“It’s great to join the biggest club in Scotland and I want to help us win more silverware in what I know is an important season for Celtic.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Add to that there is a report on Sky sports that the agents of Kris Ajer and Olivier Ntcham have asked Celtic what they will accept for the two players and you can see the merry go round is about to begin.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ordinarily, you’d applaud the management for getting replacements in before others leave, but somehow we’ve contrived to even make an arse of that.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n His arrival takes Celtic’s spending to around the thirteen million pound mark on permanent deals, with another couple of million on top for the inexplicable addition of Mo Elyannoussi on loan.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Well, there probably is an explanation, and we could do with hearing it soon, as he’s due an injury any time now.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Turnbull’s arrival takes the number of midfielders to roughly the level of season ticket holders, which means that when we have our Christmas parties we can have one each as guests.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I think I’ve sussed out the new formation Lennon is working on.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Crowd the middle of the park so that the other team gets tired having to run around them, and then, with ten minutes left, bring on a striker to see if he can score.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We’re at the crossroads already this season, and we hear that Peter Lawwell had john Kennedy in for a one to one chat yesterday, which is an unusual thing for him to do.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He doesn’t normally talk to any of the coaching staff beyond asking them what time they are in in the morning.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The coaching staff could be a big part of the problem.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kennedy seems to have a lot of power but little responsibility for results, Gavin Strachan’s dad is pals with Lawwell, and so probably thinks he’s got more power than he should have, whilst everyone else is there because they used to play for Celtic or know someone who did.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Except for Henrik Larsson, who apparently wasn’t up to a place on Celtic’s staff despite being keen to help with the forwards, maybe even teaching them not to hit the ball straight at the keeper…you’ve probably noticed how many “good ” keepers we seem to play against, ones who are always in the “right place ” .<\/p>\n No, Larsson has had to take a job with Catalan side Barcelona, where no doubt he will try to impress enough to be offered a job at Celtic.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Whatever was said between Lawwell and Kennedy we can only hope it wasn’t along the lines of a job interview, Kennedy is too close to the players and therefore will not instill the respect that is needed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n As it stands, we have a squad who take no notice of the manager, as they know that there will be no repercussions.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I’m afraid that the horse may have bolted for Lennon, and that makes me sad. It seems the old habits die hard, and whats worse is they are picked up by others.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We need a complete clear out of the management and coaching staff. Stevie Woods apart, there is nothing that they can point to and take credit for.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The two major sales, Dembele and Tierney , were the result of Deila and Rodgers developing the two, and to be perfectly frank, rodgers almost destroyed Tierney’s career, as the player was made to play despite the hip injury that left him in agony, and has taken him around eighteen months to recover from.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The open goal interview with Si Ferry is available on You Tube, and in it Tierney is quite revealing about what went on. The bit where Scott Brown told him to take the injections and play through the pain is horrifying, especially as it could have ended the lads career, which in turn should be taken into consideration when Tierney is criticised for leaving the club for money instead of legendary status.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Frankly, those involved should be axed for that alone.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It must have been common knowledge, as even the Diary talked of the possibilities of the injury being career ending at the time, and understood why Tierney wanted out, so quite why he was treated the way he was remains a mystery.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n There’s a lot of things that remain unexplained, and it;s time for some answers.
