{"id":6117,"date":"2014-12-05T15:37:29","date_gmt":"2014-12-05T15:37:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/etims.net\/?p=6117"},"modified":"2014-12-05T15:52:35","modified_gmt":"2014-12-05T15:52:35","slug":"all-the-celtic-ladies-put-your-hands-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/etims.net\/?p=6117","title":{"rendered":"All the Celtic Ladies&#8230;Put Your Hands up!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Wooooah Ooohhh Oooohhh\u00a0Oooohhh Ooooohhh <em>Oooohhh Ooooohhh<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Wooooah <em>Ooohhh Oooohhh\u00a0Oooohhh Ooooohhh Oooohhh Ooooohhh<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Wooooah <em>Ooohhh Oooohhh\u00a0Oooohhh Ooooohhh Oooohhh Ooooohhh<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Wooooah <em>Ooohhh Oooohhh\u00a0Oooohhh Ooooohhh Oooohhh Ooooohhh<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Its that time of Year when we can give thanks for what we have, but of course, some folk out there have not.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/charity.celticfc.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Celtic Charity Foundation<\/a> are running a few events over Xmas\u00a0including a special Ladies Lunch.<\/p>\n<p>Details below, all contributions as always welcome:<\/p>\n<div class=\"rtearea\">\n<p>CELTICS first-team players have got behind Celtic FC Foundation\u2019s 2014 Christmas Appeal.\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">Scott Brown, Craig Gordon and Adam Matthews thanked supporters for their incredible generosity to date and encouraged them to play their part in this year\u2019s Appeal, which strives to honour our founding principles and help those in our community who need it most.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">The Celtic Captain said: \u201cChristmas should be a time of joy for all of us, but it can be difficult for many individuals and families, who face poverty, hardship and disadvantage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">Craig Gordon commented: \u201cOur target is to provide a proper Christmas meal for around 200 local families, who otherwise would go without, as well as giving gifts for the younger family members.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">And Adam Matthews added: \u201cIf we don\u2019t help them&#8230;there might not be a Christmas in those households.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">We are also aiming to support local charities who care for those experiencing the torment of homelessness or other disadvantage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">\u201cWe have managed this in previous years but only because of your generosity. What a magnificent start.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">The generosity and compassion of the Celtic Family is unique and unsurpassed, and Scott, Craig and Adam are requesting your support once again for an Appeal which epitomises the very essence of our Club and truly honours the founding principles of Brother Walfrid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">Please help us brighten up lives and reach our goal this Christmas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">Those individuals and charities we are looking to support through the 2014 Christmas Appeal are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Around 200 local families (a Christmas meal and gifts for the children).<\/li>\n<li>Glasgow East Women\u2019s Aid (Gifts, toys and family outings gifts for those in the refuge).<\/li>\n<li>Spirit Aid (Christmas hampers for those in need in the West of Scotland).<\/li>\n<li>Glasgow Simon Community (we will host a Christmas lunch here at Celtic Park on Sunday, December 7).<\/li>\n<li>Loaves and Fishes (a hot meal in the cold weather for the homeless and those living in poverty).<\/li>\n<li>The Wayside Club Centre (a refuge and meal on Christmas day for the homeless).<\/li>\n<li>Glasgow City Mission (support for their Older Men\u2019s Club which provides food and companionship).<\/li>\n<li>Scottish Refugee Council (support for refugees facing their first Christmas in Scotland).<\/li>\n<li>The Invisibles (warm goods and clothing for the City\u2019s homeless).<\/li>\n<li>Yorkhill Children\u2019s Charity (gifts and activities for children facing a hospital stay over Christmas)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.6;\">As part of the Appeal, Celtic FC Foundation will be hosting our first ever Ladies Lunch \u2013 Ghirls for Good \u2013 on Saturday, December 13 in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-6127\" src=\"https:\/\/etims.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/news-294-20141201155052.png\" alt=\"news-294-20141201155052\" width=\"687\" height=\"232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/etims.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/news-294-20141201155052.png 1184w, https:\/\/etims.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/news-294-20141201155052-150x50.png 150w, https:\/\/etims.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/news-294-20141201155052-300x101.png 300w, https:\/\/etims.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/news-294-20141201155052-1024x345.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 687px) 100vw, 687px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>DING dong merrily on high!\u00a0 Places are now available to reserve at Celtic FC Foundation\u2019s inaugural ladies&#8217; lunch event, Ghirls for Good, a key event within our 2014 Christmas Appeal.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsored by the Ellen Kane Trust, the afternoon of fabulous festive fun, fizz and frolics will take place in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park on Saturday, December 13.
