John Traquair slashes two Celtic fans on a train at Bridgeton X station. He gets four years in prison. No surprises until you read 40,000 signed a petition saying the sentence was too harsh!!!
-
Incredible.
-
Was curious so i looked up the name, notice a John Traquair death registered in Camlachie in 1945. The chap is in his 40s.

Another reason why (Irish) Catholics were hated was the belief they'd brought cholera into the area. Also, I wonder if there was any tension between the Highland community, who would have blended in more easily, and the more outwardly pious, and superstitious, Irish immigrants.
