{"id":7810,"date":"2015-09-22T10:22:07","date_gmt":"2015-09-22T09:22:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/etims.net\/?p=7810"},"modified":"2015-09-22T10:22:07","modified_gmt":"2015-09-22T09:22:07","slug":"celtic-diary-tuesday-september-22-everybodys-happy-nowadays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/etims.net\/?p=7810","title":{"rendered":"Celtic Diary Tuesday September 22: Everybody&#8217;s Happy Nowadays !"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>And what&#8217;s not to be happy about.<\/p>\n<p>Those of a pessimistic nature may feel that something will come along to derail the Deila Express now that it appears to have got back on the rails, but I can&#8217;t see it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/BuasOiuCMAAKw2P.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And even of it did, such is the general feeling of delight around celtic Park just now, we probably wouldn&#8217;t recognise it.<\/p>\n<p>Following on from the highly creditable result in Amsterdam, where ten man celtic held out for a crucial away point in the imposing Arena against an Ajax side currentl;y blazing a trail at the top of the Eredivisie, Celtic produced their best performance of the season, and probab;y last season as well, with a 6-0 destruction of a Dundee side that might as well have stayed on the bus.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the somewhat original refereeing of Steven MacLean, and a superb performance between the sticks from Scott Bain, \u00a0who could yet travel the worn tarmac of the old Dundee Glasgow road himself, Celtic showed just why it&#8217;s right to stick with the Deila formula.<\/p>\n<p>And there&#8217;s nothing wrong with that.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brentwoodgazette.co.uk\/images\/localworld\/ugc-images\/276429\/Article\/images\/20439620\/5705457-large.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Naidr Ciftci scored twice, but under new SFA rules, new Celtic signings can only score once in the game where they break their duck, so a reluctant McLean was forced to rule one of them out. Yep, we might finally have a striker to compliment Leigh Grifiths, and offer something a little different up front when need be.<\/p>\n<p>Once more, we now have an option up front. So there&#8217;s no need to go looking elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.footballleagueworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/3223070347.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the contract front, there was even more good news when the Daily Express reported that Nir Biton is about to sign a new, improved deal.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, it&#8217;s the Daily Express, but it might still be true.<\/p>\n<p>Then there&#8217;s new signing Tom Rogic&#8230;alright he&#8217;s been here a while, but the recent run in the team and his response to the managers faith has brought truly astounding results. don&#8217;t take my word for it.<\/p>\n<p>Have a look at what they are saying in Australia, although to be fair in a land where if you don&#8217;t eat it , it will eat you, they probably do need something to cheer about.<\/p>\n<div class=\"story-intro\" style=\"color: #262626;\">\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em><strong>GOOD news Socceroos fans, Tom Rogic can only get better!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>That\u2019s what Ange Postecoglou has claimed, after the young midfielder produced a man of the match display in Celtic\u2019s 6-0 romp of Dundee FC in the Scottish Premier League.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>Scoring for the third time in six league games to start the new season, Rogic was said to have \u201chis best well ahead of him\u201d by Socceroos boss Postecoglou, and<b>\u00a0Roo Radar\u00a0<\/b>certainly hopes he is on the money.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>Rogic was pleased with his performance, his 14th minute goal the catalyst for Celtic\u2019s comprehensive win before adding an assist two minutes later.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>\u201cFor me to score, it could not have gone better,\u201d said the 22-year-old after the game. \u201cI could have had a few more. It wasn\u2019t to be but it was still good to get on the scoresheet and hopefully there are more to come.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>\u201cI felt really good out there. I am just trying to build on the start to the season and keep progressing and improving. The manager has given me a lot of confidence to play in this team and it\u2019s easy to play around so many good players.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #262626;\"><em>And the good news is, Rogic feels fit and healthy.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I\u2019m feeling really good at the moment. Physically it\u2019s probably the best I have felt in a while and I\u2019m hoping to build on that,\u201d he told Celtic\u2019s website.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Rogic and Postecoglou weren\u2019t the only ones pleased with the young Aussie\u2019s display. The<b><a style=\"color: #3a7cab;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.celticfc.net\/news\/9139\" target=\"_blank\">official Celtic website<\/a><\/b>\u00a0awarded him man of the match, with the\u00a0<b><a style=\"color: #3a7cab;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/sport\/football\/football-news\/tom-rogic-flies-flag-aussies-6485021\" target=\"_blank\">Scottish Daily Record<\/a><\/b>describing it as Rogic\u2019s \u201cbest-ever display\u201d for Celtic, the Aussie \u201cspell-binding in the heart of the Hoops attack.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><b><a style=\"color: #3a7cab;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/scotsol\/homepage\/sport\/spl\/celtic\/6650697\/None-of-us-even-asked-how-Dons-were-doing.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Scottish Sun\u00a0<\/a><\/b>was similarly lavish in its praise of Rogic, calling his performance \u201csensational\u201d, with the former Central Coast Mariner \u201c(leading) the way as Ronny Deila\u2019s men outclassed Paul Hartley\u2019s side at Parkhead\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><b><a style=\"color: #3a7cab;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.scotsman.com\/sport\/football\/latest\/five-things-we-learned-from-scottish-premiership-1-3893865\">The Scotsman<\/a><\/b>\u00a0declared \u201cCeltic have another option in the number 10 role\u201d, reporting that Rogic \u201cgenerally caused chaos in the Dundee defence\u201d, with Stephen Halliday writing Rogic was \u201cwas instrumental in a Celtic performance which was vibrant and dominant from the start\u201d. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>See, it&#8217;s all good. The ship is getting up steam and we&#8217;re all aboard singing.
