Stewart Regan, to his credit, has answered a couple of the emails that have been sent to him regarding resolution 12.<\/p>\n

I got an answer from Mr Regan believe it or not.<\/em><\/p>\n

After reading below I felt compelled to e-mail you regarding the matter of Resolution 12 which was raised by Celtic FC Shareholders regarding the SFA issuing a UEFA license despite knowing the financial affairs of Glasgow Rangers FC(IL).<\/em><\/p>\n

Why have no answers come from the SFA regarding the matter when clearly there is a very strong feeling amongst football supporters in Scotland? This has long since passed being a group of Celtic fans looking to get one over on their rivals. This has now become a matter of integrity towards your Association and the governance of Scottish Football on the whole. Your organisation has lost a lot of respect and is now being pilloried on well respected and well read Blogs by men and women who now know that the mainstream media is not to be trusted. On the whole the general feeling is that you and your colleagues are not trusted either as fans lose faith. Why have you allowed for this to happen as you sit in silence? Do you understand that this is now gaining momentum that by the very definition of your silence you are making matters worse? Why have you not supplied all the information which has been requested? Is it not about time you now show conviction and respect for Scottish football and the fans, the very lifeblood of the game?<\/em><\/p>\n

Momentum Mr Regan, the unanswered questions are causing momentum. What was a snowball is now slowly but sure turning into an avalanche and I would urge you to put this matter to bed at the earliest opportunity. You are responsible for Scottish Football governance and the ethics the SFA purports to follow. Now is the time to speak with honesty and conviction, Scottish football needs honesty and integrity.<\/em><\/p>\n

The two replies are fairly abrupt. almost, in fact dismissive , in the way that a child is told to stop pestering a parent while they play candy crush on their phones.<\/div>\n

Lets give Regan the benefit of the doubt here. Maybe he is trying to be open and honest, and its maybe our failing in that we are simply not asking the right questions.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Here’s a few we could ask. for the sake of clarification.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
1) In this context, who are “we” ?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Are you referring to the SFA as a whole,or are you referring to one or two members of the association who were delegated to deal with this issue ? \u00a0Or do you refer to the member club as well , and it was , in fact, a collective \u00a0“we” , which included people outside the SFA ? Thus the implication becomes the club and the SFA have sat around the table and reached a mutually satisfactory conclusion.<\/div>\n

2) “Have dealt with this matter “<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Are you confident that the matter has been “dealt with ” to the satisfaction of all parties concerned ? Were you personally involved in the issue,and who, if any, \u00a0were the others involved ?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Are you confident that you have resolved it to the best of your ability to the satisfaction of the SFA ?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
3) Is this , having already “dealt with the matter ” a statement that the SFA now considers the case to be closed ?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
If so, what conclusions were reached ? If not, at what stage will the matter be re-visited?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
4) Will you publish the correspondence with the member club , in the interests of transparency and honesty, so that the rest of us, including shareholders of the member club, \u00a0can also consider the matter to have been dealt with ?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Please include reference to whether or not the member club also view the matter as having been “dealt with “<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I’m quite sure that if enough of us email him these questions, he will reply to as many of them as he can.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Meanwhile, whilst Regan has at least answered, in the loosest possible sense of the word, Celtic have been silent on the matter.<\/div>\n

So, here’s a set of questions for them.<\/div>\n

1) The SFA are saying that the matter has been dealt with. Has it ?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
2) If so, would you care to inform us how it has been dealt with, and also if it has been dealt with to the satisfaction of the board ?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
3) If not, would you care to inform us how you feel it has not been dealt with to the satisfaction of the board, which would imply the solution was not to the satisfaction of the shareholders, as, of course, the board represent the shareholders in such dealings.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
4) Do you now consider the matter to be closed ?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Both parties involved need to be fully aware that this is not going to go away. The media may be silent, but the supporters will not be.<\/div>\n

Scottish football needs to have absolute trust in those charged with the governance of the game.<\/div>\n

Celtic supporters and shareholders need also to have absolute trust in the club’s current stewards.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
