This would allow him to ask a few questions of his own.

Especially where the more contentious game changing events are concerned.
Any post match sensationalism, which is what the tv companies want, could be added to by bringing in referees to do post match summaries so they too can explain their decision making during games when contentious incidents have occurred and they have been forced to make a judgement call that has affected the game as a result.
Give them a good 45 minutes to review and perhaps even re evaluate any wrong call they may have made. Or, indeed, any right call.
This I believe could go a long way to nipping any of the usual conspiracy theories from forming regarding bias and honest mistakes. and it could also cut down on the abuse of the appeal system, when clubs appeal knowing they will lose, but allowing a player to play in an important game.
All to often managers run off at the mouth and end up on a disrepute charge as a result.whereas refs make their calls and that’s the last you hear about it even if they have obviously made a mistake.
Never accountable ,never approachable and ultimately above resolving the matter.
If a ref came out held his hands up and said “Look on review I have called it wrong there and have apologised to the injured party” then most would be able to accept that and move on. It would also earn them a degree of respect that isn’t there at the moment.
This setup needs reviewed as I believe it would allow us all to calm down and move on that wee bit quicker if things were dealt with in a calm rational manner.

More importantly, it would make everyone accountable, and involve a degree of transparency not always apparent in the game.

Just think, a manager and a referee discussing how the game went.

Live on television after they have both prepared their arguments.

And then they could take it in turns to punch Neil McCann or Pat Nevin.

No reason, just because they would be there.

If Celtic are to improve their current PR, they need to take control of the media. A delay in post match interviews will be a start. Even just a few more minutes to allow the boss to compose himself and structure his comments .

Failing that, he could do them in Norwegian.

Charlie Saiz has been thinking about the clubs-and the games-public image… A few days ago I posted regarding my long held views on…

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
