I thought it was Mick Jagger who had Sympathy for the Devil.<\/p>\n<p>Ach, she&#8217;ll be happy now she&#8217;s with a younger looking man.<\/p>\n<p>And we should all be happy.<\/p>\n<p>Now and again we get to talk about happy things.<\/p>\n<p>Can you imagine the grief the guy who did the Scottish cup draw got when he picked the wrong Lothian team for Celtic to visit in the next round of the Cup ? He&#8217;ll be the laughing stock of the lodge.<\/p>\n<p>Celtic will face either East Kilbride -there was no way Sevco would be made to go anywhere near the tax people-or Lothian Thistle in the Cup,<\/p>\n<p>Thats what the Cup is all about. The non league side which prevails will have a pay day, possibly even television money, and a good time will be had by all.<\/p>\n<p>And Ronny Deila gets to have a sleepless night before the game imagining all the headlines should it go wrong.<\/p>\n<p>But someone is happy about it. well, if Lothian Thistle prevail , that is<\/p>\n<p>Leigh Griffiths is from that neck of the woods.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t mind going back to Saughton Enclosure and get in those wee tiny changing rooms. It would be an eye opener for some of our boys. I don\u2019t think Tyler Blackett would be particularly happy swapping Old Trafford for Saughton Enclosure.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cIt was my field of dreams, definitely, when I was a kid. That\u2019s where you played most of the cup finals and, for Hutchie Vale, it was basically a home game for us.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cI\u2019ve won a few games there in my time. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve lost, actually \u2013 and I don\u2019t want to start now.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cMy scoring record there is not bad. I was pretty much a goal machine when I was younger, scoring five, six, seven a game.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t say I\u2019m going to score that amount again. But it would nice to be back on the scoresheet there.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cMy sister\u2019s boyfriend, Stephen McKenzie, is one of the coaches there and one of my best mates Matthew, his big brother is Fraser Ogilvie, below, one of the coaches there \u2013 and he used to be at Hibs with Scott Brown.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cSo there will be an added incentive with those two to get us in the next round.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\nThe Saughton Enclosure ?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Not the most attractive sounding ground.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSpSbzZeCAgz0AJYsWXxiIxOdJHa7KwRaiYj_-seT7DaqKp-MTO\" alt=\"Image result for prison\" \/><\/p>\n<p>East Kilbride are gutted that they have been told they cannot play the game at their own ground, K park, so small it hasn&#8217;t even giot room for a whole word above the gate.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Mark Horner explained;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cI don\u2019t know how much money it would be worth to us, But it would be life-changing for the club.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">East Kilbride are just six years old, and it looks again like the guy doing the draw made an arse of it when he was told to make sure the new club got a home game with Celtic because they need the money.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cWe don\u2019t know where we would play it if we got through. I believe we can\u2019t have it at K-Park, according to the security people. I don\u2019t know where we could hold it, we haven\u2019t looked into that or got that far. But it would be worth several years\u2019 money for us and it would change the profile too. It would take the club to a new level. It would enable us to do so much. A lot of people in East Kilbride still get us mixed up with the junior side. They don\u2019t understand the pyramid system. So it would let people know where we are and what we can achieve.\u201d \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Hamilton is the closest league ground to East Kilbride, so the game, should the Lanarkshire team get through, may take place there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">After all, its not like the Premier league side will be using it that day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">The tie of the round will be in Edinburgh again, where Hearts face Hibernian, and should the Tynecatle side go on to win the cup, which they do quite often, they will have deserved it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">The full draw is;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Motherwell v Stirling Albion or Inverness<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>East Kilbride or Lothian Thistle v\u00a0<a class=\" u-underline\" style=\"color: #005689;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/football\/celtic\" data-link-name=\"auto-linked-tag\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\">Celtic<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Dundee United v Partick<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Dunfermline or Ross County v Linlithgow or Forfar<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Rangers v Kilmarnock<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Annan v Greenock Morton<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Dumbarton v Dundee or Falkirk<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Hearts v Hibernian\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0The club have released a statement and taken action after the pyrotechnic display against Stranraer on Sunday;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"contentStructure\" style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<ul class=\"contentStructure\" style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<li class=\"wideCol\">\n<div class=\"newsText\">\n<div class=\"rtearea\">\n<p><em>CELTIC Football Club today announced that it has identified three individuals connected with the use of pyrotechnics during the Club\u2019s match against Stranraer yesterday (Sunday).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>These individuals will be suspended indefinitely from attending Celtic matches and the Club\u2019s investigations will continue.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Yesterday\u2019s events have again caused embarrassment to Celtic and our supporters. On numerous occasions Celtic has stated its strong opposition to the use of pyrotechnics but regrettably again, a very small number of individuals, within a ticket allocation of 2,500, have damaged the Club.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We should be very clear. Those responsible simply do not care about our Club, our reputation or the safety of our fans and we do not want them at our matches.\u00a0The Club will be reviewing its ticket allocation procedures to ensure that this matter is addressed. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Ensuring the safety of our supporters and staff is always of paramount importance to Celtic Football Club. If such behaviour was to continue, the reality is it would only be a matter of time before serious injury is caused. However, we will not allow safety to be compromised by the actions of a tiny minority.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We have been inundated again by our supporters following yesterday\u2019s events and those fans can rest assured that this issue will be dealt with in the strongest terms. We cannot and will not allow this minority to destroy the magnificent reputation which our fans have earned over many years.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters who travelled to Stranraer and positively supported the team. Your support is greatly appreciated.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>No messing about, and neither should there be. Its not just about the flares, or the singing. There is an element of the support who have an attitude that they can do what they like. I&#8217;ve come across it at games, and it would be fair to say I&#8217;m not the only one.<\/p>\n<p>Stewart Regan, the SFA chief , \u00a0anxious to talk about anything that isn&#8217;t corruption or collusion, jumped on the bandwagon;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u00a0\u201cIt is idiotic behaviour because it\u2019s dangerous and flares in particular can threaten people\u2019s lives.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cWhen you see what has happened at the weekend it makes you realise we can\u2019t continue accepting this as a matter of course \u2013 somebody is going to get injured.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cWhat I wouldn\u2019t want is for an incident to happen that forces us to change.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cI would rather the members themselves \u2028recognised that this kind of behaviour is dangerous and we need to try and do \u2028something about it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cWhen you see the damage some of these flares can do \u2013 with the intensity of the heat when they come into contact with \u2028individuals \u2013 they are really life threatening.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cWe can\u2019t stand back and allow it to go on. We need a grown-up conversation and we need to do something about it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cTo change the rules needs the will of the members and an appetite for change. That will be on the agenda for discussion in the next few weeks.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.action-man-dossier.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/arc-extreme-scene.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Grown up conversation ?<\/p>\n<p>We hear it&#8217;ll take place as soon as the SFA find someone to represent them at that level.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as I saw Stewart Regan had said these words;<\/p>\n<p><em style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">When you see the damage some of these flares can do\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I immediately checked to see if there were any statistics, or even a couple of stories about incidents. I&#8217;m not suggesting that Regan is capable of not telling the truth, i&#8217;m telling you he is.<\/p>\n<p>And lo, there are plenty of reports about &#8220;potential danger &#8221; , and &#8220;risk &#8220;, but no actual stories of injury. Although i&#8217;ve no doubt they are out there, its just that Regan refers to having &#8220;seen &#8221; the damage, which he probably hasn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>Any more than he saw the blatant cheating by one club transfer over to some dogdy dealings by another.<\/p>\n<p>Now, don&#8217;t get me wrong. a hundred years ago, on November 5, I was in the jungle when Celtic beat Rapid Vienna, and i saw a lassie screaming when someone put a firework in her pocket ( not a euphanism ) so I&#8217;m not for a moment suggesting that they should be allowed, but is Regan the right person to deal with it ?<\/p>\n<p>On account of him being bloody useless ?<\/p>\n<p>I was going to raise the issue with him, but he&#8217;s blocked me on twitter.<\/p>\n<p>A bit like the daily Record have with the Etims account.<\/p>\n<p>How will we go on without access to the frank and fearless reporting associated with that newspaper ?<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s only so many times I can go to the barbers in a week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Remember we said that Tom Rogic hadn&#8217;t got round to siging his new deal, and didn&#8217;t seem overly fussed about it ?<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll see what that Leeds to&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em><b>ROGIC A \u2018MAJOR TARGET\u2019<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>Socceroo Tom Rogic has awoken from his Celtic injury nightmare this season, starting all but three Scottish league games and scoring five goals.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>But could he be set to revive one of England\u2019s sleeping giants this January?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>The 23-year-old has emerged as one of Leeds United\u2019s top transfer targets this window, according to the\u00a0Yorkshire Evening Post.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"newsStoryAdLarge\">\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>Manager Steve Evans, who is Scottish, sees Rogic as \u201ca natural number 10\u201d and believes he could get his man for approximately \u00a31 million.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>Leeds have already acquired two loan players this window, with Liam Bridcutt and Mustapha Carayol arriving from Sunderland and Middlesbrough respectively.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"newsStoryAdLarge\">\u00a31m ? On 22 nd December on the way downtown I felt the need to stop three times to catch my breath, but largely dismissed it; on the way back about 10:15 pm after a pub quiz with my daughter I felt uneasy, not ill but just a little odd.\u00a0 I used the phone at the bus stop to contact 911 for advice and was given very specific instructions:\u00a0 find a seat at the bus shelter, loosen any tight clothing, try to relax and the paramedics will be there shortly.\u00a0 I was reasssured\u00a0I had done the right thing in phoning.\u00a0 Two or three minutes later a police car came racing round, having been listening in;\u00a0 the officer waited with me in the shelter until the ambulance arrived about five minutes later.\u00a0 Oxygen, blood pressure, temperature, questions etc and off to Emergency at the Civic Hospital.\u00a0\u00a0 More tests, questions and a recommended stay overnight&#8230; a suggestion of some abnormalities, and and angiogram which indicated that the three main arteries delivering blood to the heart wereoperating at 50, 30 and 10% efficiency and that a triple by-passs was in order very soon.\u00a0 The cardiac surgeon indicated that without the interventions already started &#8216;a major cardiac incident&#8217; would have taken place within hours.<\/em><br clear=\"none\" \/><em>So, I was very lucky.\u00a0 I had the by-pass on Christmas Day, and have been making good &#8211; if sluggish &#8211; progress since.\u00a0 I left the Heart Institute about a week after the operation, and decided to spend the next two weeks here at a Senior Residence as a rehab patient;
