An opportunity he is sure to turn down, but the story creates a mixture of unrest in the support and jubilation in the reporters.<\/p>\n<p>He more or less publicly told Arsenal no, but he might consider Leicester ?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-nTHz9q56PZE\/AAAAAAAAAAI\/AAAAAAAAABc\/MSYXu1ZwOnM\/s640\/photo.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for aye okay\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then you could pretty much go through the squad and attach an &#8220;interested &#8221; club to each of the players. With a year left on Armstrong\u2019s deal, they\u2019ll get \u00a36-8m, but I\u2019d be looking to give him a new contract.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Michael Gannon:<\/strong>\u00a0Celtic would be entitled to play hardball over\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/stuart-armstrong\">Armstrong<\/a>. He\u2019s a top-class international midfielder who could cut it with a mid-ranking EPL side. Celts should be looking at north of \u00a35m.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Gavin Berry:<\/strong>\u00a0It\u2019s tricky because of his contract situation. If he was on a long-term deal then, certainly on the form of the season before least, you would have been talking astronomical figures. But right now \u00a35m would be decent cash.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Most have him undervalued, as they aren&#8217;t interested in talking up Scottish players, unless they are hidden gems on the benches of English clubs on their way to join the Gerrard Revolution, and don;t be surprised if Armstrong fetches, should he leave, closer to \u00a39m.<\/p>\n<p>Celtic don&#8217;t sell their players cheaply any more. Playing hardball over Armstrong will send out that message.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Any sign of anyone coming in. They really are putting in a sterling effort to shift those keyrings..<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/images.onesite.com\/community.betfair.com\/user\/akabula\/0a403f66eb372a2b29616d15e7a4658c.png?v=240700\" alt=\"Image result for Rangers keyrings\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Their support seem a little divided over the way things are going, with reports that Steven Gerrard has his lawyers reading the small print on his contract whilst he continues to find excuses not to turn up for work.<\/p>\n<p>The latest is , predictably, a row over money with Dave King, where the glib and shameless liar appears to have glibly and shamelessly lied about how much money was left on the club credit card he handed to the new manager.<\/p>\n<p>This may be why Club 1872, a collection of supporters who pay x amount a month into a slush fund for the club, have been told to say how much they are prepared to invest.<\/p>\n<p>Backed by a fundraising publicity machine at the Evening times&#8230;<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"headline semi-loud\">Ibrox investors Club 1872 ready to step up and pay in Rangers share issue<\/h1>\n<p><em>THE finishing line is in sight for Club 1872. As soon as the chequered flag is waved, the starting gun will be fired once again.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In January, the organisation launched a bid to raise \u00a31million to be invested in the next share issue at Ibrox. Now, they have just days left to meet their seven-figure target.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eveningtimes.co.uk\/search\/?search=Light+Blues&amp;topic_id=9240\" target=\"_self\">Light Blues<\/a>\u00a0chairman\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eveningtimes.co.uk\/search\/?search=Dave+King&amp;topic_id=9247\" target=\"_self\">Dave King<\/a>\u00a0confirmed several weeks ago that he hoped to bring in around \u00a36million from a rights issue. As part of the process, loans from the likes of Douglas Park and George Letham will be converted to equity.<\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"inArticleAd-1\" class=\"advert-container\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<p><em>Club 1872 have been invited to play their own part in proceedings and director Laura Fawkes hopes supporters make the most of the opportunity after\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eveningtimes.co.uk\/search\/?search=Rangers&amp;topic_id=8844\" target=\"_self\">Rangers<\/a>set a deadline of next Thursday for the organisation to confirm how much they will invest this summer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe think there are fans that believe they can take part in the share issue and they are waiting for it to be announced and are holding their money back to put in,\u201d Fawkes told SportTimes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThat is not going to happen, so for us it is about getting the message out that if you want to help rebuild the club and protect it for future generations, Club 1872 is the only way you can do it at this moment in time.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere might be a handful, aside from the obvious investors, that get to participate. But for 99.9 per cent of the small shareholders, they won\u2019t be able to participate.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are delivering that message to people. We see a lot of people saying \u2018I have got my own shares, so when is the issue because I am definitely participating\u2019. That\u2019s not the case.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cRangers won\u2019t say \u2018you are not getting to participate in this\u2019, they will say \u2018we have issued shares to the following people, at whatever price and raised X\u2019. We have got to generate what we can over the next week and give Rangers the figure.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Members were contacted on Thursday afternoon informing them of the seven day timetable that is now in place as Rangers move towards a rights issue at the end of the month.<\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"inArticleAd-2\" class=\"advert-container\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<p><em>Club 1872 currently have a 10.71 per cent stake in RIFC plc but their status as the second largest shareholder could come under threat as the financial landscape alters once again.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Fawkes said: \u201cWe are sitting at around \u00a3960,000, but that includes project money. The poll that has gone out to members is asking whether we can use that for the share issue.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe don\u2019t know what impact that this will have on the shareholding yet because this is a situation of how much money we can or want to put in.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf we turned round and said we had \u00a32milllion, they could probably issue \u00a32million worth of shares. The situation is quite difficult in that we can\u2019t say to people \u2018if we don\u2019t have \u00a31.3million we will get our shareholding diluted\u2019 because we could put \u00a31.3million in and still get diluted, or put \u00a31million in and not get diluted.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe don\u2019t know what other people are putting in. It is not like an open share offer where everyone buys their percentage pro rata number of shares, it is \u2018we have a pot of shares and we are happy to give them to whoever wants them within this group of investors\u2019. This is where we are at.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The money collected from members on a monthly basis is split between shares and projects pots as supporters choose where they want to see their cash directed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The deal that saw Club 1872 purchase half of the stake held by Mike Ashley took them above the 10 per cent threshold for the first time.<\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"inArticleAd-3\" class=\"advert-container\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<p><em>But that stake could be diminished as fans prepare to see more of their hard-earned put into their club.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Fawkes said: \u201cThere will certainly be a group of people on the internet who will make a big thing of it if the 10 per cent goes down or we drop from second to third or second to fourth.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cA lot of people say they are signed up to Club 1872 because, for them, it is about protecting the club. They put their money in and they just want to know it is going to benefit the club and protect the club for future generations.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cParticularly now, at a time when we are rebuilding at the club, people will want to see their money going straight in so they might not be too hung up on the 10 per cent.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Rangers have received almost \u00a318million in soft loans from directors and wealthy supporters in recent years as significant operating losses have been offset.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>King has stressed that the Ibrox board are not seeking fresh cash from outwith the current investor pool as the Light Blues gear up for the new campaign under the guidance of Steven Gerrard.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But Fawkes hopes Club 1872 can be in a position to play more of a part sooner rather than later as the group looks to continue to grow in the coming years.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Fawkes said: \u201cWith the organisation pushing for a board place, obviously the higher the shareholding is the easier it is to justify that board place. It is the same for any investor.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are aiming for two things \u2013 a board place and 25 per cent \u2013 and both of them can only be achieved by putting in more money for shares.<\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"inArticleAd-4\" class=\"advert-container\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are kind of missing an opportunity in the share issues because if we had \u00a32million in the bank, we could be going and saying \u2018we want more shares\u2019. Instead, we are trying to raise as much as we can to get as many shares as we can.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis only works if a lot of people participate over a long period of time. We don\u2019t want to be in the position of having a week to raise \u00a350,000. We want to be in a position to know that, if another share issue comes along in a years\u2019 time, we are going to have the funds to invest.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Supporters are being asked to chip in a few quid more, which is alright , after all, its thier money, but there was another Rangers supporters Group who accused Club 1872 of taking out a \u00a32m loan , and its all gone kind of messy.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, no one has made a statement to deny this move, and one &#8220;rangers &#8221; blogger&#8221;, Davis&#8217;s Left Peg, who initially reported on it, has now gone have lost the argument.<\/p>\n<p>To kind of explain whats going on, &#8220;rnagers &#8221; are in the shit, and they&#8217;ve asked for money from a supporters group to bail them out, and it seems the supporters group are about to take out a bank loan to give King even more money.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine if Celtic came to the CSA and the Kano Foundation and asked for a bailout&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Would any
