Now !"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As you may have noticed, the governments plan to take even more money from the poor and add to their general misery failed yesterday, as the House Of Lords awoke from it&#8217;s slumber and voted to delay the cuts to tax credits, the supplementary wage given to enable business to pay peanuts.<\/p>\n<p>Well, most of them did.<\/p>\n<p>Have a look at who voted to keep the cuts;<\/p>\n<table style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<tbody style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\" data-generic-id=\"email-address\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\" data-generic-id=\"email-address\">Anyhoo, \u00a0man of the moment Keiran Tierney has been talking to the papers. And he&#8217;s keeping his feet on the ground.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\" data-generic-id=\"email-address\">Despite the support calling for his immediate instatement in the first team, and the lynching of long time servant Emilio Izaguirre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\" data-generic-id=\"email-address\">And I thought I was fickle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\" data-generic-id=\"email-address\">Tierney spoke highly of the man he appears to view as his mentor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>&#8220;Emilio is a great player. He has played in the Champions League and World Cup so I still have a long way to go.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>&#8220;He has great experience and he has been great with me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>&#8220;I still look up to him and I talk to him at training and he gives me tips.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>&#8220;It was my fourth start of the season. Emilio has played in big competitions so I still have a long way to go.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>&#8220;I need to keep on working on all my weaknesses.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>&#8220;I have had meetings with John Collins and John Kennedy which have been great.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>&#8220;They tell you the positives and also the negatives you need to work on and I do that after training.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>&#8220;But I have been absolutely delighted with the faith the manager has put in me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>&#8220;He threw me into some big games at such a young age which has been absolutely great.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Tierney is the first youngster to make the breakthrough solely under Ronny Deila. Hopefully he won&#8217;t be rushed. We&#8217;ve seen too many of the next big thing tyoe burnt out and playing at a lower level to not understand that maybe a few games in, then a few out, and a gradual introduction to a first team berth is the way to handle this.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">He&#8217;s realistic enough, and seemingly mature enough, to understand this.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;There are full-backs I model myself on and you can take a part from the top players in the big leagues.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I looked at Roberto Carlos when I was younger so I try to play the same game as he did, which is obviously attacking.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;He wasn&#8217;t afraid to shoot and he was a good defender as well.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Attacking is a very big part of my armoury, especially the way the manager wants to play.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;But I need to do it for 90 minutes. As you saw yesterday I was kind of tired at the end so I need to get that out of my game and try to last 90 minutes easily.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If he does that, he&#8217;ll be the first Celtic player to do it this season.<\/p>\n<p>The other defender who caught the eye on Sunday was Croatian Jozo Simunovic, who turned in a calm and composed performance hoping to head off Jozo the Bozo taunts.<\/p>\n<p>This rhyming couplet, the type used in terracing songs and chants, which may have been the reason Celtic never signed Noel Hunt, could lead to the sort of tag that was attributed to Rafael Scheidt, although that wsn&#8217;t really a rhyme, more a sort of CV.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, big Jozo seems happier now;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">\u00a0<em>&#8220;I feel great to be back. It happened at training and the healing was long but now that is behind me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>&#8220;It was very hard to be out. There was nothing I could do about it but I worked really hard to get back. Now I want to show what I can do and help my team as much as I can.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Short and to the point. The kind of player who does his talking on the park ? Hope so.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Oh, wait. He hasn&#8217;t finished. On the Dundee United game he said;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<em>\u201cI don\u2019t think the game against Dundee United was too easy. Maybe it looked a little bit different when you were watching from outside of the park.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cBut I think the match did show if we are 100 per cent on our game, we win 5-0. Every game that we are 100 per cent we should win.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt was the same pressure as we had at Dinamo. You are two times better than the players at other teams in the league but when you come to something better like Champions League or Europa League, then you can sometimes have a problem.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThat is normal because you maybe don\u2019t have as much incentive in your own league.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cDinamo is much better than the other teams in the Croatian League \u2013 far, far better.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPlayers know this and they hear it but they can\u2019t spend their time thinking and pondering this fact.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe Scottish league is much more positive than the Croatian League.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMore people follow football\u2028 here. It is also two different styles of football, so it is hard to find the comparison.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cIt seems that footballers work much harder here and everything is on a higher level.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cDinamo is behind me. What they do is not hard for me. I am here and I am focused on Celtic.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The first few lines actually make a bit of sense. Althoug it is worrying he found that game hard, he has a point. Was it his hard work and concentration that made it easy ? Probably not, Dundee United are terrible, and the SPFL are already considering relegating them two divisions \u00a0instead of one, to help them develop the next generation of Celtic signings.<\/p>\n<p>But , reading between the lines, have we a defender who can concentrate for ninety minutes ? That would certainly be a novelty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">\u201c<em>It took a while to play at Celtic Park but I loved it. I really enjoyed\u2028it and I am looking forward to each new game.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cIt is beautiful to be here playing in the stadium. They&#8217;ll put him right about that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Manager Ronny Deila, no doubt pleased that the calls for his head have abated slightly, looked ahead to a potentially difficult cup tie at Tynecastle tomorrow, the third game between the two in three tournaments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">He&#8217;s getting used to the press;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #3f3f3f;\"><em>\u201cOne day we are talking about how bad Celtic are; this week people will want me to talk about winning the Treble I think we will take one game at a time now, that is the most important thing and just try to win as many as possible. In the end we can see where we are when the games have all been played.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #3f3f3f;\"><em>\u201cI will say the same this year \u2013 I want to win everything. But I know how hard it is. It is a long, long way before we start talking about that.
