Perhaps the media have decided that the real problem within society today is the lack of football, and not the irritating cough and cold that has claimed over 50,000 lives.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then again, perspective is just something that happens outside the British mainland…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Daily Record is among those giving far more attention and energy to football and it’s absence than to the virus that is rampaging through communities and shows no sign of slowing, largely because those in charge of dealing with it haven’t quite realised that if people keep dying then there will be no one left to rebuild the economy with.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If their editors had shown as much venom and fire towards Westminster, thousands of people might still be alive today.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But no, the real enemy is the SPFL, who won;t give “rangers ” any money.<\/p>\n

And perish the thought, they want to give Celtic a title they probably would have won anyway, but hadn’t quite secured before the end of hostilities.<\/p>\n

Todays headline is a little sensationalist, and the tect tries to build it up into a major crisis, whereas in reality, football is suffering just like any other indistry, and should be dealt with as such.<\/p>\n

Talks were held between the SFA,\u00a0SPFL<\/a>\u00a0and the Scottish Government on Tuesday over how the game might return once the lockdown is eased.<\/em><\/p>\n

This will, of course, not be an easy task and Holyrood has been warned football was need desperate financial support if fans are not allowed back into stadiums any time soon.<\/em><\/p>\n

SPFL chief\u00a0Neil Doncaster<\/a>\u00a0warned how the game is in “grave peril” with no end to this crisis in sight.<\/em><\/p>\n

Meanwhile,\u00a0Rangers<\/a>\u00a0delayed revealing their dossier of evidence against the league governing body on Tuesday ahead of next week’s EGM.<\/em><\/p>\n

All 42 clubs will meet to decide whether an independent investigation should be held into the controversial vote to end the season.<\/em><\/p>\n

As thing stand,\u00a0Celtic<\/a>\u00a0are still on course to be crowned champions with Hearts facing the drop. Talks over potential league reconstruction have also hit the buffers over cash concerns.<\/em><\/p>\n

Effectively, football, and other sports, except golf, which is a bloody silly game anyway, will return when nicola says it can. Anything else is just bluster.<\/p>\n

Golf may return sooner as it is played by people who were into social distancing long before it was popular, and they can wander around by themselves with no harm done to anyone, except for those who have to listen to their stories , who suffer immediate vomiting from the ears.<\/p>\n

The story also refers to the now infamous “dossier of evidence held by “rangers “, featured in earlier diaries after it was discovered by one of our readers, HenkesDreadlocks, (<\/em>not his real name ) …\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

and was supposed to be in the possession of all the other clubs yesterday so they could consider their response to it.<\/p>\n

It wasn’t, and it’s thought that the evidence was actually the fake invoice, or at least a part of it was, and so their entire case fell apart and they will have to think of something else.<\/p>\n

We’ve already told them where they can find some, and if they google “Jorge Cadete “, they will find some more, although that’s the SFA not the SPFL, but I’m sure they can find a way of roping them into it.<\/p>\n

Then again, would the SFA revisit this, in defence of their colleagues at the SPFL…<\/p>\n

If there hadn’t been a power struggle between the two, one suspects they would have by now…<\/p>\n

It’s all very entertaining, but a tiresome waste of time and money.<\/p>\n

With the dundee Invioce, ( see Diaries passim ) now revealed as a bit of a prank by Celtic fans, the funsters at Ibrox<\/em> Noise<\/em> tried to plant an equally ludicrous story in the minds of Celtic fans, hoping they would take it up..<\/p>\n

Sports Direct Rangers shocker – this can’t be true can it?<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

As fans know British premium sports manufacturers Castore are imminently to be announced as Rangers\u2019 official kit partner. Few would deny they hadn\u2019t heard of this brand before, but for the promotion of their kit by tennis superstar Andy Murray, but despite being a fairly young company their reputation is a good one already.<\/em><\/p>\n

However, what led to this choice?<\/em><\/p>\n

We know Puma and other better-known companies were also in the running, as were Italians Macron, but instead we plumped for Castore.<\/em><\/p>\n

Why?<\/em><\/p>\n

A look at the Frasers Group empire does give a strange hint as to what\u2019s going on here.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Frasers Group, which is now part of the Ashley and Sports Direct empire,\u00a0also appears to own Castore.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Ashley of course is the CEO of the Frasers Group, and among their dozens of brands is Castore, which means, in fact, we believe, Ashley still retains control of Rangers\u2019 kits after all.<\/em><\/p>\n

Of course, we could be wildly wrong, and it honestly feels like we\u2019ve just penned a piece more suited to the Daily Record or three names, but unless our research is completely off, the new deal is still with Mike Ashley.<\/em><\/p>\n

And that explains why there\u2019s never been an explicit announcement that Sports Direct are no longer part of Rangers, only that \u2018existing contracts have ceased\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n

Please, tell us this is wrong.<\/em><\/p>\n

NB update: This article attracted quite a colourful reaction – much of it respectful, but contrary, with the occasional angry internet person giving a volley of abuse because they’ve nothing better to do.<\/em><\/p>\n

For clarity: this was not sent to us by anyone, it was not sourced from green and white sites. It was our own completely separate research which appears to have been incorrect. It happens. We have no idea who may have started any rumours, but we weren’t going by rumours, but by information sourced in good faith and which seems to have been wrong. And that’s fine. Our conscience is clear, because we hold ourselves accountable to our errors.<\/em><\/p>\n

The update shows that they did indeed make it up, and anyone who checked the history of Castore would see that there is no connection to Ashley.<\/p>\n

At least, none I could find.<\/p>\n

More interestingly, there is a bit of a story coming from “rangers ” fans who have paid for their season books, only to see them cancelled and the money, having been taken from their accounts, not being refunded.<\/p>\n

More interestingly, there is a spot of dissent among the hospitality season book holders…<\/p>\n

“They lost about \u00a3800 last 5 games, got offered 2.5% off next season with no increase in cost and a friendly there’s fucking carnage!”\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

They feel they are being shafted, and there seems to be evidence that they are…<\/p>\n

We’re all being shafted one way or another, but some people, it seems, just can’t help lying…<\/p>\n
