Yesterday was a typo.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for your kind words yesterday, helped me deal with what was a bit of a shock.<\/p>\n<p>And now, back to the nonsense.<\/p>\n<p>Its odd how we deal with things, another mate of mine found out his wife was having an affair. Give him a loan that isn&#8217;t a loan to avoid paying tax and NI, hide that from HMRC and SFA, cross-fingers etc.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>It appears that Dermot Desmond will be underwriting the salary-or around two thirds of it -and Brendan will pick his money up a Gallowgate bar every second Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The Mail elaborated a wee bit more..<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\" style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Celtic\u00a0hope to unveil Brendan Rodgers as their new manager early next week \u2013 and are willing to hand the former Liverpool boss a \u00a315million budget for transfers and wages to rebuild the squad.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\" style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Rodgers has been offered a salary and benefits package which would make him the highest-paid boss in the club\u2019s history.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\nOne figure mentioned has been \u00a348,000 a week, poor by English standards, but certainly not a poor wage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The bold and decisive move by Celtic to hire a manager with a reputation in Britain is encouraging. It shows that Desmond is now actively involved, especially if he&#8217;s crowdfunding the wage, and we may see an end to the scattergun approach to signing players, and perhaps a little less interference from anyone who doesn&#8217;t have &#8220;Manager , Celtic FC &#8221; on his office door.<\/p>\n<p>Rodgers will command respect amongst the squad, and will no doubt remove swiftly anyone who starts to undermine him.<\/p>\n<p>We hear he&#8217;s already had a word with Kris Commons&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTqeGEdbC0_7VYifMppjdo7QwToAs4OlhrhFkNLU6LNvaGyTXkU\" alt=\"Image result for kris commons injury\" \/><\/p>\n<p>and has warned him about the shape he&#8217;s in&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSn555a1awYnGdEw1rn3A1ESI8ekPdt2t9RbTuGwzi49l6XjZjl\" alt=\"Image result for kris commons injury\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, the man who added bite to Rodger&#8217;s Liverpool side, speaks very highly of his former boss..<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cHe is one of the best coaches in Europe and I am not surprised he is looking to get back in to the game because it is a game he loves.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cI am glad he has taken his time since leaving Liverpool. He should only be looking at the top jobs, with the top clubs, who will be playing Champions League football.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cIf it was not for Brendan, then I know I would not be the same player that you see at Barcelona today.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSuch a big part of my education is down to him and his management.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOf course he works to make the team stronger but he really works on a one to one level with the players.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHe will sit down with each player at the club, and work on where you can improve, where you can exploit opposition, he leaves nothing to chance.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHe is a very intelligent man. If the players at his next club listen to his words, they will become better players for sure.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Already endorsed by one of the worlds best players, it was time to ask one of the worlds best managers what he thought&#8230;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\" style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u2018I worked with him at Watford. I was the academy manager and he came in as manager. So I know Brendan fairly well. He is very organised, very meticulous, very knowledgeable. A good man-manager.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\" style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>&#8216;He almost won the Premier League. He has a good background, coming through the youths with the Chelsea academy and then through Watford and Reading and Swansea and obviously Liverpool. I am sure he will be a big asset for whatever club he joins.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\" style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Warburton said he wouldn\u2019t hesitate to recommend a switch to Scottish football if Rodgers ever sought his view.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/em>No doubt Warburton was the go-to man for Desmond as he sifted through the job applications&#8230;<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Actually, who knows, maybe Rodgers will seek advice from Warburton. How else will he know where to park his car at Ibrox next season ?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Never mind what anyone else thinks. for Celtic to get Rodgers is a declaration of intent.<\/p>\n<p>No more projects, no more rookies.<\/p>\n<p>It looks like, or at least I hope this is what it is, a serious attempt to regain some credibility on the European stage.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s certainly given the support something to look forward to, something to carry us through what otherwise would have been a dull summer dreading the Champions League qualifiers.<\/p>\n<p>Reality is, we really couldn&#8217;t have got much better, and it could even be argued that Desmond has pulled off a coup.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iofbonehealth.org\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/large\/public\/media\/Images\/News\/news-20140716-cow.jpg?itok=eZeuQyFE\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In other news, the hordes of darkness can&#8217;t just sit back and enjoy a Cup final weekend.
