The fortress that once was Celtic Park became a millstone for the players, and they were more afraid of doing wrong than trying tondonright

This, in turn led to basic errors.

A manager cannot compensate for such errors, and therefore cannot be blamed.

But it must have been plain to him that Simunovic was showing signs that an error was imminent, and when it came it was no surprise

Was Lennon watching the same game as the rest of us?

Again its a question that must be asked.

There are stories that the day to day running of the team is down to Kennedy and the coaching staff.

Could it be that Lennon only gets involved for the big games?

And when he does, he tinkers around with a winning system and dysfunctionalises it.

Ajer, poor soul, is bot a right back.

The keeper, Fraser Forster, is clearly in some kind of comfort zone.

He’s neither as confident nor as commandong as he was early on in his second stint at the club, and this could be he prefers three centre halves in front of him, allowing him to stay on his line.

He doesn’t like crosses, and leaves them to others.

Greg Taylor isn’t Keiran Tierney.

He’s Greg Taylor and unwarranted criticism will ruin him.

We’ve lost three crucial home games this season.

Cluj, ” rangers ” and now Copenhagen.

We landed the Betfred Cup theough sheer luck.

Alright, there’s a massive cushion as the league enters the run in. That’s because the opposition couldn’t keep up the pace.

Unless we find our running shoes soon, that lead will be under seige.

St Johnstone away on Sjnday is now the biggest game of the season.

A defeat will see questions asked of the management and players mental strength.

I’m not sure they would have the answers.

For a while now, as those who read this diary regularly or listen to the podcasts will know, we’ve been aware that although we couldn’t…

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
