Yesterdays announcement that Celtic will play in a tournament in australia during the Qatar World cup seems to have ruffled a few feathers among the support.<\/p>\n

Thats because the word is that whichever version of Rangers is around at the time will also take part, and that is unacceptable.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The entity that cheated , lied and almost destroyed our game has been given a reprieve and has carried on in exactly the same way since it’s inception in 2012, bar the EBT’s, and all with the blessing of the Celtic board.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Put simply, by participating in a tournament that aligns the two clubs as a brand in itself is to become a part of what remains the biggest scandal in British sporting history.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Unless Abramovich is allowed to sell Chelsea before it’s seized, that is.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It’s a pity.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Clearly, and rightly, Ange Postecoglou is proud of what he’s doing while he’s working away from home, and for him to want to take it back and show his country what he’s achieved thus far is only natural.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s where my roots are, that\u2019s where I grew up and I know that since I\u2019ve been in this position at Celtic, people have been following my journey, whether they know me or not, and I\u2019ll have a great sense of pride going back to Australia as manager of Celtic.<\/em><\/p>\n

The club\u2019s always had a strong connection with Australia, and I know how passionate the supporters\u2019 groups are down there and how they follow the club, whether that\u2019s been with Tommy Rogic or Scotty McDonald, or Jackson Irvine \u2013 people who have passed through the club \u2013 and now I am the manager of the club.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I think the Australian public, in general, will take great pride that one of theirs is in charge of such a famous club.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe just want to represent this football club and what it\u2019s all about. I\u2019ve understood the responsibility I have for it since I\u2019ve taken on the role, but I just know how passionate people are and the first thing is they\u2019ll want to get to the ground and watch the team play, just to have that feeling.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

It may even be that they want to see a Celtic -Rangers ” game in the flesh, but they are a decade or so too late.<\/p>\n

To pretend otherwise is to condone the cheating and lies that have riddled Scottish football before, during and after the scandal.<\/p>\n

Up until a couple of hours ago, no official source mentioned “rangers ” as a participant, probably because they were waiting to see if they could afford the plane fare, but maybe the aussies have given them an advance , because Western Sydney’s Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade, Minister for Tourism and Sport, Stuart Ayles, has revealed full details (<\/em>Record )\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

He said<\/em><\/p>\n

He’s clearly never had a travelling Ibrox support in his city, and would do well to consult those who have.<\/p>\n

The Celtic board continues on it’s cataclysmic journey with yet another attempt to continue a brand that no longer exosts, a brand that was permanently damaged in the eyes of the world , a brand which prevents Celtic from being a truly global industry, as it will forever be tainted as part of a parochial rivalry that exists only in name to pander to one half of it.<\/p>\n

Well, there’s a hidden message in this piece for the Celtic board….<\/p>\n

Once they told us they were not half of anything, and like so many in the public eye their actions have shown us that they are feeding us what they think we want to eat.<\/p>\n

Yes, ange should take his team home and show it off to his pals. He’s earned that right.<\/p>\n
