As you’re probably aware, we hear all sorts of stuff and usually apply certain criteria before we pass it on. If only to keep the lawyers away.<\/p>\n

Let’s start with the rumours of players coming back…you’ll notice that’s a plural.<\/p>\n

Alben Ajeti is going to sit tight until Celtic pay him off, which is fair enough, A contract is a contract, but the bit where he claims he is a footballer is certainly open to question.<\/p>\n

It would be better if he left by mutual consent, which incidentally is how\u00a0 Mason Greenwood is leaving Manchester United, which will happen as soon as his lawyers explain to him what consent means.<\/p>\n

That’s what money in the bank is for, and this is one of the rainiest days we’ve had for a while.<\/p>\n

One table I saw shows that Celtic have more cash in the bank than all but four EPL clubs. That’s the two Manchester clubs, Tottenham and West Ham.<\/p>\n

Add to that the money from the sale of Hatate…oh, that’s going to happen, at which point we may even overtake Tottenham at the bank…<\/p>\n

Sure, there may be investment in infrastructure, such as training facilities, and perhaps a few new beds in the hospital room, it seems we need them…but none of that matters if the team on the park doesn’t do the business.<\/p>\n

All the talk of extending the ground is pointless if no one comes to see the football, so instead of applying the policy of just keeping a little bit better than “rangers “, and we’re always going to be a little bit better than any team that has Todd Cantwell as their talisman, let’s aim for the stars.<\/p>\n
