FleuraMetz has long since been considered as an important supplier of fresh cut flowers on the East coast of the USA and Canada – but now we are shining brightly in the Sunshine State of Florida!
After months of strategic planning and market research, new Sarasota account manager Darrell King was on hand to personally deliver the first order to Dennis Gill, owner of the Port Charlotte Florist Shop, as our operation went live in locations such as Venice, Sarasota and Bradenton.
Orders can be placed right up until 8pm on a Thursday evening – with the flowers delivered directly to customers on a Monday!
An excited customer base is growing rapidly with new accounts already well into double figures as our outstanding product, iconic brand and market-leading customer service is expanded into a new USA territory.
Darrell has swapped life and the cold in his hometown of Glasgow, Scotland (when would you ever see Fleurametz team members in their shorts there!) for Sarasota with his wife and son and revealed that the only thing that could take his new customers eyes off their stunning fresh flowers direct from Holland was some complimentary Scottish shortbread and Dutch cookies!
Darrell said: “It’s been an amazing mix – a Scotsman supplying Dutch flowers to American customers – but so far we have not needed the services of a translator!
