It&#8217;s obviously a huge game for us, but we&#8217;ve got so many other games before that while, of course, Rangers are the same,&#8217;\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\" style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>&#8216;I think both teams will just be focusing on what&#8217;s immediately ahead, Rangers winning their league and us ours. Everyone&#8217;s been on the text (about the semi) already. But that&#8217;s what you want.&#8217;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tctechcrunch2011.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/06\/912accb5_picard-facepalm.png?w=240\" alt=\"\" \/>\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tctechcrunch2011.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/06\/912accb5_picard-facepalm.png?w=240\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tomorrows game, for Celtic fans at least, is now sold out, and its crucial that those in the ground off the park do their bit, as we haven&#8217;t seen anyone on the park willing to help the players lift themselves a gear or two.<\/p>\n<p>Come to think of it, i&#8217;m hoping the relative silence about the game means they are focussed, and they are up for the challenge.<\/p>\n<p>Partick are, as manager Alan Archibald points out;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere\u2019s no longer the same trepidation facing Celtic that you used to feel when they had Henrik Larsson, Chris Sutton and John Hartson,\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cCeltic still have a bigger budget than everyone else but things are a bit more even because the other clubs have improved.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere\u2019s always something to fight for and that\u2019s made a real difference this season.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI\u2019ve never known a league to be as tight as it is now. In our first season back up the bottom half was congested towards the end but it was nothing like this.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYou now need to be in the top six at the split to guarantee avoiding relegation, which is strange.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>An intersting summation, echoing what many of us think. We&#8217;ve downsized, everyone else has upsized and we&#8217;ve now met in the middle. Perhaps the thinking behind buying so many scots players wasn&#8217;t to improve them, but to weaken their original teams.<\/p>\n<p>And make a few quid when they&#8217;re sold.<\/p>\n<p>Its hard not to be a cynic these days, unfortunately, and its up to Celtic to prove us wrong, and that must start tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Six Celts, Gordon, \u00a0Tierney, Mulgrew, Brown, Forrest, and Griffiths have been called up for Scotland, who have a couple of friendlies coming up, and its a great chance for the lads to work with Gordon Strachan, a chance denied to them when the Scotland manager turned down the chance to stand in as manager at Celtic Park until the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe he can give them a wee list of things to do to take back to Lennoxtown with them.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s unclear why Strachan turned the temporary gig down, but thats because I forgot to ask.<\/p>\n<p>The point is, however, Deila is here and everyone needs to get behind him.<\/p>\n<p>For Keiran Tierney, inclusion at international level is just another step forward for his career. and a well deserved one too.<\/p>\n<p>Strachan has been criticised for including him, but if Scotland are to compete in major tournaments again, then he needs to change a few things. The introduction of youth is a great move, and can only benefit the player and the team.<\/p>\n<p>The criticism, unsurprisingly, came from the media who felt that Lee Wallace should have held that berth in the team, but when he&#8217;d finished laughing, Strachan explained his decision;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Don&#8217;t talk shite. &#8220;he told reporters. Probably.<\/p>\n<p>Mind you, he must have been thinking about using that particular response.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, he went with;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\"><em>&#8220;We&#8217;re actually well off for left-sided defenders. It&#8217;s not bad, if you look at it. With Lee Wallace, he would be getting a game if it wasn&#8217;t for Andrew Robertson and Kieran Tierney,&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\">Reading between the lines, its fair to say Strachan would have picked Wallace if he hadn&#8217;t got anyone else.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\"><em>&#8220;Lee is a good player but I have to look at these two for the future. You have to remember where we are strong and where we are weak. Remember where we need to look. What manager\u2019s situation does that best describe?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>The whole world and his auntie thinks it means Ronny Deila but what if the same applies to Warburton?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>Nobody has actually flipped the potential impact of this semi-final around.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>What happens if Rangers go to Hampden and get thumped 4-0 or 5-0 by an average Celtic team? \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com\/736x\/86\/06\/5c\/86065c56dbded1e8b742320402982ab3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Rangers could win but at the same time this under- performing Celtic side could just as easily find their form and go and give Rangers a right hiding.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>If they do it gives Warburton a serious problem.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\nOddly enough, this is the first time the matter has even been considered in the national press, and fair play to Sutton for mentioning it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\">It could destroy any chance Warburton has of the England job. Or even a job in England.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\">Then Sutton really twists the knife, and one or two gullibillies ain&#8217;t gonna be sendoing him no christmas cards after this..<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\"><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I don\u2019t know how much money Dave King has.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Maybe he has an unlimited pot of gold under the bed ready to hand to Warburton when he wins promotion.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>However, what if he doesn\u2019t?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\nI spoke to an Ibrox season book holder, and asked him for his reaction to Sutton&#8217;s comments;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/images-cdn.moviepilot.com\/image\/upload\/c_fill,h_518,w_1000\/t_mp_quality\/10030707_2-mind-blown-best-head-explosions-in-horror-jpeg-66972.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\">It&#8217;s going to be an intersting few weeks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\">The league is by no means won, and although we all wanted a bit of competition, its making us a little nervous now that it&#8217;s here.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\">Suddenly, we&#8217;ll be going to games again, and looking out for another teams results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\">Afterwards, when the title is in the bag, we can look back and laugh, but just now it doesn&#8217;t feel that way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\">Yesterdays caption competition was stolen at the death by Wullie Tracey, with this effort;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ton.twitter.com\/1.1\/ton\/data\/dm\/708225680274800643\/708225680308314113\/XKaRE3gf.jpg:large\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #2c2c2c;\">Right.
