The volume of supporters who have registered their displeasure at their apparent inaction has bewildered the club, and they will react. If everything was tickety boo, then why not come out and say so?<\/p>\n To do that may restore a little faith in those who govern the game, who surely must be feeling a little bit of pressure as accusations are being made that they may not have been entirely honest in their applications of the rules.<\/p>\n If they aren’t feeling any pressure, then that can only be because they genuinely don’t think they have a case to answer, and that in itself means that they really do see themselves as above the law, above accountability and beyond reproach.<\/p>\n Not really how it should be, and not really how they would want to be seen.<\/p>\n After the shennanigans of 2011, and the subsequent bending of rules, one would think the SFA would want to be open, would want to be honest and would want all those accusations dealt with, not only to show they are capable of good governance, but to show they have the games best interests at heart.<\/p>\n A refusal to confirm that they acted correctly when submitting and confirming the application of Rangers ( 1872-2012) for entry into the Champions League suggests that they may have either deliberately or accidentally made an error.<\/p>\n If they have nothing to hide, surely they should show that, and then we can all move on.<\/p>\n Their own personal integrity, and the integrity of the governing body is being called into question, and it is simply not enough for them to answer this by saying<\/p>\n “you can’t make me “<\/p>\n The thing is, they have to realise that somewhere down the line, someone is going to make them, and it would look an awful lot better if they held this enquiry of their own free will, because the longer they procrastinate, then the more it looks like they are afraid of what may be discovered.<\/p>\n As a supporter with an interest in this issue, perhaps you could contact them and demand an enquiry into the events surrounding the granting of a licence to Rangers (1872-2012)<\/p>\n You can ring them… email them or even write to them. Here he has a chance to prove that his primary interest is in the well being of Scottish football. with a show of strength and leadership, leadership that the game is crying out for, he can show that he is a true leader, in chrge of an organisation we can all be proud of, an organisation to take the game forward under his stewardship.<\/p>\n He has an opportunity to grasp a situation which i threatening to spiral out of his control and do untold damage to the game, not only in the yes of sponsors and investors, but in the eyes of supporters anywhere.<\/p>\n By taking firm action, and doing what is right, he can show us that he is indeed a leader worthy of praise, and he can write his name firmly in tha annals of Scottish football with a legacy he can be proud of.<\/p>\n He could be the man who restored our faith in an organisation that at the moment is seen as a little parochial, a little arrogant, and dare i whisper, a little corrupt…<\/p>\n Or you could even tweet him…<\/p>\n Give him encouragement, come on Stewart, show us what you can do ! sort this mess out, and show us there’s nothing to hide….<\/p>\n Point this out to him in your email, be nice, but \u00a0be firm.<\/p>\n Scottish football needs a leader-and Stewart has a chance to be that man.<\/p>\n
