Friend of the Site, The Holy Poet wrote and asked for some help along with a piece on his CSCs contribution to modern Celtic folklore….enjoy the tale below, and if you can help, please tell Rod to get back in touch…<\/p>\n

I wonder if you can help our Club out.\u00a0 It was the West London CSC who went onto the One Show the other night, the BBC contacted me the day before to organise it.\u00a0 After meeting Rod, he agreed to me asking if he would be our Honorary President — but the BBC ushered him out the door before I could give him contact details.\u00a0 Can you advise me how to get in touch please?\u00a0 Is Twitter the best bet? Anyway here is the poem and just finished it a couple of minutes ago. – The Holy Poet<\/p>\n

The Honorary President and his West London CSC. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 6<\/strong>th<\/sup> November 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n

(featuring Emma and Hector).<\/em><\/p>\n

Resplendent in his bold checked suit, Rod took centre stage<\/p>\n

Our new Honorary President caused uproar, panic, rage<\/p>\n

Our man was in no hurry, he was with his Ghirls and Bhoys<\/p>\n

And The One Show\u2019s introduction was drowned out by Celtic\u2019s voice.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We were huddled in position as the clock was counted down<\/p>\n

They asked us to be vocal so Celtic\u2019s voices went to town<\/p>\n

The One Show was to witness, their greatest intro heard or seen<\/p>\n

As Rod led off our London Club with \u201cCome On You Bhoys in Green\u201d!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When Rod\u2019s your choirmaster, if he sings, you sing along<\/p>\n

There\u2019s nothing that makes us more proud than singing Celtic songs<\/p>\n

But the director of the BBC was furious, enraged<\/p>\n

\u201cThey sound like a shower of football hooligans\u201d, his words quoted on this page!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s their \u201cvocal\u201d and our \u201cvocal\u201d, we\u2019ll agree to disagree<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t hold back when Rod\u2019s in charge even on the BBC<\/p>\n

It was a privilege to have sung with him, our Club was live, on air,<\/p>\n

So Rod, if you ever need a backing group, this West London Club is there!<\/p>\n

But a Government Inspector came incognito, in disguise<\/p>\n

Appearing from our Emma\u2019s hands, he peered out from her thighs<\/p>\n

This was not a cardboard cut-out, this was really him<\/p>\n

And confessed his name was Hector and yes I am a Tim.<\/p>\n

Back on the couch Rod spoke to me when the cameras weren\u2019t around<\/p>\n

Of our tactics against Aberdeen then of Strachan\u2019s Celtic, Brown<\/p>\n

And after he signed our shirts, he said we\u2019ll have a chat and more<\/p>\n

But our new Honorary President was quickly ushered out the door.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Alas he cannot contact us, he has no details of our Club<\/p>\n

But he can find us in The Horse Guardsman, a quaint wee Brentford pub<\/p>\n

It\u2019d be great if he could get in touch so if you see Rod let him know<\/p>\n

That West London\u2019s famous CSC will give him a Celtic show.<\/p>\n
