Alekasandr Tonev, who said he was innocent and had been told he was innocent, found out what it means to be a Celtic player yesterday;<\/p>\n

A Disciplinary Tribunal convened today in accordance with the Judicial Panel Protocol to consider the following case:<\/span><\/em>

Match:\u00a0<\/b>Celtic v Aberdeen (SPFL Premiership) – 13th September 2014<\/span><\/em>

Disciplinary Rule(s) allegedly breached:<\/b><\/em>

Disciplinary Rule 202: Excessive Misconduct by the use of offensive, insulting and abusive language of a racist nature.<\/span><\/em>

Outcome:\u00a0<\/b>Complaint established.<\/span><\/em>

Sanction:\u00a0<\/b>Seven-match immediate suspension applied.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

So, well done to their investigators who have found something that no-one else has.<\/p>\n

Evidence and proof that Tonev racially abused debutant Shay Logan of Aberdeen.<\/p>\n

We can exclusively reveal the pictures handed to the SFA by their Chief Investigations Officer that seem to have left no doubt that Tonev is guilty of the offence he was charged with. You may doubt that it is either Tonev or Logan in these pictures, but according to the impartial SFA, its definitely them.<\/p>\n

This was the first incident, when Tonev and Logan appear to argue over a throw in.<\/p>\n

Then , later in the first half, we see a somewhat over the top tackle by Tonev, which first attracted the referees attention to a possible problem between the two players<\/p>\n

The situation got a litttle fraught, and Tonev was pulled to one side and spoken to by the referee<\/p>\n

Who then filed his report and sent it to the SFA. Which led to the seven match ban.<\/p>\n

Of course, Celtic will appeal. Which , in turn, means we’ll get to see the evidence, because to my mind, the pictures above, taken from the movie American History X, which shows exactly how fucking pointless and stupid racism is, are probably just about as far removed from the actual incident Logan reported \u00a0as any evidence that the SFA has.<\/p>\n

The SFA have form when it comes to bewildering decisions, like \u00a0when Kris Boyd recently headbutted an opponent, \u00a0captured on tv. He was found “not proven “, which means we know he did it , but can’t prove it. Presumably the SFA telly was on the blink that week.<\/p>\n

Now, there is , in reality , only the word of the Aberdeen player as to what really happened. Have the SFA accepted that as the true and proper account of events ?<\/p>\n

Have we moved back to the dark ages where one mans word is deemed enough to convict another without any corroborative evidence. That concerns me more than if Tonev was actually guilty.<\/p>\n

Remember those jolly days in old London Town when we were all innocent until proven Irish ?<\/p>\n

If Tonev is guilty, which is possible, then he should be returned to Aston Villa without delay. Thats indisputable, and he should be made to share a car with Efe Ambrose, Virgil van dijk and Wakaso Mubarak.<\/p>\n

And there should be plenty of stops at all the service stations so they can take it in turns to give him a proper kicking.<\/p>\n

But there doesn’t appear to be any reason to think he is guilty.<\/p>\n

Until we see the evidence the SFA have. Then we can make our own mind up.<\/p>\n

Ronny Deila, the likeable Celtic manager\u00a0<\/strong>, has spoken out aabout how fed up he is every time the MSM ask him about the possibilities of playing Scotlands newest and touchiest club.<\/p>\n

Again, there may have been something else under his breath….<\/p>\n

\u00a0Ronny Deila may have been the subject of some initial criticism from some quarters early on his Celtic career. but he’s coming to terms with the job, and slowly imposing his personality on the support.<\/p>\n
