Celtic Diary Thursday June 8: So, Mr Regan, Address This, If You Will

In typical fashion, the establishment has conspired to provide a deflection in the form of a general election just as more revelations were appearing about the misconduct of the SFA and the unhealthy hold Dave King seems to have over Scottish football. ( Nurse-he’s fallen out of bed again-Ed ).

Incidentally, the wife misheard me this morning when I said there was an election today, and I’m not entirely happy that she seemed relieved to be corrected.

Within a few hours of asking whether or not Rangers had committed fraud, Stewart Regan had contacted the papers.. and claimed he and his chums at Hampden had done nothing wrong in granting a licence to compete in Europe in 2011.

And he went further…

“We all know if there are any further challenges to the processes which have taken place we will address those as and when they come forward.

“I am not concerned by that at all, because we know we have followed every process that we had to follow in line with the guidance from UEFA and in line with the information we received by the key deadlines established.

There was a challenge in yesterdays diary. There will be further challenges. You’ll be surprised to learn that he hasn’t addressed it.

But hey!

It’s still early.

“We have nothing to fear. No issues in terms of the decisions that the Scottish FA made.

Again, I refer you to the “wee tax case “…the bill that had crystallised that Regan said hadn’t.

The one referred to in court during the Whyte showtrial.

Would he care, just to be going on with, to tell us if he knew it had crystallised ?

Would he care to tell us if he even knew of its existence, and if he did, could he explain why he didn’t check if it had crystallised ?

Would he perhaps, just while we are on the subject clarify if he chose to believe what Rangers told him about it, or if they just didn’t tell him ?

Oops…

You know, maybe we should just ask him this…

You have been dismissive of our concerns about RFC 2011 UEFA license. Do we need a judicial review to get the facts?

Or perhaps this one ..

does this bring t/ game into disrepute, buying ‘stolen’ personal information on member How can you excuse this?

I’m sure , given that he wants to address any challenges, he’s all ready to engage in open and frank discussion , just to clear everything up.

Or perhspd he could explain, in simple terms , why King, Murray and now Johnston are allowed anywhere near Scottish football, when its becoming apparent they are leading a second Ibrox entity into the abyss.

The wee tax case seems to have been the subject of an attempt to airbrush it from history. Maybe thats due to it being the smoking gun that points directly at the misgovernace , malpractice or the downright cheating that seems to have taken place within the walls of Hampden when it became apparent that Rangers needed European money to keep the lights on.

In actual fact, such were the debts that came to light as the club slid into liquidation, that extra money probably wouldn’t have made that much difference in the long run.

They were going under, the European money would have just let them wave their arms about for a bit longer.

And now that they have gone down, perhaps Regan could also explain a blatant abuse of advertising and trading rules…

Anyway, I’m sure one or two of our intrepid hacks are already on the trail….

For instance, yesterday, it was revealed that Dave King had paid thousands of pounds for the hacked emails that became known as the Charlotte Fakes..the SMSM scooping the story a mere twelve months after John James had told everyone else on his weblog.

With the SMSM setting such a frightening pace with their revelations, it looks like I’ll need to get one of my grandchildren to drop a wee note off by my headstone to tell me we were right-the SFA were at it.

Meanwhile, Neil Doncaster has spoken out as well, reassuring the public that a person like Craig Whyte will never be allowed in Scottish football again, (according to the headline ) even though I’m sure a court recently ruled he was innocent…

“The rules within the SPFL were changed dramatically in the aftermath of what happened with Rangers in terms of taxes being paid and players being paid on time.

“Making any predictions about the future is fraught. If anybody had predicted what was going to happen in the past five years they would have been laughed out of town.

“We are in a new place now with Rangers back in the Premiership and we also look forward to a top flight with the return of Hibs making it as competitive as it has been for a while.”

Return of Rangers-return of Hibs? Surely he cannot be drawing on this as an example of two similar cases ?

Then he harped on for a bit about cross border football and the Atlantic league, forgetting that no other association would come anywhere near the SFA/SPFL as they like to run their own game honestly and transparently.

He didn’t actually appear to say he wouldn’t be letting in shysters who would ruin a football club, largely because right now there are three directors at the current “rangers ” who were at least partly respinsible for the demise of the old one.

Celtic have remained silent on the accusations hurled at the SFA and Regan since the Whyte trial uncovered a lot of what we already knew, as indeed have other clubs.

Perhaps they are getting ready for an onslaught.

After all, they have a duty to shareholders…

Its imperative we move away from the Celtic Rangers stigma attached to these shennannigans, and involve as many fans of other clubs as we can.

That should be on the minds of the Celtic board as they examine the fallout and possible consequences now that it has been confirmed something very wrong took place back in 2011-12…

We hear that the jury in the Whyte case have been outed…

Image result for irish celebrations

Of course, this is nonsense.

Thats Pedros new players reporting for training at the worlds most successful club.

‘I’ve joined the best club in Scotland’ says Fabio Cardoso

Newest. He meant Newest. Must have got lost in translation.

“I met Caixinha for the first time in the airport and I spoke to him a lot. I like him and what he had to say. He is the right person to put Rangers where it belongs, which is first place. I am very happy to be here. For me, this is the best club in Scotland and I will do my best to help us make history together.”

This guy hadn’t heard of “Rangers “, Caixinha or Derry’s Walls before he signed, so no doubt it would have been a major surprise to find out the club was even more successful than Benfica or Porto in his homeland, or  Barcelona and Real Madrid just up the road.

It is election day today, and perhaps theres an easier way than popping out to vote, as a letter to highbrow magazine Viz explains..

Remember, if you are going to vote Conservative, your election takes place tomorrow.

You’ve swallowed enough shite over the last few years so i’m sure you’ll believe this as well.

We go back to Tuesday for the last caption competition…

I won..

“There was confusion at a Conservative rally today when a heckler shouted “Oi, you clueless cow ”

Today, what is going on here..

Ignore the title below the picture, thats just fake news…I want to know whats really going on.

Morning Ralph, fellow Tims & not so much my new Troll,
Watched a brief conference between BBC man Chris McLaughlin & Tttthtewart Regan, Regan would crumble under questioning about this whole affair, you can see him squirm uncomfortably under the mildest of questioning, he would break in minutes sat in front of an inquiry.
Not wanting to complain too much ( see Weered ) but as i said yesterday, this is a matter for the WHOLE of Scottish football, not just for Celtic, the other clubs chairmen and fans grouos need to find their fucking voices and quickly, do they not care? Do they like being cheated?
Wake up, stand up and fight for your fucking club!
Change is possible, the support hold the key to this change, but if the will isn’t there, then nothing will change.

The only action that will ensure you hit home to the board is through the supporters actions and efforts, not a fan of Boycotts but when you look at what could be achieved from it, maybe there is something in it.
If every supporter of every club said they would not set foot in their own ground, pay for a season ticket, refuse to buy official club merchandise, an empty Kerrydale bar on match day, if fans did that at all their own grounds, change would happen overnight.
It is going to take that!

P.S. No masons were hurt during this live posting!

Why would the other Scottish clubs complain, when they are just as reliant on the blue pound as the green.
Look at the other clubs grounds,
Look at the other clubs attendances,
The SFA/SPFL, What are they good for, absolutely nothing, good God.
Silent on racism,
Silent on Sectarianism,
Silent on Fraud.

Mike,
Morning mate,
I would hope they would complain because they have been cheated, season after season.
Are you saying the clubs shouldn’t care about that because Huns are filling their stadiums?
What a sorry state we are in if that’s the case.
We all know the chairmen and clubs want the hun money, but the fans? Why are they silent?

mike

Reply to  Monti

Its amazing what people do for money, for most clubs its a question of survival, Scottish fitba. is in a perilous state, depending on every possible outside income, there can be no other reason for there silence.
We can afford to be moralistic, but even our own board are silent because despite what they say, they clearly do not want the club to lose income, what other reason is there?
And yes it is a very sorry state of affairs.
That is the only reason I can see that could possibly explain there silence.
I absolutely hate that, the sport that we all love, compromised by cheats and injustice.

It has been very clear for the past few years, that only a few hundred supporters are interested in Res.12.
Ralph’s petition highlight’s this, its very depressing and especially for all the folks who worked extremely hard to investigate, fund and continue to highlight it. We cannot thank them enough.
With each passing month, a successful outcome seems further away.

Yes that is all true, and I for one would be all for some kind of protest, unfortunately the support do not have the appetite for it.
Ralph’s petition was addressed to ALL the Celtic support and frankly I thought that he did extraordinarily well in achieving 5000 signatures, but that is the reality.
The board its been proven have no appetite to take this further, if they change there mind then I would be very surprised, I live in hope.

The problem isn’t in the content of your posts, Monti, it’s in your misreading of the responses to your posts, whether deliberate or not, most often with uncalled for venom.

Weered did not criticise your emailing the relevant bodies, he only made the perfectly valid point that it’s useless, as we all know it, and as today’s events have shown once again.

As Ralph so ruthlessly points out, the bandwagon rolls on, no questions asked and no questions answered, same as it is ever was and, looks like, will ever be.

5000 was a good number, Ralph, and it’s not for your lack of effort that no more got on board.
(And a powerful article today, muchos gracias.)

But it’s clear we now know they’ll do anything to thwart any publicity around this, JF sounds like he’s done with it all, ffs, and that would be a bad thing, to lose a man like that in the fight.

Look at the lengths they’ll go to tar Celtic’s name, and bury all this shit at the same time, when they made the poxy lying fuck of the newspaper that once was The Guardian print the Resolution 12 ad IN FUCKIN FRENCH and then LYING OUTRIGHT to the public by trying to blame the Bhoys for it, ‘Thye gave us the wrong copy’, lied ‘The Guardian’, only to be caught out with the proofs of it by the lads themselves!

They say and do what they want with impunity, and they’ll do ANYTHING to smear Celtic’s name, yet we’re told by some her not to question them, while their bandwagon just keeps rolling on?!
On a fine and free forum such as this, or any other, no one should be subject to sudden impugn attacks simply for expressing their honest opinions in a decent and civilised manner.

Of course, everyone should have the right to pass comments to each other in familiarity, but not to be harassed and repeatedly bothered, whether by deliberate, or genuinely ignorant, design, as such wilful ‘misunderstandings’ can only ever lead to anger, disruption and bile, particularly toward those who are creating them.

This is an honest outlet for Celtic fans, and others, to express themselves fully in a language they know how to understand and NOT to be immediately jumped on in an aggressively spiteful manner lest they might say something their assailant would prefer not to hear.

One of the few civil liberties we have left is our speech, and our innate right to use it, and it’s on forums like this, and all others, where we should feel we can put it to use, even if it is only talk without action.

And it is essential that all involved respect and adhere to the implicit civic and social agreements we have had created, and create for ourselves, so that we function in a civilised manner, in a spirit of goodwill and not spite.

To behave in a contrary manner to this, which deliberately disrupts and disrespects these essential social agreements, is to draw both ire and suspicion from those present and who also have something genuine to add to the discussion, without any fear of ridicule, antisocial venom or deliberately misguided abuse.

We all, each and every one of us, implicitly understands these agreements, and largely adhere to them in a spirit of goodwill and mutual understanding every day of our lives, and, rather than their being but a product of a law or forced down executive order, we willingly engage in them, so that our mutual civic cooperation is assured.

And these mutual understandings and harmonious agreements are essential for our society to function on any and every level, and it has saddened, and, aye, inflamed me, and still does, to see them so much flaunted round here.

In such disruptively aggressive circumstances, I can’t help but question the motives.

‘Everything needs to be questioned at all times. To do otherwise is stupid.’

Yet, because one since individual doesn’t want to ask or hear the question, no one else is allowed to either, without a week’s worth of trolling ahead ..?

We should be grateful for the few true freedoms we have left, and should implicitly know how to use them in a decent and open manner, to prevent them, too, being taken away fae us.

For wha’s lik’ us, eh?

Gey few, and they’re aw deid.

Mike, I think there are many more supporters out there, who support Res12 but want leadership from the club.
Back to the save our celts in the 90s I had many arguments with my auld man,who detested the thought of boycotts of Celtic,as I stood outside and he went in,I think he was ashamed of me to be honest.
But we knew the truth, and the old board had to go, the rest they say is history.
Ralph’s petition was a great idea, but again it’s on a Celtic website, the Internet bampots, we need Celtic to lead on this one. Any other gesture is futile.
If Celtic do and say nothing, then we are a club like any other. Money first, truth honesty integrity, nah that’s for the Internet bampots.
The baw is burst, if Celtic say and do nothing.

Jimmy, I very much agree on the,” If Celtic do and say nothing, then the baw is burst” it just seems to me that in the intervening years, the continued silence and the deflection from the board means that it is money first and integrity second.
As someone who, like my son have backed financially the Res12 bhoys that the lack of endeavour from the board confirms our suspicion that nothing is gonny happen.

If Reagan’s defence is that the SFA were duped then he needs to be asked what is he going to do about it?

Will he do nothing, because it’s a new club? OK, fair enough.

Will he do something because it’s the same club (I know, I know) and at least 3 of the Directors who were involved in the duping are now on the board of the club/holding company/clumpany.

Given what he’s said about Whyte, he surely has to act/express his opinions, one way or another?

Hahahaha, belter! 😀

And that is really the true source of my anger p, that this guy just cannot leave anyone alone, no comment or poster has been left untainted by the (red) hand of Monti.

And the thing is, (no, not THAT thing), I have not only got UNDER his skin, I am currently, and quite vehemently, committed to this project of tearing every strip of it off, but only until the moment he gives up his aggression and bullying, self supposed, ‘dominance’of this site.

And I will continue tearing each strip off him piece by painful piece, and will continue right in through his muscles, right through his sinews, his arteries, his veins and his bones, and right down to the very fibre of his being, wherein lies the motives for his boorish and bile-filled behaviour, so I can hold it up before him so that he may finally see it for what it truly is.

And al he has to do to prevent this total annihilation of his character iand persona is to admit he’s been a dick, and it stops.

Cos I just want peace to discuss what’s going on at our club and our overall game itself in the peace that absolutely EVRYONE should be afforded in which to express themselves.

He stops insulting, either new guests or old, and I stop tearing, it’s as simple as that.

Because I’m only acting the part of his ‘mirror’ in this mission, weered, and my sincerest intent is to inform, not defile.

But if this fool keeps up with his foul invective and suppression and bullying, then completely defiled his whole being will be, and it will all be his own thick self obsessed ego that has caused it.

I’m just a reflector, he is the source, and the only way to stop being a shit magnet is to stop throwing around shit.

With the recent Racist incidents involving the Huns, i wonder what a few of their new signings would have to say about that?

STV report that Alistar Johnston breaks company house laws.
Yet doesn’t condone it,doesn’t question why he is back on the board, doesn’t go to the sfa to say this guy acted illegally what you going to do about it,but allows him to give his excuses as to why he did it. Looks like it was because he wanted the same wage as Peter was on.
FFS you couldn’t make this up.
Here’s a question, what if this wasn’t Rangers in 2011, what if it was us,or Aberdeen,do you think Murray and his band of thieves would have allowed us to keep the titles, would have allowed us to continue a myth,of being the same club.
Norton your life, and this is why the Celtic board have to come out fighting on this. The same cunts who danced away at the semi final, would have destroyed us,given half a chance.
This is what angers me the most. I know what those fuckers would have done to us,and so does Peter and Dermot.
So fuck knows what they are playing at.

Breaking news:Don’t read if offended by blatant corruption and crimes going unpunished! Nimrod Smith releases bulletin stating NO TITLES will be stripped!Hasn’t given reasons but G.Speirs states it would’ve been Ludicrous anyway?? I’m going for a wee scream in a dark room…..

This ensures that our great club Rangers will live for ever

I agree that CFC board should take the lead, they have 50,000 plus season ticket holders, or do they watch Scottish Football brought to its knees again by the Hun scum, in their desperation to cheat their way to 55;
