We’ll leave the Diana jokes out , I guess. eighteen years is probably too soon. But it’s only fair to offer a thought for poor old Prince Harry, the ginger one. He’s been moved down a spot to fifth in line for the throne, which he shouldn’t really moan about.<\/p>\n

One DNA test would move him off it altogether.<\/p>\n

They’ve named the new baby, after that bird in Geordie shore, which was a bit of a surprise. Would have been better to call it Elizabeth Paris Mercedes. blending modernity with history and also making it easier to explain what happened to granny.<\/p>\n

The baby came into the world at 3.7 kilogrammes, which is \u00a0about 3 million pounds to the taxpayer.<\/p>\n

Back at the football, and Scott Brown has been looking back on clinching four in a row;<\/p>\n

\u201cI was in the house watching the scores coming in and I was delighted All the lads were on a group chat together, sending messages back and forwards congratulating each other.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was weird, but Friday night football was good as well. We got a great reception outside the ground, there was a good crowd and the lads were brilliant from start to finish and scored five goals.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was hard for us to start with this season but at the end of it we got what we deserved. It was a good challenge from Aberdeen all the way.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone automatically just thinks we will win the league but it\u2019s hard to go out and win those games week in, week out, especially in Europe as well. The Sunday Post, a newspaper which clings desperately to . er, a conservative and some may say Pilgrim lifestyle-the Pilgrims who were a little strict on lifestyles, so strict, in fact, they all jumped on a ship to the new world when the government of the time wouldn’t let them be as strict as they wanted to be, are doing one of those expose type stories which , to be honest, isn’t usually associated with the paper.<\/p>\n

A financial watchdog is investigating payments between a number of public bodies and Celtic Football Club.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Audit Scotland\u2019s probe centres on the club\u2019s north of Glasgow training HQ built in 2007.<\/em><\/p>\n

They are examining a paper trail between the club, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and East Dunbartonshire Council over the state-of-the-art \u00a38.5 million facility.<\/em><\/p>\n

The council is said to have paid the football giants a significant sum over the last 18 months to allow members of the public limited access to the training ground. But the facility is only available for use on limited occasions.<\/em><\/p>\n

Council officials have cited \u201ccommercial reasons\u201d as their reason for refusing to disclose figures behind the service-level agreement.<\/em><\/p>\n

Audit Scotland became involved after receiving a number of complaints about value-for-money public spending.<\/em><\/p>\n

A spokesman for Audit Scotland said: \u201cWe have received several letters on this subject. As such, we have a team of local auditors who are making enquiries into this matter.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Wonder of any of those letters had a Larkhall postmark, and perhaps the enquiry should centre on who wrote it for him.<\/p>\n

Council officials say the public are allowed to use some of the pitches on Wednesday evenings and at some points during the summer.<\/em><\/p>\n

The council inherited the deal from the Lennoxtown Initiative, a non-profit body set up by the council and the NHS to regenerate the area in 2002.<\/em><\/p>\n

Thomas Glen, Director of Development and Regeneration at East Dunbartonshire Council, said, \u201cEast Dunbartonshire Council is a partner on the Lennoxtown Initiative which had a service-level agreement with Celtic Football Club to allow for community access to the Lennoxtown facility.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Council provided \u00a368,377.20 in September, 2013, to support the delivery of this agreement. We fully support Audit Scotland in any responsible monitoring of the public pound.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

A spokeswoman for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde confirmed it is co-operating with auditors.<\/em><\/p>\n

Their spokesman said: \u201cWe are aware that Audit Scotland are looking into this matter and have supplied them with all the relevant information that they have asked for.\u201d \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
