Celtic Diary Thursday November 10: Regan Suspended Pending Investigation !

Well, not yet, but thats the aim behind this petition, after a trial run on this site to gauge feeling and hopefully formulate some sort of cohesive strategy.

I did consider simply insulting everyone, isolating the minorities and blaming the foreigners for all our problems, but thats been done already.

So, I simply went with this.

petition-to-the-sfa

Or, as it appears on twitter..

You know what to do. and spread it as far and wide as you possibly can.
By asking the SFa to respond to the allegations of impropriety, we can then deal with that response when it happens, and who knows, todays title may be repeated at some point in the future.

Most of us are familiar with the allegations, and the work put in by the chaps behind Resolution 12, which was to have been raised at a Celtic AGM , but dropped amid assurances from the club that everyone could
Image result for we got this
Well, as time progressed, it appears not only had the board at Celtic ” got this “, it seeed that they had decided to keep it, somewhere in a cupboard deep down in the bowels of Celtic Park, never to be seen or heard of again.
In two classic deflective moves, the club hired a manager who would divide the support and mean his performances dominated the websites, forums and phone ins, before following it an appointment that would unite the fans again and, er, dominate the websites forums and phone ins.
While Resolution 12 sat undisturbed and unaddressed for years, and if not for the valiant efforts of a few who resolutely decided that the issue must not be forgotten, would no doubt have disappeared from our thoughts.
The media largely ignored the accusations , they failed to answer the questions, and more recently have ignored the threats and intimidation of those who have refused to let the matter drop.
All of which is severely damaging the image of the game in Scotland.
And yet the arrogance of the man in charge, Stewart Regan, and the obvious disdain he has for those of us who directly or indirectly finance the SFA and the game it it charged with governing, allowed him to astonishingly blame the rest of us for being negative about our national sport…
“I still find it an incredibly negative environment at times. I don’t know whether it is part of the Scottish psyche, whether there is so much demand and expectation that when things don’t happen, people feel really negative. I find it very surprising. When I sit at Uefa and talk to colleagues they find it surprising that there is so much negativity in the Scottish media around the national sport.”
Well, thats because they are unaware of the real reason for the negativity, which is surprising because he is sitting right next to them telling them he doesn’t know why either.
Another article, this time from the Sports Integrity Initiative, which whilst not the most well known of sites, shows that gradually the story is getting out there, and the more that this happens, the more the mainstream media will come under pressure to at least pretend they are trying to do something about it.
I know of at least one journalist who did try to get a one to one with Regan, and ask him the questions that were raised by the offshore game report back in May, and have asked him this morning if he’ll tell me how it went.
The article is more or less a full and informative description of where we are up to at the moment, and is what I would call a “must read “, because if we have all read it, we will then all know exactly what its all about, and we can shake some of the myths surrounding the intentions of Resolution 12 once and for all, especially the bit about it being all about Rangers, because it wasn’t, it  isn’t and it never will be.
I’ll nip out for a fag while you read this, and maybe even make myself another cup of tea… ( Yeah, even at home i have to smoke outside. Otherwise I have to do the decorating, which , like other practical tasks, is somewhat beyond my capabilities. Way beyond them, in fact. )
Image result for hey you
Image result for yes you
Go back and read it. I saw what you did there, I’ve got one of those webcam thingies, and you didn’t read it.
Go back.
You see, this article is a little over the top-but thats fine by me-and there are questions about the legalities, but the point is it came from a separate complaint to that of the Resolution 12 guys.
The truth is out there, and it is getting closer to the surface.
You still haven’t read it have you ?
I’ll wait….
Image result for skeleton at keyboard
( I’ve lost a bit of weight with the tramadol, but you can tell its me by the fag hanging out of my mouth. )
Discuss the article openly on here and on other forums , social media and if you tell the radio stations you want to talk about going for 55 or Mark Warburton will get it right, you can quickly change the subject on air to demanding the SFA respond to the allegations…
As I pointed out, the article has been pulled pending legal clarification about certain points, but again its all about discussion.
You can make your own mind up about its content.
The SFA may decide to comment on it. They may decide that as it is under legal review they can come out and rebuff the allegations, but that would start the discussions that they are trying to avoid.
I would simply respond to that by asking them to undertake a full independent inquiry, this time overseen by UEFA, to clarify the situation.
Who knows, maybe they are innocent of all charges…
Image result for uncontrollable laughter
And its about getting the SFA to comment and therefore continue that discussion. Out in the open where we can all see it.
One thing to note from the article is this.. which is particularly significant if true..
The fellow  is waiting for the SFA to produce an HMRC letter that SFA claims  means liability was not overdue.
That is a change of tune from the SFA’S original stance of liability being potential.
That of itself requires an explanation.
As a wise man told me..
It is my view that an investigation is necessary not only for the technical reasons listed  but because Mr Regan the SFA CEO has been playing his counterpart CEO Peter Lawwell of  Celtic as well as Celtic shareholders  with misleading explanations from December 2011 onwards  to cover what did take place in 2011 and the SFA’S part in it.
If we keep chipping away, the wall will fall down.
(Note, video Celts is reporting that the site is coming under attack, so it must have hit a nerve. All of this kerfuffle makes signing the petition even more important,as its surely in everyones interest to get the matter cleared up. )
From Video Celts..

A website exposing the timeline of the licence issue between the SFA and Rangers (IL) has come under attack.

Sports Integrity Initiative caught the attention on social media yesterday but as word spread the site appears to have come under attack.

Scotland play England on Friday night, and the antics of the SFA have made me a lot less interested in the event than i would normally be, and I usually support Scotland against England in anything, or against anyone come to think of it. Even going so far to watch Scotland snow World.bat and ball number one in action when he’s on the telly.
I watch the Calcutta Cup games and cheer for Scotland even though I haven;t got the faintest idea whats going on, but somehow i can;t summon up the enthusiasm for this game this week.
And thats down to Regan and his cohorts.
I might watch the USA v Mexico instead, and see if the Americans make the Mexicans build their defensive wall.
Back at the ranch, and Celtics development side added to the misery of Aston Villa fans when they won 3-0 down at Villa Park last night in a Premier League international cup tie.. this is from the Vital FootballVilla webpage..
Aston Villa’s young charges fell to defeat to Celtic in the Premier League International Cup tie last night.

Hosting the side at Villa Park for the Group E tie, Villa fell to a first defeat in the competition and it’s pretty fair to say that with a three nil scoreline, Celtic were worthy victors with two goals coming into the opening period, before they added a third in the second half.

The disappointment for Villa will be in having a number of seniors on display in the game, as Tommy Elphick, Aly Cissokho, Aaron Tshibola and Gabby Agbonlahor got a run out.

Agbonlahor also had a second half penalty well saved in the match.

Villa:

Sarkic, Hale (C), Elphick, Cissokho, Leggett, Doyle-Hayes, Tshibola (Humphries 70), Abdo (Davis 55), Blackett-Taylor, O`Hare, Agbonlahor (Mooney 70).

Unused subs:

Idem, Abdoul, Prosser, Pastorek.

Yellows – Doyle-Hayes.

Celtic:

Bailly, Ralston, Boyata, McCart (C), McIlduff, Thomson (Hill 79), Lindsay, Mackay-Steven, Donnelly (McManus 67), Miller (Archibald 76), Aitchison.

Unused subs:

Hazard, Wardrop, Crossan, Hendry.

Yellows – Donnelly, McCart.
Goals – Donnelly (15, 63), Aitchison (34).

Officials:
Referee: Anthony Serrano.
Assistant referee 1: Oliver Bickle.
Assistant referee 2: Joshua Few.
Fourth Official: Matthew Law.
It was Celtics first outing in the tournament, and the Group E table now looks like this…
Form
1. Celtic U23 1 1 0 0 3:0 3
2. Norwich U23 1 1 0 0 2:0 3
3. Aston Villa U23 2 1 0 1 2:4 3
4. Valencia B 2 0 0 2 1:4 0

But they aren’t telling us where.
I mentioned that the result added to Villa fans misery for a reason, because they may have picked up a copy of the Birmingham Mail on the way to the game..

Could Joey Barton be heading to Aston Villa? The bookies seem to think so.

Its probably him doing the betting.

But their fans aren’t impressed..

The Aston Villa faithful do NOT want Joey Barton near the club.

That’s according to the poll we ran last night after a rumour emerged that the controversial Rangers midfielder may be a target for Villa and Burnley.

A telling 62% of supporters voted that they don’t want him at Villa Park

Our sister title the Mirror reported that Villa are interested in reviving Joey Barton’s career with the player reportedly on the brink of a pay-off from Rangers after being signed off with stress.

The 34-year-old and Rangers are said to be trying to reach a settlement over his contract which expires in the summer of 2018.

Poor joey.

If only he had a story to sell, maybe as another book or a newspaper series…

Poor Joey, it could all have been so different..

Barton to Kranjcar, kranjcar turns, chips the ball in van Persie volleys home, 55 secured

Now there’s a guy who can keep his lottery numbers to himself.

Perhaps Joey could get the guy behind this to help him sell his story, who appears to have completely misunderstood why the phrase he has used to market the Rangers Youth package -or whatever it is-has become so popular…

but none of this matters, as it looks to me like Peter Lawwell, having already taken advantage of “state aid ” package, is looking to get investment from another state…
Or he could just be checking out hotels for the upcoming club break in Dubai.
And yes, I know the state aid thing is a load of horseshit, but its always good to give the gullibillies something to hang on to in these dark days.
Actually, they could do worse than sign the petition above.
After all, surely they don’t want to see another of their favourite clubs go to the wall due to SFA meddling.

Bill and Hilary’s attempt to get through immigration is foiled.

Very soon, Donald J Trump will take up the position that US comedy cartoon The Simpsons predicted so long ago,

Photo published for 10 times The Simpsons predicted the future

Yet it could have been so different for the loudmouthed bigoted racist mysognistic tosser…but apparently he wanted nothing to do with this lot, as he found them too extreme..

Donald Trump could have been Rangers owner instead of

President of the United States

Todays picture, which i’m sure you’ll be able to explain, is this one…

The Norwich U23 game will be a Carrow Road next Wednesday. Tickets are available at no cost in the South Stand (Jarrold Stand as was) with no specific area set aside for Celtic supporters. Tickets will be available at the office at Carrow Road and would expect that the shop in Castle Mall will also be able to issue them.

Tickets are going quickly, although we expect that they will open the Barclay Lower if there is sufficient demand.

Joey budgie Bartons reported £1 million pounds payoff asks some questions.
At some £200k per game is it good value for the bestest player in the world,he must be,cos its up with rubber arse Ronaldo.
Where is the money coming from?
Will they sell 2/3 players in the January window to cover this and other costs?
The new January sales, buy two players and get three thrown in for the same money.
There could be an opertunity for the Tic. to bring in some players, cheep, cheep.

The sii has a couple of errors, the most obvious being the granting of a UEFA licence wasn’t to speed up the return or Rangersnto the top flight, it was to give them access to CL money to pay off creditors to keep them alive. Fortunately the players were not good enough and we got to see just how deep this rabbit hole goes.

Ralph,

I think I’m going to need a fluorescent light in my coffin to get to the end of today’s Dairy and attachments. Some amount of stuff to absorb. I have read a big percentage so far and though it repeats a lot of what we knew, the SII bits seem to bring everything into focus. Hard going at times but great to see an “outsider” championing the cause. You were right, this issue is not going away even though every attempt is being made to silence the minority and no support is forthcoming from those in whom we invest the power. Very satisfying reading all round today and, in spite of the darkness, the humour still breaks through. Well done!

looks like Celtic v Man. City maybe ’68 I think, friendly at Hampden. Was a big crowd at Celtic end and turnstiles not working properly(they were at the bottom of the ground then) Some big lads caved a gate in and we followed them in. Think it was a draw, maybe 0-0 and I got a fish supper on the way home. Was 8

I see The Daily Ranger puts their clever slant on Joey Barton’s exit with
“Joey Barton and Rangers finally separate as Ibrox club announce his contract has been ripped up”.
The impression being that they dramatically and with total impunity “tore up” his contract…note the lack of very important detail such as how much they had to AGREE to PAY him in order to MUTUALLY TERMINATE his contract. Of course that would be like admitting that Barton had their balls in a legally binding vice and they couldn’t just make him disappear..like they did with the old club’s debts. The sleekit way this rag polishes the shitey events that embroil sevco is an insult to honest journalism.
But they managed (as always) to find a negative Celtic story…Biton “had a tantrum” while away with the Israel selection. FFS.

What a fiasco over at SEVCO regarding Joey Barton. The complete farce and mismanagement is comical. Now Imagine if that happened at Celtic! There would be shrill headlines of the end of the club and what clowns we were etc etc etc. It must be really hard trying to report anything positive these days on the “currant buns” even for the ethically challenged Scottish press core. Never mind lads when SEVCO goes bust you can let it all out without Level 5 banning you from Ibrox
