Is Nesbitt ready to come in? He has to be ready.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\"><em>&#8220;Stefan didn\u2019t play in his first two years at Stromsgodset because he was behind Mohammed Abu who was the Player of the Year in Norway. But he just kept working hard and when Abu went to play in Germany Stefan was ready to take over and the next year he was even better than Abu.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\"><em>&#8220;So it\u2019s not about \u2018I need to play\u2019, you have to make yourself deserve it. And if you can\u2019t handle competition then you are nothing at Celtic,&#8221; \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\">Could Johansen be the next to leave ? Or am I seeing something that isn&#8217;t there ?<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\">Although , in truth, there will always be players leaving for the wealthier climes of the south. To improve not only their bank balance, but there game, if you are to believe Virgil van Dijk, who has all of a sudden started to learn his trade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\">Or was he taken out of context ?<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\">Inside Futbol may be a little more accurate when they report his response to being called up to the dutch national squad&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\"><em>&#8220;I&#8217;m\u00a0not sure if my transfer played a major role, but I am now playing at a higher level and I will be looked at.\u00a0&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\">A little more diplomatic, and it&#8217;s clear that van Dijk is determined to represent his country. He certainly has all the personality traits, or disorders, \u00a0of most dutch footballers, so he should be fine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\">Celtic are still, somewhat incredibly, interested in bringing Carlton Cole to the club, although there is talk of a possible loan move for James wilson, who is struggling to break into the Manchester United first team. With a couple of Old trafford youngsters already trying to break into the Celtic first team, perhaps the old boy-or young boy-network will mean the striker will end up in Glasgow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\">But please, not on loan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\">It doesn&#8217;t always take a new signing to add a wee bit extra to a team. sometimes the return of a player can do that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #222222;\">Stuart Armstrong made a welcome return to the side from the bench against Hamilton, and he&#8217;s looking forward to getting back to work on a more regular basis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cIt\u2019s quieter around the training ground but it\u2019s nice to have a few days focusing on getting my fitness back. Earlier in the season, I came back and it was too soon, so then we made the decision not to rush and be patient.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cThis is an important time for me because we don\u2019t have a game for another week and a half, so that\u2019s good for me to build up slowly.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\"><em>\u201cBeing injured is never fun and very frustrating. I\u2019ve never been good at it. The bad timing as well with the Aberdeen game, the Ajax game and Scotland trip made it upsetting but these things happen and you learn to live with it. It\u2019s nice to be back. Even just for a couple of minutes against Fenerbahce and then a little more at Hamilton and I hope to fully get back soon and play my part.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Still can&#8217;t put my finger on what he brings to the team exactly, but we&#8217;re a better side with him than without him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">The final international break gives management and non participating players a chance to rest up and assess the situation so far.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Or , of course, they can just let their hair down for a few days;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Either is good.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">and it could give our new centre half time to get up to speed&#8230;.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 244px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-7884-1\" width=\"244\" height=\"160\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/etims.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/new-defender.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/etims.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/new-defender.mp4\">https:\/\/etims.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/new-defender.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p style=\"color: #2c2c2c;\">Away from all that, the club have raised a few quid for the refugees currently fleeing war zones to Europe;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>CELTIC joined forces with the European Club Association (ECA) and decided to donate 1Euro from every ticket sold for the Celtic v Fenerbahce match on Thursday, October 1, to assist with providing emergency aid to those affected by the current refugee crisis in Europe.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>The heartbreaking scenes which have been seen globally have shown that millions of people have now been forced to flee their homes and risk the safety of their families.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>The club was delighted to be one of the first clubs to respond to this appeal and following the match last week, we can confirm that the magnificent sum of\u00a0<strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">\u00a330,445.67\u00a0<\/strong>will now be donated to help the many thousands of people facing such difficulties.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: \u201cFor many weeks now, we have watched in horror and sadness as this crisis has developed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cClearly we are not able to comprehend what these people, in their thousands, and of all ages are going through, but we felt compelled to help in any way we can.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cCeltic was formed in 1888 to help people in need and our strong social dimension will always be fundamental to what we are.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cWe are pleased and proud that today these values remain such an important part of our ethos.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cCeltic is delighted to be a part of the European Club Association and we were very pleased to be part of this ECA initiative.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe scale of this crisis is so great, however we hope this significant donation can provide some positive assistance to people affected.\u201d \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Thats what the club is all about, and the money raised here, and through other appeals, is often ignored by the media. but it&#8217;s the money that counts, not the publicity.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s another one next month, which deserves a mention;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>CELTIC FC Foundation are delighted to kick off the inaugural \u2018Celtic Sleep Out\u2019 fundraising event!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>It will take place on Saturday, November 14, at Celtic Park and is an integral element of our 2015 Christmas Appeal, which will be formally launched in the coming weeks.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Participants will spend the night \u2013 from 10.00pm to 6.00am &#8211; under the stars in Paradise, along the trackside area in front of the Main Stand, looking on to the hallowed turf.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>All we ask is that you commit to raising a minimum of \u00a3125 (after entry fee) for Celtic FC Foundation\u2019s 2015 Christmas Appeal.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Registration is now open and you can sign up\u00a0<a style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #009850;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/celtic-sleep-out-2015-registration-18867299601\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Fair enough, showing them on tv actually makes a bit of sense, as many supporters won&#8217;t be able to make the long trip to the small grounds, but just after noon , on a Sunday, to Inverness. ?<\/p>\n<p>Imagine me toddling off to that one, and at say nine am, after a morning inspection, the game is called off.
