Did you see the news today ?<\/strong> Michael McIntyre has stormed off the stage because a woman in the front row at one of his gigs wouldn’t get off her phone.<\/p>\n

Its international week, which means that theres not much news about Celtic to talk about, so I’m amusing myself by looking at other headlines.<\/p>\n

The other big story is the outbreak of Ebola in West Africa, which is causing a bit of panic, but personally i don’t think its a bad thing. I was at the doctors with my dodgy ankle yesterday, which is making it awkward for me to move around, but when the guy at the window coughed and told the receptionist he thought he’d got the virus, it certainly improved my mobility, because I ran like fuck all the way home.<\/p>\n

Kris Commons will be offered a chance to move to Bolton<\/strong>, according to the Daily Mail, who clearly thought that the photo of him outside the staff canteen at Boltons training ground in yesterdays diary.was genuine.<\/p>\n

And there are no quotes, from either the player or his former manager, to suggest theres anything in it.<\/p>\n

And of course, there is no suggestion that Commons may start to work his ticket to be re-united with his old boss if Celtics new contract offer is consistent with the recent trend to introduce the ” Living Wage” for the players.<\/p>\n

Bolton isn’t too far from Stoke, so last night I popped over to have a couple of beers with Lennon, but such is his impact on the town, there was no chance to ask him, as we were subject to countless interruptions.<\/p>\n

Those of us who criticise Ronny Deila have backed their claims by pointing out that there doesn’t seem to be any signs that he is doing anything positive to make things better, or that we can’t see what he is trying to do with the players.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Mysterious in this context refers to the mystery as to why this guy is prepared to chuck more money into Ibrox after he already struggled to get his first batch back.<\/div>\n

DAVE King<\/a>\u00a0last night emerged from crunch talks with the\u00a0Rangers<\/a>\u00a0board and declared he is confident a deal can be struck over his proposed \u00a316million bailout.<\/em><\/p>\n

King flew into Scotland from South Africa on Monday night to meet up with mysterious wealthy supporter George Letham<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 pictured for the first time on our front page today<\/em><\/p>\n

I haven’t seen it, but I presume he’s looking suitably embarrassed at being in the company of the convicted tax fraudster.<\/p>\n

\u2013 and they arrived at Ibrox yesterday afternoon.<\/em><\/p>\n

The pair spent around two hours locked in discussions with Gers chairman David Somers, chief executive Graham Wallace and director Philip Nash before coming out in bullish mood.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Bullish mood ? Surely theres a “t” missing from that anagram ?<\/p>\n

King refused to divulge details of the meeting but when asked if he was optimistic their bid would be accepted, he said: \u201cYes, we are.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Rangers confirmed two weeks ago they had repaid \u00a31.5m of emergency loans made to the club in February and March, including \u00a31m from Letham.<\/em><\/p>\n

Record Sport revealed last week\u00a0King had teamed up with Letham and former director Paul Murray to bankroll an urgently needed rescue package<\/a>\u00a0that would enable the club to stave off yet more financial distress.<\/em><\/p>\n

In return for the huge cash injection, King and his group want a 51 per cent stake in Rangers through the issue of new shares.<\/em><\/p>\n

The\u00a0move has been backed by Wallace and Nash \u2013 the two men Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is currently trying to have booted off the board<\/a>\u00a0.<\/em><\/p>\n

But King\u2019s sudden arrival on Scottish soil indicates he is close to securing a deal.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Either that or the cops in South Africa are after him again.<\/p>\n

The Glasgow Castlemilk-born millionaire pitched up at Ibrox along with Letham just before 3pm yesterday. Wallace and Nash were already at the stadium while chairman Somers arrived 20 minutes later. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

He’s no use, he’s only a millionaire. how the mighty have fallen, it used to be billionaires. soon they’ll be reduced to a whip round at the lodge. Or being roundly whipped at the lodge. Either \u00a0should raise a considerable amount of cash with the correct sponsorship.<\/p>\n

The parties didn\u2019t drag out the discussions as King and Letham reappeared around 4.50pm and promptly hopped in a taxi bound for a city hotel.<\/em><\/p>\n

Somers and Wallace held back before escaping from a different exit in the ground around an hour later without making comment.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Escaping. Somebody probably chucked a ladder up against the outside wall, presumably in a dummy run for when they all go to another big hoose after its discovered what they are really up to.<\/p>\n

Allegedly, of course, because there is no suggestion that convicted tax fraudster Dave King could be up to any shennanigans at all. It would be completely out of character.<\/p>\n

The bailout talks are expected to continue today and King may even attempt to make contact with Ashley \u2013 who owns an 8.92 per cent chunk of the Ibrox club \u2013 during his visit to see if common ground can be found.<\/em><\/p>\n

As well as controlling the club\u2019s retail stores and shirt sales, Ashley also owns the naming rights for the stadium as part of a hugely controversial \u00a31 deal with former CEO Charles Green \u2013 an agreement that was uncovered by Record Sport.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

If the naming rights for a pound is controversial, what does that make buying the whole club for a pound ?<\/p>\n

But if King\u2019s consortium holds no threat to Ashley\u2019s lucrative contracts then the Sports Direct boss could yet be talked into scaling back on his own ongoing attempts to grab a bigger share of boardroom control.<\/em><\/p>\n

Oh, its a consortium.<\/p>\n

Doesn’t anyone who wants to buy that club ever use their own money ?<\/p>\n
