Questions That The Scottish Media Need To Ask

As usual, the mainstream media in Scotland have adopted a policy of turning a blind eye to all matters concerning a club playing out of Ibrox. This despite history showing them that ignoring a problem such as this will not solve it.

Indeed, if there was any chance of a recurrence down Kinning Park way of any sort of financial problems that threaten to put an end to the revival of everyones favourite institution, one would feel the press would be all over it to prevent another fiasco which would make our game the focus of much hilarity yet again.

Perhaps they don’t know what to ask. Perhaps they don;t know who to ask ?

Or perhaps, like the last time, they are just hoping everything will turn out nice again.

Well, it didn’t turn out nice the last time, people were threatened, people have been intimidated and above all, people have been hurt.

So what are they doing to make sure that those who took over the reign of David Murray at Ibrox are doing their best to prevent a scenario similar to when Murray chucked it and disappeared into the sunset with absolutely no questions asked as to his behaviour ?

In fact, there’s where the first question should be aimed . Publicly , if not directly, at Murray.

Why did the original Rangers go into liquidation ?

We could then follow on from there..

Exactly how much money, and on what terms, and who from, was borrowed from the banks to finance the club in its latter years ?

and then..

Did the bank or banks involved carry out their duty as responsible lenders to ascertain whether any loans received were able to be paid back based on financial results from the football club ?

Apart from the apparent  freefall into borrowing from Peter to pay Paul policy that Murray seemed to adopt,

On whose advice, or was it his own initiative, did he decide to go down this route ?

and when the club spiralled further and further into debt..

Why did you, or your advisers, continue with a policy that clearly was going to lead the club out of business ?

As for the unique remuneration arrangements with some of the staff, on and off the filed, actually, come to think of it, on and off the books.

Was proper diligence applied to the legalities of the EBT system of remuneration, and who with ?

That should be enough to be going on with about events up to and including the insolvency event that wiped the club out.

Moving forward to the present day, and again a few questions need to be asked of the current custodians doing business out of ibrox. As basic as it seems, we need public clarification from the Ibrox board of a few things…which seem to have be sort of fudged over a wee bit..

Is Rangers ( in liquidation ) the same club as  Rangers currently playing in the Scottish Professional Football League?

Basic, I know, but there needs to be a public and clear declaration on this. Never mind all the nonsense about different companies owning this, or owning that.

A clear and concise one word answer will do.

If the answer is Yes, as their marketing  seems to suggest, then quite simply,

Why weren’t the creditors paid out of the original share issue in 2012 ?

come to think of it,

Where did all that money actually go ?

If that answer is no, then they should be asked ..

Why are they soliticing finance from supporters under the pretence of being the original Rangers ?

Moving away from the club/company/basket of assets for a moment, we’ll shift the focus to the SFA, and ask them for clarification.

Is Rangers (in liqudation) the same club as Rangers currently playing in the Scottish Professional football League ?

Gretna went into liquidation some years ago. Are the current set up from Gretna , who particpated in the Scottish Cup recently, the same club as the Gretna who went into liquidation ?

Can the SFA/SPFL fully explain any differences or similarities between the two latest entities of both clubs ?

Moving back to Ibrox, and I’d like to know, on account of a few of my friends who regularly attend games there, and a few more who will be attending in December..

Can we have absolute clarifaction of the safety of the stadium structure after recent suggestions that work is required to repair certain issues that have developed ?

Who owns Ibrox stadium ?

Who is responsible for the repairs ?

What work is needed and when will it be carried out ?

There are several journalists in Scotland who know the answers to many of these questions.

Yet not one of them has sought clarification, and released it into the public domain.

The latter series of questions is the most important here, as it may well yet have serious implications, possibly to the extent that injuries may be sustained and even lives lost.

Given the track record of those currently involved at the SFA, the SPFL and Ibrox, there is a real need for reassurance that there is no problem with the safety of any supporter attending any game at Ibrox.

We can deal with the financial shennanigans after.

Imagine the scenario where the roof comes down, people are killed and then it comes out that many in the smsm knew about the problems but failed to say anything about it.

There will be a lot of worried hacks around.

What will they say then?

The questions need to be addressed to the ‘Fat Controller” as he’s the svengali now and never forget it was Regan sending press releases to Ibrox for approval. FCUK the smsm, their silence on the ‘bigot Bots’ singing ilegal song means by association of the issue and ignoring it the only conclusion can be,reached is that they also are bigots. Did I say FCUK the smsm, lickspittel bigot each and everyone of them.

It was the Nimmo smith decision that decided on the new club new co argument, according to safa/spfl, when it wasn’t part his remit. See once the knowledge gets out that EBT are illegal, our Peter will have his fingers crossed that it all forgotten about. HH

You could also ask ( nods here to JohnJames and PMcG)

Given the last Boards performance, should Paul Murray and Dave King be allowed anywhere near a controlling role?

Has every tax dollar due been paid on time by this current administration?

Are there any debts outstanding greater than 90 business days?

When did you last pay a water bill?

Do you have ANY current Football related debts, i.e to other clubs, players, suppliers

Is it true you pay more to a PR company than you do in win bonuses?

When will you seek a listing?

When will you get a clean set of Audited books signed off without caveat and on time?

Why do Rangers always get home games in the Cup?

Would one bad winter of called off games kill your club?

Why does your club need to take money from Rangers Charity Foundation and the Supporters Share groups to survive which is surely breaching those institutions initial mission statements?

Have you no shame?

Have you the shredder company on speed dial?

Great questions, but can you also add please, ‘what is the meaning of life?’ as you’re more likely to get that answered than any of the other questions!

here is a wee question…what is ibrox worth ? what value ? and then ask the question ….how much money is needed to repair all of the stadium ?
what happens if the value of the stadium is less than the amount needed to fix it ?
is it possible that the best value for money would be to knock down the stadium and then sell the land ?
if u had no emotional attachment to ibrox then the smart thing to do would be to knock it down…..but maybe dave king might have no other alternative but then again that would cause a riot with the zombies….has dave king left the building ?

Incompetent board + Incompetent bank lenders + Incompetent SFA / SMSM = Jelly and Ice Cream Moment on the horizon……I hope it happens as that’s all these union jackers deserve….

Here’s a more general question.

WHY 🙂 or more specifically & long-windedly …

WHY oh WHY , after his company went tits up owing (literally) hundreds of millions to BoS & a shortfall in pension funds; then sole the “club” to Patsy Whyte for 1 quid when he knew the financial game was a bogey (a deal he claimed to have been “duped” on), whom even in the LNS whitewash was effectively accused of being uncooperative & a liar, not treated like pariah (like Philip Green), and not only allowed to still keep his title, but also given the go-ahead to start a multi million quid building/housing project on the green belt in Edinburgh without not even a hint of scrutiny in the SMSM?????

In no other country in the world than Scotland, and with no other “club” in the world other than *Rangers, would somebody with a track record like that be allowed to get away with it all scot free.

Another question, but absolutely bugger all to do with any of the above…

If any of the E-Tims regulars are going to MoenchenCutNPaste next week and fancy sharing a pint or 22 of the black-stuff, let me know.

Repeat post…

Another another question question, but totally bulgur all to do with any of the above..

If any E-Tims regulars are planning to be in Moenchencut&paste (or Duffeldorf) next week & fancy sharing a pint or 22 of the black stuff & a chance to slag me rotten afterwards, let me know.

I’m hearing tickets are like Gold dust for Hoops fans over there.

I was booked up but then Airline cancelled booking, so no go sadly. Manchester will be next away trip

Yeah. Only 2.3k allocated to Celtic and >5k wanted to go. I didn’t qualify as you had to have been to at least 5 of last 12 away games in Europe. Tickets very difficult to get hold of – but I’m promised one from a BMG fan – It’s 100% bone-fide – for face valu + Celtic scarf- .

She tells me that if you go to the stadium early there’s always a sizeable number of BMG fans selling their’s (at face value mostly) So if you accept the fact you won’t be in the official Celtic section, then it’s not impossible. I’m in the same corner but more behind the goal,

A question to ask is,who bought Whyte’s 85% shares in old rangers before CVA fail,or is said 85% lying in the mortuary along with said old rangers,,,
Ask if king was to bring old rangers out of liquidation (sic) would they have to reapply for membership to league and if so where would they play home games,,
Ask the question, that at the long shot(sic)THE rangers were to win a trophy would the sfa have to engrave THE rangers on said trophy

The most glaring omission, of who or what is.—-

What did the Tic. Board ken if anything about who and what in answer to the above questions?
What part if any did the Tic. Board do to solicit answers to the above questions?
If they did nout,why?
If they did summit,what?

To answer TonyB’s question (10:48 am)..if the roof collapses and folk are killed the SMSM will print a foto of Broonie eating pizza, or write about a Celtic player who has parked his car in a parking space reserved for disabled people, or find that a rapist/serial killer in the USA has green and white wallpaper..the distractions list is endless for Level 5 and its cohorts.
