Fair enough, a 2-0 win takes it to a shoot out, but in all reality Celtic are going to concede.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re not that well organised at the back from set pieces, and when Calum MacGregor outlined that the hoops<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"content-column\">\n<div class=\"article-body\">\n<p>&#8230;. <em>understand we have to put a wee bit of risk in the game\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>it became clear we&#8217;re going to stick with Joe Hart.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Although Hart is a top class keeper, he seems to have had less input into organising things at the back than when he first arrived, and maybe the novelty of playing for a big club in front of regular big crowds is beginning to wear off for him, but he really needs to up his game tomorrow if Celtic are to progress.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And i&#8217;m not buying into this idea that elimination would help prioritise the league campaign.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If we don;t want to win a tournament then we shouldn&#8217;t enter, and even more worrying is that when a lackadaisical approach to games creeps in, it can be difficult to shift.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Calum MacGregor does seem up for it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis group of players has shown we can win big. We\u2019re that type of team. We want to be aggressive. Even if we go away from home, we want to play the same way and that\u2019ll get us chances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about being clinical and ruthless when the chances come. That can be the small difference. We\u2019ve still got a chance to rectify it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>We\u2019ve come a long way and we\u2019ve got a hell of a long way to go as well. It keeps us grounded and makes us understand we have many layers to go.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt\u2019s a learning curve and we have to take that on board.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhen you play European competition, no matter the team you come up against they\u2019ll always be fit and organised and that\u2019s why it\u2019s such a good level.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYou can\u2019t drop, you have to be more aware, play quicker and make good decisions and when you don\u2019t, that\u2019s what happened to us last week.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cConceding the early goal didn\u2019t help us \u2013 we then had to chase the game and they\u2019re a good outfit.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThey\u2019ve shown that in the group stage \u2013 we knew the threat they had on the counter and that gives us a mountain to climb.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe started to get control, had some good moments and lacked a bit of quality, which we haven\u2019t done recently.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThat\u2019s the difference at this level \u2013 they have three chances and score and in numerous situations we struggled a little bit but it\u2019s a learning curve as a group.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYou can\u2019t think you\u2019re doing well then you come up against a tough side and they beat you 3-1 at home. holding company &#8211; at a cost of \u00a31m.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The latest transaction in the shares of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/sport\/football\/team\/14923\/rangers\/\">Rangers<\/a> International Football Club PLC went through yesterday and was communicated on Companies House today.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/02\/rangers.png\" alt=\"Rangers have generated further cash reserves\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>A total of four million shares were alotted &#8211; and bought at 25p per share.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It&#8217;s the second such transaction this year, after five million shares &#8211; at a cost of \u00a31.25m went through back in January.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/sport\/football\/7998483\/rangers-fans-mock-funeral-steven-gerrard-cardboard-cutout\/\">Ibrox<\/a>\u00a0outfit recently released their annual report,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/sport\/football\/7955235\/rangers-financial-losses-revenue\/\">which highlighted an operational loss of \u00a323.5m for the last 12 months<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Gers said they needed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/sport\/football\/7955235\/rangers-financial-losses-revenue\/\">\u00a37.5m before the end of the season although the club were confident that the funds would be raised<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>An agreement between chairman Douglas Park and vice-chair John Bennett was outlined in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/assets.ctfassets.net\/39646iezddpk\/iqWGrSHuBKRWHdWfD47xh\/f13e45eb51a6e0f5a54e6b5e02195d01\/Rangers_Reports_and_Accounts_2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rangers&#8217; annual report<\/a>, whereby they would provide additional loan facilities.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It said: &#8220;They (Park and Bennett) will provide additional loan facilities as necessary to meet shortfalls to the above requirements and any further amounts that may be required a result of variances to forecast cash flows.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The Board has considered the level and timing of additional funding that may be needed and is satisfied that any such amounts will be made available as and when required.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s not actually what it was&#8230;.as <em>GrandOlTeam on Twitter <\/em>explains, and since he doesn&#8217;t work for the Sun, and never has, I&#8217;ll take his word for it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em> Rangers share issues. <strong>Today\u2019s allotment wasn\u2019t new cash, but conversion of old loans<\/strong>. I\u2019ll explain. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The RIFC 2021 AR, signed 27 Oct, said \u00a38.5m in loans were taken since 30 June, with another \u00a37.5m needed by YE. The TRFC AR, signed 15 Dec, said the \u00a37.5m was filled.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Of the \u00a37.5m, we know from the TRFC AR that \u00a34.25m was received for Gerrard &amp; staff. Assume the other \u00a33.25m was loans. So, \u00a311.75m total in loans since 30 June. Today\u2019s allotment means 23.4m shares have been allotted this year, or \u00a35.85m. That excludes the Tifosy issue.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/FMOF2ZtVIAUX2zm?format=png&amp;name=small\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>So, including today, Rangers have converted about half the loans taken since 30 June. Almost \u00a36m in loans remain unconverted. Does that mean \u00a36m more in upcoming conversions? Not necessarily. Some investors have been granting repayable loans instead of accepting shares.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>King had a \u00a35m loan repaid. Bennett had \u00a35.5m in loans repaid. There is a \u00a35.25m, 6%, 7-year loan to 3 investors. Some of the remaining loans may be repayable and will not be converted to shares. We won\u2019t know until the next RIFC AR.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>In conclusion, I expect more conversions of outstanding loans. There may also be some repayable loans. Today\u2019s allotment doesn\u2019t signal impending doom for Rangers. Nor will further allotments in the near term.
