Neil Lennon made a number of changes to the line up due to injury to key players, but also with half an eye on the crucial midweek Champions League Qualifier against Helsingborg.\u00a0 Youngsters Filip Twardzik and Tony Watt found themselves in the starting eleven, and both acquitted themselves well.<\/p>\n
Watt, in particular, made a strong claim to feature in future games, with a well taken brace of goals.<\/p>\n
Victor Wanyama settled any early nerves with a powerful headed goal after just 3 minutes.\u00a0 Within the half hour Celtic had doubled their lead, Tony Watt racing clear of a static home defence to neatly lob the ICT Keeper for his first.<\/p>\n
Celtic were dominant in the first half and carried on exactly where they left off after the break, with Mulgrew slotting home an excellent third goal from a set-piece routine straight form the training ground.\u00a0 Watt added his second, and Celtic\u2019s fourth soon after and it looked odds on that the visitors would go on to further embarrass their hosts.\u00a0\u00a0 However, Celtic appeared to go to sleep towards the end of the game, allowing Caley\u2019s Draper to notch a couple of unlikely replies for the home side.<\/p>\n
So, a solid 2 – 4 away win at a traditionally tricky venue, and loads of positives to take into the big midweek CL game.\u00a0 A good day\u2019s work.<\/p>\n
