bought his way out his sentence and was described as a’ glib and shameless liar’?

How about them boycotting the guy who’s just lent them 3m to keep the lights on and the doors open?

Is it when they set up fans groups to use the money to buy ‘shares’which aren’t even in the club/’company’

Come on, help me out here….

Maybe it was tenuous red n black scarves that ‘saved’ ‘rangers’. Maybe these wee blue shirts with their lion on it (anyone seen the ‘Ready’ logo anywhere? Anyone?)

Right, that’s iti give up – you tell me then.

The questions I’d like answered is. Why didn’t the club take the LNS decision, that seen us lose out on 5 titles and numerous cups, which would have made us ‘the most successful club in the world’ to the court of arbitration for sport? Has anyone within the club seen the 5 way agreement and why was it kept a secret?

Reply to  schoosh71

without knowing for sure, I reckon PL & the rest of the PLC were worried about UEFA investigating the SFA as it may have led to all Scottish teams being barred from Europe had they uncovered the corruption / flouting of the rule book going on at Hampden.
PL & the rest of the PLC also want any kind of rangers to play as it means more money in the coffers.

Binkabhoy, spot on sir. The fans talking about “restorative justice” for ” what was done to them” were the same fans who blindly accepted “wealth off the radar” stories without attempting to check, who marched on the bbc when it tried to point out the truth to them, who marched on the sfa as it attempted to fine a pallatable way to accommodate the new club by perverting its own rules, who protested to say ” no to liquidation” as it would end the history, then completely u turn that liquidation means no such thing, who hated Charlie as he wasn’t “a rangers man” then loved him coz he made them a cup of tea and said “watp”, who bought £5m worth of shares in a company that doesn’t play football, yet still insist they are “victims”.
Having twisted logic and themselves into believing this new company really was a continuation of rangers rather than a money making (for those with the contracts) New entity, they now find the solution out of their grasp – to start a fan owned onerous contract free 3rd rangers and slowly work their way up. Having invested, in every sense, in 2nd rangers being the same ad first rangers it will take a group of brave bears to stand up to their “brothers” and admit the last few years have been a sham, we’ve been supporting a company of hidden investors and not s football club, they have structured the clumpany in such a way they will always get money before the football side does and starting again, ignoring the last few years, admitting a break in history and working to a self sustaining model from lower / junior levels up is the only viable way to have a rangers football team back. Won’t hold my breath on that realisation happening soon, and certainly won’t feel sad that it doesn’t

Look at Steve, absolutely loving the wee bit of attention. Well done son, glad you’re enjoying yourself, I’d be doing what I could to make myself feel better too if I had stood by and did nothing* watching my club die and then from the Post Mortem (which is still going on) discover** the extent the the cheating, mismanagement, charity stealing, dodgy contracts, etc

I’d also be telling myself my club never died (in itself a u-turn after telling everyone liquidation meant the death of the club and we’d all be sorry).
