Celtic Diary Saturday October 31: Early Morning Edition

Short one today, and if it tails off a bit, or comes to an abrupt end, it’s because the tarrier carrier has arrived and I’ve had to make a dash for the door.

Via the fridge, obviously.

Don’t know who she is, or why she’s in my litchen. But if she steals my beer she’ll get the rough edge of my tongue.

I won’t be back in time for the annula trick or treat ritual, which has pleased the wife. A couple of years ago she fell over in the garden and when the paramedics arrived, I sent them away with a handful of sweeties.

Anyway, monumental event yesterday, which cannot go unnoticed.

Ahead of todays lunchtime kick off with aberdeen , ronny spoke to the press. That’s right, he spoke to the press.

He didn’t have a rant, a rave, a roar or anything else beginning with “r”

Arseholes begins with “R” , if you use the phonetic alphabet, which should begin with “F” , come to think of it.

And Ronny more or less was saying that is what the press are.

Theres a video of it here, you should watch it. Deila is very imoresive, and will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up.

Ronny speaks

You have to watch it for yourself. It will show you exactly how much of an agenda the MSM has against the man, when you compare what you have seen to the hysterical reportage.

Laughably, the official site has watered down the text, omitting the bit about Rangers and the bit about other Scottish clubs and the national team failing in europe.

Come on, the least you can do is back the man who has thrown himself into the job.

The commitment he has is evident in the video. for all you read this morning about his rant, or his outburst, watch the video, and you’ll find it hard not to realise we have a gem of a manager.

It is also evident just how lttle time he has for the media. Other managers may have accepted their anti Celtic attitude, but he genuinely cannot understand it, and the way in which that feeling comes across can only serve as a reminder to the piss poor hacks that Scotland has, who attempt to pass themselves off as serious journalists.

As i said, short and sweet because the Lennon CSC are beginning to gather outside…

The Stoke based club has some serious work to do this weekend;

Ronny and the press. Spot on. Savvy. Thanks for the link. Ronny is learning the hard way about the MSM and its ‘balanced’ reporting. I liked his quip about Sevco and St. Johnstone.

When Ronny asked ” Where are rangers”?
How funny would it have been if he answered ” Dead, they are Zombies now “

I watched that press conference from Ronny Deila and it was heartening to see someone at Celtic telling these Huns in the media how it is.
Well done Ronny and keep doing it, the MSM in this country are a disgrace to their profession.
I remember a few years back now, a BBC ‘ reporter’ Forbes Mcfall asked Martin O’Neill what he ” was going to do about sectarianism at Parkhead “?
Martin looked like he was going to knock him out….you should have Martin!

The thing I hate most about the media though is ex-Celtic players needlessly having a go at the club, they should know better.
I don’t mind constructive criticism and I like the opinions of Sutton and Hartson who usually get it right, but guys like Charlie Nicholas and Andy Walker take a bit of a liberty at times.

Ronny, keep Celtic winning and keep that fire in your belly, well done! HH!

It was a brilliant response from a man who, being from Norway, wasn’t used to the bigots with crayons and the sheer hatred of Celtic. He cannot understand why Scottish scribes want to see a Scottish team get nowhere in Europe rather than backing them. He cannot understand the cheating by Referees and the almost total acceptance of this by the SMSM. He also cannot understand why the new pop up club at Castle Greyskull gets more praise for beating Alloa than Celtic do for winning the league. Most of all. he is probably thinking that the job of the Scottish Football Association is to do Sweet Feck All for clubs who are older than three years old. We have now heard the Real Ronny Roar.

Ronnie Deila’s measured and determined address to the press was a milestone in his tenure at Celtic I think. He spoke with clarity and resolve, and he showed them up as ignorant dogs as they sat in silence. Look at how they misrepresented what we all can watch for ourselves – billing it a spectacular rant, even on the radio they were talking about his extraordinary outburst. Of course they proved his point. There is no such thing as sectarianism in Scotland – discrimination against a person on grounds of his or her sect – but there used to be, on one side only, and it was entrenched. There is racism though, and it takes the form of a deep envy in our country, envy that the Irish survived and have thrived. It won’t diminish until Rangers win the Champions League. Who knows, under the man with the bread hat, this might happen before the sun burns out!

Monti

Brilliant response from Ronny and not before time but shameful the Celtic board never backed him. He’s doing well in Scotland but I think he needs to waken up in Europe, too naïve. Too many square passes and back passes with nobody running off the ball plus zonal marking could cost him.

Dan,
You will notice I mentioned the League cup and not ALL domestic trophies!
The point I made was that CL group stages and winning the League should be at the top of our ‘ to do list ‘ each season, I like a Scottish cup but that’s because I’m a greedy bastard.

I have said for years now that I’d prefer Celtic to not take part in the league cup, too many fixtures at the start of the season, give the smaller clubs a shot at getting to Hampden and winning the League cup.

Look at how the big English clubs treat their league cup….contempt.

Having said all of that, it gives me great pleasure in seeing green and white ribbons on silverware being paraded around Hampden.

Fuck it, let’s win everything…lol

Anyone listen to Rio Ferdinand talking about Alex Fergusons 3 year baron spell will understand why you need to give Deila time.
He told Rio not to woryy it was a transitional Period and they would be back stronger for it.
That’s Ferguson talking about a squad of genuine quality and with money being spent.
Patience is the key with Deila it always was.
Welcome back Holy missed your input.

Paranoia, paranoia, the manta of the Scottish establishment.
The hatred is palpable in the so called educated classes.
They don’t get that people from both faiths died during the potato famine.
For years the cheating has been blatant, finally Delia has bitten back.
The club should do more to deal with this bias in the football establishment and the media rather than accepting it as the norm.
So called Celtic fans should not take part in fone ins or media column comments, hit them where it hurts, ignore them.

Monti

….and ban them?

I would, in fact if I was in charge at Celtic, prior to the first question being asked by the media at a press conference ….I’d look at every one of them and tell them….Anyone who asks about or mentions a dead club today will be ejected from the stadium and under no circumstances will future access be approved.

Now you Hun fucks, first question…..?

I see we are getting off lightly at christmas as Mouldy Old Dough has decided that bringing in “five, six or seven new signings”, in January would only upset his poor wee lambs and is in no way a response to his chairman’s assertion that they would need to bring in five in January to have a go at us.

Hope Collins gets the video of Ronny’s conference out seven minutes before the game and gets everyone to take their feckin’ headphones off and watch it before leaving the dressing room.

Great performance today!!! That’s two down (Hearts & Aberdeen) now the other two that can show that the team IS progressing..Molde & Ajax. If Ronny gets them to win those two matches it will lift the gloom that had set in the last couple of months and make this season memorable.
I was concerned that without Broonie they would not have enough drive, but the team to a man looked totally motivated…we can only guess what Ronny has been saying to them in the privacy of the club. I think the players got a we lift from his press conference as well.
I bet the hacks were praying to the Goat God that we got beat today…now they’ll have to tear up their pre-written reports and start again.
Now on to Thursday…REVENGE against Molde. Lets show them the real Celtic!!
And what a gem is wee Tierney? Old head on young shoulders and bags of talent.
I couldnae be happier.
That lassie at the fridge is mine…she said “Funkyy wunkky would you like a cold beer or something? I said “I’ll have a something hen”.

Funkyy

Yep, the Aberdeen goal was offside, just a foot, but offside nonetheless. I think that we can be happy with the performance as much as with the result. Now a repeat on Thursday. I hope Molde come here thinking that it’s gonna be easy and that we gave our best in Norway…overconfidence could be their undoing.

Try to watch the way BBC news at 6.30 reported his press conference last night, complete with sped up action of him speaking, Absolute disgrace and totally biased from them.
As big a disgrace as the Club sanitising his speech for fear it offends 2angers or Scotland.

Steve naive, I’m already wondering how they’ll cover (up) Administration/Liquidation 2. Do they really think that if they don’t report it naebody will notice?

Got Hearts right at 2-1, today I got right at 3-1. I’d have been happy with 3-0 though. On a roll! Just need to win the lotto tonight. There’s a marquee signing for youse! I gamble with my heart and not my head so those two results are luck, I also think we’ll take Molde. Likewise, 2-1. This was really good football today. We had over 30 shots on goal and what, 15 corners? Was Simunovic’s a bad injury? Wee Griffiths? What can I say? A good day at the office. We may need to watch Hearts more closely who are now six behind in second place. Check the points totals, nobody else will is in the running now.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game yesterday but before we scored I had that nagging doubt it might just be one of those days where the play was good, their keeper was great and our finishing not so?
Thankfully young Tierney and Griffiths combined to kill that notion off.
Quality will come good in the end it always does and that piece of play epitomised everything we are about and where our Manager has us headed.
Whilst both above had great games yesterday I am seriously confused as to why Tom Rogic was not named Man Of The Match yesterday he had a fantastic game I thought from whistle to whistle he was involved in just about everything that was positive about Celtic.
He has improved no end under Ronny Deila and as a result is getting his chance.
On the flip side I thought Commons has a stinker of a fist half.
Touch was poor ,movement a bit laboured and it seemed he was a wee bit off his game to me?
Second half he looked a bit like himself.
Johansen is a pointer no doubt about it but his overall game yesterday was a marked improvement on his form the rest of this Season and as a result I don’t think Scott Brown was missed.
Aberdeen did carve out some great chances it has to be said but also has to be said is they are not a bad side and can actually play Football to a decent level sometimes just like Celtic.
Overall a great advert for our game and a very good 3 points for Celtic.
