And they can’t tell all of us not to talk about it, because we’d want to know what we can’t talk about, and they can’t tell us, so they have to pretend nothing is happening.

And if no-one tells you not to talk about it because they can’t talk about it, how am i to know that by talking about it , I’m breaching a rule that says I can’t talk about it.

Ridiculous.

Look, either there is an injunction of some kind in place or the media in Scotland are spineless goons who have betrayed the trust of their readers, viewers and listeners by not reporting a major story.

Actually, it doesn’t matter what they are afraid of, but whatever it is it’s got the whole lot of them hiding under their beds hoping it’ll go away.

Which it won’t, and the longer they ignore it, the more they are looking like they , as with the SFA, are also unfit for purpose.

In the meantime, maybe we could ask Ladbrokes and William hill how they feel about their name being seen side by side with alleged corruption ?

Won’t they demand answers ?

David Williams at Ladbrokes is their head of media.

(david.williams@ladbrokes.co.uk)

Over at William hill, who are the Scottish Cup sponsors, you could ask them if they are concerned about allegations of corruption and cheating ahead of their showpiece match.

Jon Ivan-Duke is your man there.

jivan-duke@williamhill.co.uk

Well, if the press aren’t doing it, we’ll have to do it ourselves.

Of late, the press are not covering themselves in glory, and the main offender is the Daily Record, once the biggest selling paper in the country, proudly independent of southern interference and concentrating on Scottish issues.

It’s losing readers at a rate which can only be considered as gross negligence, and it hasn’t helped itself this week.

If you thought the paper had an agenda against all things Celtic, you would probably have found enough in the last two days or so to build a pretty strong case.

Remember this ?

Compare it with this, from Thursday…

Then there was the story about an insensitive Celtic, and Peter Lawwell, and safe standing… which contained out of date quotes, and implied that Celtic should not have made an announcement on the new safe standing area, as the timing , so close to the Hillsborough verdict was somehow “crass and insensitive ” .

Celtic, as we know , have been working on the safe standing area for quite some time, and it was only due to season book renewals , with the new stadium map outlining the area, that anyone noticed.

Of course, though, some people will only see what they want to see.

The story first appeared in the Telegraph, and was picked up and jazzed up by the Record, forcing their editor, Murray Foote, to apologise.

<span style="font-weight: inherit;
