He&#8217;s been on a long trip to Boston and has decided to amuse himself by teasing Celtic fans..<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/DCGRgmuXUAA4GTk.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>New Balance have their headquarters in Boston, so that could be one destination, and we have heard he&#8217;s getting a new deal from Celtic, and to be honest there&#8217;s all sorts of daft stories flying around.<\/p>\n<p>Including this one, from Spain..<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\"><span class=\"goog-text-highlight\">Celtic Into Real Madrid Striker If Dembele Hengkang\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Well, if Dembele does hengkang, you&#8217;ll be the first to know.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Glasgow, Sundan<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>Spanish<\/strong> media mentions when <strong>Celtic<\/strong> lost <strong>Moussa Dembele<\/strong> this summer, the <strong>Real Madrid<\/strong> striker will be targeted as his replacement.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Media says that sales actually unwanted Dembele Celtic but with a number of top clubs <strong>of Europe<\/strong> yan interested, should <strong>Brendan Rodgers<\/strong> prepared a list of replacement if the player <strong>France<\/strong> the go.<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-rec td-a-rec-id-content_inline \"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<p><em>One player who is well-known for Rodgers is Madrid striker <strong>Mariano<\/strong> .<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span class=\"goog-text-highlight\">According <\/span><span class=\"goog-text-highlight\">to the media, <\/span><span class=\"goog-text-highlight\">Los Blancos is<\/span><span class=\"goog-text-highlight\"> ready to lend Mariano next season to help develop the player, and Celtic may be an ideal destination for the 23-year-old and <\/span><strong><span class=\"goog-text-highlight\">Zinedine Zidane<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"goog-text-highlight\"> will agree.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Zidane also suggested to Dembele to remain in Celtic in a few years, so that he would probably lend Mariano to develop like Dembele.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Whatever Dembele&#8217;s doing though, he&#8217;s not keeping the support in the dark, so its unlikely to be something we don&#8217;t want to hear.<\/p>\n<p>There was something we didn&#8217;t want to hear in the papers yesterday though, something we already knew, but now its out in the open&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Alan MacRae is the President of the SFA. Its his turn.<\/p>\n<p>He may well have opened up a little too much on SFA policy at the weekend<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;It&#8217;s difficult for the other clubs to compete with Celtic because at the moment they are flying high,\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThey had fantastic achievement to come through both cups and the league being undefeated, especially on the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions and it&#8217;s quite amazing that it happened,\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0&#8220;They have done it once, hopefully it won&#8217;t happen again next season because we&#8217;ve got to have challengers. They know you need to have people challenging, otherwise it will get very boring and dreary.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We definitely need a good, strong Rangers,\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u201cThey are back but they still have a bit to go.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI am sure they will (get there) eventually. Hibs are back, which is good. With Aberdeen and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heraldscotland.com\/search\/?search=St+Johnstone&amp;topic_id=8768\" target=\"_self\">St Johnstone<\/a>, who are difficult to beat, I think we\u2019re in for a really exciting season. We&#8217;ve just got to have our two top teams performing at the highest level while trying to get the coefficient back up (in Europe).&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It looks to me like MacRae already finds it &#8220;boring and dreary &#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/DCDrkIFXcAEPZh5.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>No one is suggesting that he can&#8217;t have a favourite team, but I&#8217;m curious as to who the &#8220;we &#8221; are who apparently need a strong Rangers, and am a little concerned that he views them as one of Scotlands top two teams, when aberden have an irrefutable case to be judged as the number two side.<\/p>\n<p>However, this desire for a strong Rangers may explain their continuing run of good luck in getting home draws in the Scottish cup, and perhaps might explain their good fortune in being granted UEFA licences when they&#8217;re not eligible.<\/p>\n<p>The directors of the other clubs in Scotland, from Celtic through to junoir level should be demanding an explanation of these remarks, and the thinking behind them.<\/p>\n<p>Its exactly five years to the day that HMRC refused a proposed CVA from the old Ibrox club and sent them into oblivion, yet many of the \u00a0same characters are in the boardroom who were behind that collapse are in the boardroom of another business pretending to be the same one, with full backing from the authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Frankly, its embarrassing, and no wonder Scottish football is struggling to raise outside investment.<\/p>\n<p>Mind you, look at the companies they do let in&#8230;<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"headline__heading\">Petrofac \u2018could lose half of market value\u2019 amid corruption inquiry<\/h1>\n<p><em><span class=\"m_first-letter m_first-letter--flagged\">P<\/span>etrofac stands to lose almost \u00a32bn in market value and faces a possible $800m (\u00a3625m) fine in the wake of the Unaoil corruption scandal which has engulfed the global oil industry.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) descended on the Jersey-based oil group this month to question its top executives over allegations of suspected bribery, corruption and money laundering.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>News of the investigations quickly wiped almost half a billion from its market value, and shares fell further after its chief operating officer, Marwan Chedid, was suspended by the board last week.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But oil experts from major city banks have warned that Petrofac\u2019s ordeal may drag on to the end of the decade, gradually eroding its market value and future earnings. In a worst-case scenario, the FTSE 250 group, worth \u00a33bn earlier this year, could be reduced to a \u00a31.2bn shell.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"articleBodyText section\">\n<div class=\"article-body-text component  \">\n<div class=\"component-content\">\n<p><em><span class=\"m_first-letter m_first-letter--flagged\">M<\/span>ick Pickup, a managing director at Barclays Investment, said the group could face a fine of $800m if the SFO finds, following an investigation, that it used Unaoil as a \u201cmiddle-man\u201d to secure consultancy contracts worth $2bn for work in Kazakhstan between 2002 and 2009. Both Unaoil and Petrofac have denied allegations of wrongdoing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Mr Pickup also warned that the inquiry could scupper Petrofac\u2019s chances of picking up new work from major oil companies. \u201cThe ongoing investigation and the suspension of the chief operating officer could have a considerable impact on the business, and future order intake in particular,\u201d he said.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section dynamicMpu\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<div class=\"articleBodyText section\">\n<div class=\"article-body-text component  \">\n<div class=\"component-content\">\n<p><em><span class=\"m_first-letter m_first-letter--flagged\">R<\/span>obert Pulleyn, an analyst at Morgan Stanley, said the case could prove to be particularly destructive as it drags on.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The SFO\u2019s fraud cases take at least one year to resolve, and typically last for between two and three years. The company\u2019s market valuation and earnings potential are likely to remain under pressure throughout, he said.<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"articleBodyText section\">\n<div class=\"article-body-text component  \">\n<div class=\"component-content\">\n<p><em><span class=\"m_first-letter m_first-letter--flagged\">T<\/span>he investment bank has slashed its valuation of the group by a third, to \u00a36 a share. The market capitalisation could fall by almost half again to \u00a33.50 a share as the investigation evolves, Mr Pulleyn warned. Petrofac was worth over \u00a310 a share two years ago.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe see a risk that the investigation will impact Petrofac\u2019s ability to secure new contracts, given customers may be wary of higher counterparty risk, and the SFO inquiry may absorb management resources,\u201d he added.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFor example, Saipem has not won any contracts in Algeria since 2014 following allegations of bribery first raised in Dec 2012, which evolved to charges in 2016 and that remain ongoing,\u201d he said. Saipem has said that there are no grounds for it to be held liable.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Petrofac\u2019s earnings are expected to be resilient in the near-term due to an existing backlog of $14.3bn as of the end of last year. It also has financial headroom of $1.4bn.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section dynamicMpu\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<div class=\"articleBodyText section\">\n<div class=\"article-body-text component  \">\n<div class=\"component-content\">\n<p><em><span class=\"m_first-letter m_first-letter--flagged\">P<\/span>etrofac\u2019s chairman, Rijnhard van Tets, said the board is determined to co-operate fully with the SFO and its investigation, and will ensure the group continues to deliver for its clients.
