The North american Association of supporters clubs alone testifies to the interest in the club abroad.<\/p>\n \u00a0By setting up a franchise, possibly in Boston or New York, there is an enormous potential to tap into third or fourth generation Irish, who are noted for their love of the old country.<\/p>\n Well, if we can’t get the money from television, its obvious we need to look elsewhere.<\/p>\n The Celtic Nation experiment in England failed, largely because the Carlisle base was perhaps a little to close to the real Celtic.<\/p>\n That wouldn’t be the case in the US, and although it would be seen as some as a pale imitation of the real thing, there’s a chance that it could also hbecome a home from home for the exiles. somewhere that they could meet up, in the way their ancestors did at the real Celtic park, to find like minded souls and forge new friendships.<\/p>\n All of this would raise money, which could be used to help Celtic reach its full potential<\/p>\n I want Celtic to reach that \u00a0potential in my lifetime, let’s rebuild the main stand, get a team on the park who can reach the Champions league quarter finals at least every year, the time has come to raise this club to where we belong.<\/p>\n \n So Desmond and Lawwell get your passports out and make this happen. This is something I have always wanted the Celtic board to pursue as this could unlock the revenue streams denied to us by a decent broadcasting deal.<\/p>\n
Some have said on here that Celtic is only a big club in Scotland, I think that is a lot of shite and I’ll use Sir Alex Ferguson as an example.<\/p>\n
