It looks like there isn’t someone ready and willing to take up the challenge.

Might explain why Mark Hughes has suddenly appeared on the scene.

When we look back at the end of the four treble period and how it happened, there are many factors outwith our control.

The plague certainly had an effect, with players who should have been moved on forced to stay, and the replacements , already in place, forced to kick their heels in the stands.

One theory also suggests that Celtic have missed the support. There is certainly precedent that the crowd have lifted the team on more than one occasion, and even if a fan never scored a goal, that certainly cannot be discounted as another reason-not excuse- for the poor show this season.

In fact, if you expand on that, casting your mind back to August, many pundits said that having no fans on their backs would be an advantage to Steven Gerrard’s “rangers “, as they would be able to play without fear of abuse from the crowd.

That narrative has been quietly dropped , although it’s maybe worth reminding the hordes that the team have done well because they haven’t been there to spur them on, knees awash in fenian blood.

There you are, they’ve won the league because their fans haven’t been there to “cheer ” them on, and we’ve lost it for the same reason.

Piece of piss this analysis lark.

We’d all like to think that there’s a plan in place, that an irate Dermot Desmond will swing into action, that things will be back to normal soon.

Until then, it seems that every morning when they go to work, all of those involved at our club with playing, coaching, managing, or decision making have made use of the new switch, a switch that sums up their attitude this season, installed by the main entrance.

Where other businesses have motivating quotes, or bright, cheerful people who put a smile on your face as you walk through the door, getting you ready to meet the challenges of the day head on, on your own terms.

At Celtic Park we’ve got a switch….

Thing is, there’s a nagging suspicion that those in control haven’t quite realised just how annoyed the fans are, and they genuinely seem to be in a world of their own.

We’ll know how badly they’ve mistaken the mood when the adverts for season book renewals come out…

Caption competition…..

Puggy

Caption: Darling I firmly believe that by abdication we will pave the way for a royal family that can live out their dreams of marrying anyone, and I mean anyone, even a divorced black actress and have mixed race children…Eddie…..Eddie!

Today

Celtic took affirmative action on the last day of the loan window by bringing in Johnjoe Kenny, who can’t get a game for Everton. …

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
https://etims.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/dont-wait-for-a-light-to-appear-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel-stride-down-there-and-light-the-bloody-quote-1.jpg
