The latsest from the ranch includes news of someone who wants to stay, Oddsone Edoaurd, and someone who doesn’t, Kris Ajer.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The former didn’t go home to France during the recent lockdown, and that was as sure a sign as any that the French forward was enjoying his stint in Glasgow. An improved deal should be on the way, and we can look forward to him leading the line next season, which apparently will start in august, albeit behind closed doors.<\/p>\n

Kris Ajer will be going, although it’s not yet known where to. With Fraser forster and Mo Elyanoussi likely to remain at Celtic, don’t be surprised if he’s the latest Celtic recruit for Southampton, with Olivier Ntcham, should he leave, probably aiming a little bit higher than the south coast.<\/p>\n

I mentioned in the passing there about the league possibly starting in August, and thats because First minister Nicola Sturgeon will talking to Neil Doncaster later today about the possibility of players being allowed to return to training next week with a view to the season starting in a couple of months, as planned.<\/p>\n

Doncaster has a plan, and he’ll discuss it with the FM, but the best he can hope for is a provisional start date with conditions attached.<\/p>\n

There are a lot of things to take into consideration, and whilst its the news we all want to hear, it’s important to remember that the current health crisis is far from over, and it would be unwise to start up again just because it would cheer us all up.<\/p>\n

That , regrettably, seems to be the policy down south, with English football starting back up in a couple of weeks in the hope no one will notice that Westminster has spent more time and energy protecting a psychopathic advisor than it has protecting the wider population.<\/p>\n

As a result, people have stopped taking the virus seriously, and its only a matter of time before the people are blamed for causing a second wave by not taking it seriously.<\/p>\n

Bringing back the football is only a distraction from the deep pile of doodoo the government is in, and don;t forget, they have already proved they don’t give a toss whether we live or die.<\/p>\n

Worryingly, they don’t seem to give a toss about anything any more, but will cling on until a no deal brexit is achieved, thus leaving their successors well and truly in the mire.<\/p>\n

This attitude, of course, is mirrored in Scottish football, as we have seen in previous ramblings.<\/p>\n

I had a thought the other day, though it was prompted by a Lennon CSC member, that grew legs the more i thought about it, and others added to it.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With “rangers ” professing, quite vigorously, to be the same club as Rangers, shouldn;t that mean that the massive tax bill ran up by the old club applies to the new one, and therefore is an overdue payable that bars them from European competition ?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And if they are a new club, didn’t they agree, under the five way agreement to pay all the football debts, which surely must include the tax and national insurance incurred by their players ?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All of this comes down to the five way agreement and the myth of continuation promoted by the SFA, the SPFL and the media.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Yet all of that need never have happened if Eric Riley, who heard knew all about the 5 way, as he chaired a meeting that discussed it, and Peter Lawwell, who denied seeing the confirmation email, stood up and made it perfectly clear about the reality of what was going on.<\/p>\n

Rangers entered administration, and then liquidation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The assets were sold cheaply to a venture capitalist who claimed the trophies and titles were all a part of the package, which he later stated in court.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The fans, having failed to save the first club, clung on to the myth that they hadn’t had to, and have been supported by the authorities and the media in their hysterical claim that all that happened was the club got new owners.<\/p>\n

Which, of course, is bollocks.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The simple truth is that Lawwell reckons it is good for business-remember his claim about losing \u00a310m – to have a functioning Rangers in the league, and one can only think that he agreed with the points in the 5 way and by not protesting gave permission for “rangers ” to become Rangers and indulge in the myth of continuation.<\/p>\n

In short, all that nonsense about going for 55 is because Lawwell….and other clubs…didn;t make it perfectly clear from the outset that they were a new club.<\/p>\n

It really is a mess, and one wonders whether or not it’s actually worth setting it all up again when the virus is under control.<\/p>\n

It’ll just be more bullshit.<\/p>\n
