This season, it’s the fault of Neil Lennon to an extent, but mostly down tonthe board for a stunning lack of preparation not seen since, well, this time last year.<\/p>\n

And of course, there’s some truth in it. But it’s not the whole truth.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
With probably our biggest selling point not being able to be used as a selling point…champions league football….then the quality players demanded by the support..amd the manager…simply won’t commit beforehand.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
You can’t blame them, and so you shoud maybe understand the difficulties involved<\/p>\n
Should we pay over the odds for players just to fill a gap when surely it would make more sense to take a step back and make two forward later?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The brutal truth is we’re not ready for champions league football yet.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We might not even be ready for Europa League<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But that’s not to say we should chuck in the towel.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Far be it from me to criticise anyone else who offers an opinion, as a supporter , on the way thinhs are going, but it’s becoming somewhat tiresome to read, see and hear voice after voice telling us what we already know.<\/p>\n

And how to fix it.<\/p>\n

Tonight four youngsters in defence have a chance to become heroes.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They’re up against it. They’re not expected to last longer in the team than it takes to replace them as soon as the manager cam find someone.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
All of\u00a0 which is encouraged by a relentless storm of voices from those who really should know better.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Pages amd pages of statistics of who is doing well and who is doing poorly.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
All completely irrelevant when the house lights come up and the game starts.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We can’t be at the game tonight in body, but we can be in spirit.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The roller coaster of European football is open for business.<\/p>\n
