Thanks to @Napoleon_Celtic for sharing a breakdown of Peter Lawwell\u2019s remuneration package at Celtic since 2004. As the quality of the Celtic team is downsized year after year and the supporters expectations similarly downsized by Lawwell and his acolytes, it\u2019s fascinating that the one area at Celtic not downsized is Peter Lawwell\u2019s salary and benefits.<\/p>\n

Celtic\u2019s turnover has fallen, first team quality has fallen, managerial quality has fallen but Peter Lawwell\u2019s overall financial package from Celtic has increased between 600-700%.<\/p>\n

As Martin O\u2019Neill famously said after he took the club to the UEFA Cup Final in 2003: \u201cCeltic will have to get used to life in the slow lane\u201c. He omitted of course, unless you are the chief executive of Celtic.<\/p>\n

Is there any other CEO taking 2% from a PLC companies overall turnover?<\/p>\n

As the quality on the field continues to regress at an alarming rate thanks to the strategy put in place by Peter, we can rest easy knowing our \u201chighly rated\u201d chief executive continues to take \u00a31m a year from Celtic, irrespective of how poor the football team is.<\/p>\n

And as for the ongoing reluctance of Bankier, Lawwell and co to pay all the lowest paid employees at Celtic a living wage of \u00a38.25 per hour (an adult over 21) instead of \u00a36.70 per hour. It must be wonderful knowing your \u00a31m a year is safe while the poorest paid adults on a 35 hour week (many will be on far less hours) only get \u00a312,194 per annum instead of \u00a315,015.<\/p>\n
