From Africa to Tokyo the sounds of the Ronny Roar hit the air as Celtic clinched their fourth consecutive title. after the 5-0 destruction of dundee on Friday night, reckoned by many to be the best performance of the season-I don’t know, I missed it-Aberdeen had to beat Dundee united to keep the race alive.<\/p>\n

However, a first half strike from Robbie Muirhead had Tims everywhere keeping an eye on evelopments, and just before five o’clock, the job was done, and the celebrations began…<\/p>\n

But first, a word of thanks to Muirhead, and as with Albert Kidd in 86, maybe he’ll be remembered fondly by the support. Perhaps even a CSC or two will bear his name.<\/p>\n

Come on, it’s the least we can do.<\/p>\n

Ronny himself was over in Norway on family business, which means he’ll be looking at these headlines this morning..<\/p>\n

You don’t really need to be able to speak norwegian to get the gist of the headline.<\/p>\n

And I have to admit it, thats exactly how it was for some of us.<\/p>\n

At first, it was difficult to see what Ronny was trying to achieve, and even when it became clear as to what the plan was, doubts emerged over whether it would work.<\/p>\n

There had been a successful side in place, and I didn’t see any real need for change. Ronny changed it, and the results were horrific.<\/p>\n

Tony Mowbray was long gone, but the images were returning , that of a man standing motionless at the side of the pitch wondering first of all how he got into this mess, and then trying to work out how to get out of it.<\/p>\n

Ronny stuck to his guns, and eventually won over the players. Then he went to work on the fans, and now, nearly a year since he got the job, he has more than earned any accolades coming his way.<\/p>\n

In fact, he’s probably worked harder than any other Celtic manager that I can remember. And I reckon that if you cut him open you’d find a rod of steel where his spine should be.<\/p>\n

So, from all of me, to all of him.<\/p>\n

You can tell the supports happy. One old dear down the road from me, despite one of her brood giving birth yesterday, took time out to celebrate regardless of what people thought.<\/p>\n

She did a mean version of the Foggy Dew after a couple of scoops, and many present reckoned it was even better than Sinnead O’connor’s.<\/p>\n

Anyhoo, back to the manager, and he was chuffed with the days events, and showed again the camraderie between cpatain and boss with this tweet, which i’m certain is genuine ..<\/p>\n
