Agree 100% with Hector .. I want the board to allocate the funds and then walk away .. it isolates any of them from criticism and allows FOOTBALL people to decide what the players are worth. The Football Dept know if a fullback is better inverted or better on the overlap for example. If we sell a player then the Football Dept get a percentage above the allocated budget.
What football department?
The board knew Joe Hart was leaving since January yet Brendan Rodgers had to make a personal phone call to Kasper Schmeichel in June or July to persuade him to join us.
Does anyone know if we even have a football department and if we do does anyone know their names, apart from that of Brendan himself?
