Celtic Dairy Monday April 25: Apathy , Celtic and Resolution 12

Celtic continued their march towards a fifth consecutive title by securing the first of the four draws needed to clinch the trophy.

Another shocking performance from a set of players who clearly want the end of the season to come very quickly watched by a support that wish it already had.

Its certainly the end of something.

A couple of banners and the silent treatment from the Green Brigade-itself not a bad thing if they’ve ditched that bloody drum -irked Lawwell, who is having trouble coming to terms with his unpopularity, and its likely his visit to the dressing room was to tell the players and management not to comment on it, showing a new found interest in controlling press conferences.

You get the feeling that when Celtic do win the league, which they probably will, the dj will be playing “We are the champions ” to a somewhat deserted ground, and unless the presentation of the trophy is accompanied by a resignation speech by Peter Lawwell, that could be a bit of a letdown as well.

Still if he thinks it will sell tickets, then there’s every chance he’ll go for it.

Right now, the prospects of selling season books in sufficient numbers is looking grim. We hear that the club is being inundated with emails ranging from

Dear sir, I would like to point out that in view of recent events i will not be renewing my season ticket ”

to the less diplomatic

” If you even think of sending me  a renewal form I will come down there and stick it up your arse. ”

All of which explains the rumblings in at least one of the offices within the bowels of Celtic Park, but as with all bowel problems, a good old fashioned clean out usually does the trick.

We also hear that the visit to the dressing room wa sso the CEO could ask the players not to start fighting at the awards ceremony later on.

It was close…

There was certainly tension in the air, and rumours of rifts between players were given more credence whn it was noticed ( see above )  that perennial feartie Dedryck Boyata actually wore his running shoes in case things got out of hand.

The awards , predictably, went to Leigh Griffiths, Keiran Tierney and Tom Rogic, ( Player, Young Player and Goal of the season respectively -Griff picked up a couple more, players player and top goalscorer ).

Kris Commons was coaxed on to the stage for Best Impression of a Five Year Old, Scott Brown got the Margaret Thatcher Award for Leadership and  Industry , and Jozo Simunovic got the gong for ” Least Convincing  Injury “, wresting the crown from now departed permapatient Derk Boerrigter.

There was disappointment in the ranks as well, when Stefan Johansen failed to win an Oscar for his role as a combative, free scoring midfielder, and Nir Biton was upset when he realised the award for the Best Woman player would actually go to a woman, and not to a big girl.

One player missing from the awards was on loan Michael Duffy, who turned in the bravest and most admirable performance over the weekend when asked to form part of a guard of honour for first division winners “rangers “..

The official twitter account kept in line with the general ineptness of the season with a remarkable tweet, featuring Keiran tierney and Danny McGrain, with the phrase “from left back to left back “, showing apathy at best and ignorance at worst.

Then there was the “pink top 2 scenario, when a website released advance pictures of the apparent new away top, in “shocking” pink.

At the recent kit design meeting, both pink and blue were rejected as having no place on a celtic top, so i wouldn’t hold much truck with any of this, but when I saw the initial design of the suits the players were supposed to wear last night, i wouldn’t be surprised at anything any more.

You should take us more seriously when we tell you something… or do you need to see it in the paper ? Like the Irish Post…

LOOKING back to September, Martin O’Neill’s contract was running down but the FAI’s patience was hardly running thin.

In a rare interview, John Delaney – the association’s Chief Executive – made it plainly clear that come what may, O’Neill will be in charge for the next World Cup qualifying campaign.

“It is always positive to hear the senior manager is very happy in the job,” Delaney said. “From his point of view, there are two big games coming up, and possibly two more in November. Results went our way in September but they could go the other way in October just as easily.

“With this in mind, the thing, as always, is to let the games take place, see where we finish up post October or November, and then sit down and talk about what he – and the Association – would like to do. He has done a really fine job.”

So far, so straightforward. All we needed to hear, then, were O’Neill’s thoughts. And in October, they came.

He said: “My plan is to qualify for France and if I think that my employers would want me to stay on, then I would certainly want to have a look at that.”

Within a month, he had achieved just that. Victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina sparked wild celebrations in the Aviva Stadium and generated fresh debate about the future. Would O’Neill stay?

Another month passed and incredibly there was still no sign of that elusive new contract.

Christmas, New Year, his daughter’s wedding and even St Valentine’s Day all passed before the subject was brought up again. And still there was no deal signed.

“Regarding my contract, there is no great difficulty,” O’Neill continued. “In actual fact, contracts have never been a big issue for me throughout my career. I’ve tended, for the most part, to stick to them.

“So we will hopefully sit down before the couple of friendly games [against Switzerland and Slovakia next month]. The fact is that I have loved the job here. It’s been really, really fantastic and obviously qualification is, for lack of a better word, vindication for the time spent here.”

The matches came and went. But what about that new contract? “I haven’t any news on it,” O’Neill said in the aftermath of the Slovakia game. “I think there should be something very, very shortly but I think that we’re keen to get things going and the FAI have been excellent about it.”

Perhaps, though, it is time their standards dipped from excellence to mediocrity. Perhaps they should cast their minds back to Euro 2012, to another manager, another successful qualification campaign and another decision whether to stick or twist.

In handing Giovanni Trapattoni an extension to his terms back then, they left themselves open to being stuck with a man they didn’t want in the aftermath of that tournament. Of course there’s a notable difference.

By 2012, Trap’s regime was four-years-old and showing signs of fatigue. Qualifying merely masked over the problems that were deeply set. O’Neill’s voice, by contrast, remains fresh.

However, the rhetoric surrounding his contract is beginning to tire. We are in April now and if both parties are genuinely interested in re-enacting their vows and prolonging the marriage then why has it taken so long for a deal to be struck?

If ever there was a case of inactions speaking louder than words, this is it, and O’Neill’s old club are Celtic surely monitoring the situation.

But foe now, we return to the  massive disconnection between the club and the players, the club and the management and most importantly , the club and the support.

We’re becoming more of an irritation of late, which at least means that our current custodians will have to at least pretend to be interested in what we think. Especially as those renewal letters are ready to hit the doormats.

Thats the outside mat, as supporters push them back through the letterbox when they arrive.

We’re well aware now that the board are under the impression that we’ll all be happy again when the new “rangers ” come up the the top division next season, and that alone will make all the problems go away.

Seriously, not since the captain of the Hindenburg told passengers it was fine to smoke has someone underestimated the consequences of a particular action.

The action by the Celtic board in question is the blatant ignorance and shameful procrastination on the Resolution 12 issue.

Celtic have been repeatedly asked to sort it out, and they haven’t..one of those behind the campaign, auldheid, offered a summary on CQN..

Even when provided with clear evidence of skullduggery they have kept their silence.

That silence has allowed the internal war that our enemies occupy to rub their hands with glee.

Faced with a morally bankrupt rival, a morally bankrupt governance and a morally bankrupt media, we have said nothing. That vacumn of silence gave them ground to occupy rather than slink away in shame.

I can take a Celtic who are not playing well. I cannot take a Celtic lacking moral courage.

If we want to recover we need to start a moral fightback and it needs to start now by revealing the full extent of the cheating that has taken place. No more silence on Res12 no more silence on LNS. There is a clear link between both. There is an SFA needin reform. There is no reason for silence any more.

There is a feeling that this is a Celtic -rangers thing. It isn’t. Its far more than that, and affects all clubs, because its about the moral flexibility of those running the game.

I met up with the Res 12 guys on saturday, and listened to evidence and stories that would make you weep in shame for the inaction of our club and the people who run it.

I don’t doubt the integrity and honesty of the men behind the campaign, the work they have put in is humbling, and the obstacles they have had to overcome daunting.

But they are winning, and you’ll hear more about that soon.

On the train home, however, i couldn’t help but wonder why they have to do all of this.

Why aren’t the club doing it ?

If they are aware of shennanigans, and they are, because all the evidence is there, why aren’t they screaming about them from the rooftops ?

Why has it been left to a group of supporters to carry on the battle ?

A battle for fairness and integrity, a battle for the image and viability of the game in Scotland.

Why have they been left to shoulder the burden ?

They’re getting no help at all from the board, and if anything, appear to be blocked at every turn, and offered lame excuses, the most common one concerning the EBT scandal. That is, Celtic will make a move if and when the EBTs are declared illegal.

That shows a remarkable lack of understanding of the issue, which concerns the granting of a licence when there was a significant change in circumstances by the UEFA confirmation date that rendered Rangers participation in the champions League illegal .

The SFA and Rangers didn’t mention it when they should have. Nothing to do with EBTs.

The club are aware of this, several media outlets are aware of this, but no-one seems to want to do anything about it, bar the hardy souls of the Res 12 group.

Why is it down to them to try to sort the problem, when the club should be doing it ?

The club will try to sell season books soon.

Ironically justifying an increase in price because ” the “rangers ” are “back ” . “

We need to know why they won’t support Resolution 12.

We can ask them.

Emails, phone calls, letters wrapped around a house brick, alright, maybe not the latter, but you get the point.

Forget the team for a minute, and concentrate your anger at the club.

If this isn’t sorted now, it will mean that apathy has won. It means that we have colluded with the cheats in the same way the club has.

We’ve missed an opportunity to cleanse the game once, when Turnbull Hutton made us aware of the depths of corruption and nepotism within Hampden.

We cannot afford to let things go back to the way they were.

Ring the club, email the club, and ask them why we should buy a season book if they’re not prepared to fight our corner when the money is being paid into a sport with all the credibility of the wrestling .

A sport which depends on our money, but somehow doesn’t have to be accountable to us.

Resolution 12 cannot be allowed to fail.

They’ve been doing their bit, now you can do yours.

See if they’ll tell you why the Res 12 guys have had to do it all themselves, because they sure as hell aren’t telling them.

Ewanbhoy, this is spot on correct. Our Board are keeping silent because they want the money from the so called “old firm”. This is a massive mistake and shows that they are firmly based in the past and unable to imagine a new future. Focus on the CL would have more than replaced the “old firm” money and playing top European teams would have enhanced our global brand aspirations. Playing a second incarnation of Rangers, with all the dodgy stuff that goes with it, will fail to do that. Our Board have bought into and perpetuated the false narrative that Scottish football needs some kind of Rangers. This is the most shameful thing that they have done. They have allowed the hate and bile to rise again by allegedly colluding and allowing the rules to be broken and ignored without protest or comment. Do they really think this would have been allowed for Celtic? Imagine roles reversed. For God’s sake Lawell and DD stop buying into the Rangers as saviors narrative and speak out on Resolution 12 and all the other dodgy deals. Show some testicular fortitude!

Yesterday started with hope, Ronnie going, chance for players to say goodbye and put themselves forward as players worthy of a new manager. Instead we got 90 minutes of insipid shite with no one really caring, going through the motions ( apart from Griffiths and atierney) and they expect to get paid as well. If I continually performed like that when ai worked I’d have got my head given to me on a platter with a P45.

Know the feeling Monti,I ended up arguing with myself on another post I’m that fucked up with them.
Res 12 is the noose now around the clubs neck.
The players on the field have no desire to be a Celtic player.
Only Tierney, and Griffiths has shown levels of acceptability over the season.
It is for me the worst league campaign,I have watched by a Celtic side.
I wouldn’t bet us to win any of our last 4 games how fuckin depressing is that.

Maybe this message should go to all the supporters club out with the U.K. As well. I will proactively write my own email as I’m now converted from doing nothing about it.

The ethos of the club is to serve the fans historically speaking anyway I can only think that a good manager would look on what’s on offer as a messy poison chalice not worth the grey hair or the risk of heart disease

I’m sure the Sydney and Melbourne and Brisbane CFC are on too it although there isn’t the threat of dismissing renewal of a personal seat at cp I’m sure that the disgust felt goes well beyond Scotland

Its an “old subject” I grant you…but your article lays it on the line.
Its well written,factual and informative.
There is no way our Club can be “defended” on these matters and its shameful that the support..particularly Auldheid and his group…have been treated the way they have.
The Club’s apparent lack of awareness of the anger amongst the support is inexcusable..and it will be be reflected in ST sales.
I am not renewing until this has been dealt with by our Club.
I suspect I’m not alone…not by a long shot.
The game has been shown to be corrupt at the highest levels..and why our Club would want to remain silent on that is a total mystery.
As for thinking Sevco’s return is the answer…
You can shove that right up yer arse Mr.Lawwell.

Time is precious! Never mind this limping over the line, we need a new manager in very soon to prepare for the CL qualifiers. Lennon and Clarke would be good to go tomorrow. Forget Moyes and the others whose minds are elsewhere – it’s time for action. And a clearout. I can’t believe how many RD has brought in, how many he’s loaned out, and how many different teams he has sent out in as many games! And Vardy and Mehrez cost 1.4m the pair? We really need to get back to developing potential and selling on when necessary, as the scouting policy seemed to be with Hooper, VVD and Wantyama. This is a great blog, keep it up!

There’s a train of thought that our club was not just “in on” the whole res 12 , five way agreement , birth of sevco etc etc ;but was actually “front and centre” of the whole charade .
Their views of “everything ok when rangers are back” would appear to support this view .
I think it’s time now for them to PROVE this claim is wrong ; as silence could be deemed an admission of guilt.
Time for full transparency .We’ve had enough of the silent treatment.
You’re either with us , or against us.
Time , I think to send a message to DD that we are NOT “one side of the old firm coin”.
If he can’t accept that , then it’s time for him to bow out.
Either that or a lot of us will.

This is Peters legacy that is hanging by a thread. He will ‘FOREVER’ be remembered as the Celtic CEO who let the SFA, SPL/SPFL and RFC Plc (IL) ‘PISS’ all over, not only us, but every club in the land. The man is a coward pure and simple and is scared for the retribution of ‘Der Hun’. Peter ‘they’ can’t hate you anymore, than they already do, pull the plug on the corruption that has happened over the last 2 decades and let some fresh air blow away the cobwebs of deception at Hampden. Do the ‘right, decent and Honorable thing’ and you ‘might’ just about, save your good(?) name.

only my opinion. HH

Playing Devil’s advocate here, but perhaps the Board “know” (or at least strongly suspect) that the EBT will not end well for them, and they will take the opportunity to pursue the Res 12 issue when that is sorted out. Basically, they want the best of both worlds – them in teh Premier League (to appeal to those that this will appeal to) but sufficiently crippled that they pose no challenge to us and the SFA are swept aside and Lawell will be the man in charge there?

My belief is that DD’s vision of the “old firm brand” is of a backwards and forwards tennis match style i.e. we win a couple, they win a couple , type of thing.
I believe he views long term dominance by either us , or them as “bad for the brand”.
Our problem is that the club “boss” doesn’t share the same vision ,dreams or targets as we , the fans.
The GB banner yesterday said it :EMPTY DREAMS.

jpm 88,

I am inclined to agree with you. I think DD sees the MON years as the best for the brand – 3 wins for us, 2 for them over a 5 year cycle would suit him just fine. The South African Messiah over at thiers has also pretty much said that’s his view too – them winning but enough wins for us to keep it interesting…joy…

Spidey100

That said, I don’t actually believe my earlier post, just throwing it out there.

The board really need to get all this sorted – at this rate, them will have at least double the number of season tickets – watch our turnover plumment to the £40-50m mark, which ironically will take us back to being on a par with them. Good work Celtic….

Mick,

That’s a fair point, I had kind of assumed c£50m “normal times” with an extra £10-20m if we sell a VVD or qualify for CL.

Depressingly, the absence of a “sellable asset” and the likelihood that we wont qualify for next season’s CL, combined with general disatisfaction and reduced season ticket number, potentially puts us nearer the £40m mark, if not lower. SO, pretty much where they are, with a real chance that they will better our turnover…sigh…

Why has there been no word from the CEO or board members regarding this ongoing omnishambles at our club.
Mr Lawwell, you earn a ridiculous amount of money from OUR club for some reason, but obviously that doesn’t include addressing the support as to the ongoing malaise you have presided over, when a blind man could have seen this coming a year and a half ago.If you are not prepred to work for your outrageous salary, then can I suggest that you fuck off right now and take all your pals on the board with you.

Great stuff Ralph,

We all share the same disgust on the state of the club etc. so no need for me to add my tuppence worth. However …

Re Res 12. Ironically, a Tribute Act cup win could bring renewed focus on UEFA rules and might potentially open a Pandora’s Box which allows Res 12 the proper public airing it has so far lacked (we live in hope).

Also, in case it escaped anyone’s notice, the MASH v SFA Court of Session case challenging King’s ruling as “fit & proper” starts this Wednesday 28th April. TBH I’m not vey positive but – who knows – maybe the judge will confound expectations and allow the truth to be told for once, exposing that bunch of complicit, corrupt cowards in the SFA for the liars & fools that they are.

Is it naïve to hope that that – plus a ruling in favour of HMRC in the tax appeal, might be the first few steps towards Celtic finally taking a stance on these issues which embraces rather than embarrasses the proud history of our club and doing everything they can to ensure justice is done?

The Celtic supporters must move on this now, it is time for action, we can talk all fucking day but the fans have the power if they feel strongly enough!
If and when we win the league, I think the day we are presented with the league trophy, not one Celtic supporter should enter the stadium.

No one else is going to fucking do it for us, fuck Lawwell and the rest of the board, they will go in time but we will always be there for our club, this board are complicit in Celtic and Scottish football being fucked over, cheated and financially raped in favour of one filthy dead club.

That statement just about sums up this whole matter.
Every Celtic fan needs to read that statement and let it sink in for a minute.
Then it would be nice to put it to the board un-edited.
A reply from them would then be good.
They need to “get it”, that they’re either with us or against us;
no more ” playing both sides of the fence”.
And how about concentrating on CL for finance , as opposed to the “old firm” sectarian coin?

Monti it is very very difficult to get the supporters to shoew solidarity/determination,you can take it from me as gospel there are those among us supporters that accept on the qt a wee invite up to CP for a cosy chat with PL allowing themselves to be separated from the main thrust of those trying their best o get some acknowledgement from the board which so far is like pulling teeth in the dark, there are in life always those that seek self agrandissement.

Shouldn’t we be organising a boycott of the Sevco games at Parkhead next year to show the board and the media that we don’t want or need “them” back and that the “Old Firm” is history?

If I’ve read that right then Philmacgiollabhain is hinting that DD’s future with Celtic is in doubt ;i.e. 50/50 !

I have also heard that DD is furious and concerned about the club and his investment in the club. He clearly needs a new Board as the current Board are looking to the past i.e. the “old firm” to solve everything. A new Board need to plan for the future, a future dominating in Scotland and competing in Europe ( where the real money comes from ). Better commercial vision and matchday experience AND speaking out against cheating, illegality and breaking of rules! An ethical Board that can innovate, attract the best manager and players we can afford and one that looks to Europe not Ibrox as a financial necessity.

Broxburn, That would add up,concerning the search for a Name,Manager, could he also be hinting at more involvement in the club by his son,who i hear has an affinity with Celtic, binary 50/50.
Also the res 12 package that his aide received from Auldhead.

Yes Broxburnbhoy,

a new board is needed.
As you say , a board looking to Europe for finance , not the “old firm ” pound.
That’ll need a board with a work ethic; it takes planning , strategy, nerve, leadership and an element of controlled risk .
Relying on the “old firm” pound is a lazy option .
All you need is an entity from Ibrox in your league , calling you a fenian B, and you’re away with it.
People have applauded them for keeping the accounts good .
What’s to applaud?
Sell an asset every summer circa £13m .Genius.
To quote a line from a film ” you don’t applaud the tenor for clearing his throat”.
And what about when those assets dry up ? Ah right , the “old firm”pound has arrived just in time. Real genius.
We need a board that understands our feelings on “old firm”.
I loathe that phrase because it deems us one half of a partnership, each one indivisible from the other ; without an individual identity of our own .
They’re NOT our partner , no more than Hearts or Aberdeen are .
As for DD reading the riot act . Great. Just 3 yrs late .
How is it many of us could see the road PL was taking us down long ago ; yet it seems DD has just woken up to it now .
That’s the trouble with an absentee landlord .
That said , a man in his position should still have had a finger on the pulse , no matter how far away he was .
It smacks of neglect !
If he treated his other businesses in that way he wouldn’t be a billionaire for long.
If PhilMac is right and DD is considering his own position ,then maybe it’s for the best.
It needs to be either more hands on , or maybe time for a parting of the ways.
Clearly his “distant” approach hasn’t worked for him , or for us.

Good read, I would like to add something to this, showing how far the club’s think of the fans lately.
I was at the Semi final at Hampden to hear penny arcade and sea of flags been waved in the other side of the ground.

Three points.
Where Celtic fans aloud a song? If so why not (YNWA)?
Where Celtic fans aloud to enter stadium with flag poles?
Third point. I emailed Celtic after the game asking if we got a song choice, and if so
Why didn’t we get (YNWA)
Still waiting on a reply.

I have not seen the assembled evidence on the Res 12 issue and I suspect most on here have not either. That presents a problem in forming an opinion about who is to blame in this fiasco. It least it does for me. What I am about to say casts no ill on the sterling efforts of the Res 12 guys. They have my greatest admiration for both the work they have put in and for sticking their heads above the parapet.
I pose the following more as a question than anything else since I am not sure of the facts.
As I understand it, the concern is not over the granting of a licence to Rangers but to the confirming of that licence? At the time of confirmation there was evidence that Rangers had an unpaid tax liability? If so, that should have resulted in the removal of the licence?
If the above is loosely accurate then the key issue is who knew what and when. If arangers knew about the unpaid tax and had received a demand for the same, they are guilty of obtaining their licence falsely. If the SFA did not know about the tax liability, then they cannot be judged to have acted outside UEFA rules.
If it is only Rangers that knew the truth then they are solely to blame, but the question has to be asked what would be gained by pushing this? Shaming them? Any financial compensation is probably out of the question because Rangers were liquidated and any payout to creditors is going to be minimal. I do not see how shaming Rangers will affect “rangers”. They are a new club after all.
However, if the evidence shows that the SFA did know about the unpaid tax issue and still awarded the licence, then they are not fit for office and they must accept the consequences. On the other hand, if Rangers kept vital information from the SFA, then they are merely victims like the rest of Scottish football.
To prove that the SFA are culpable in this the evidence needs to show that the SFA knew about the tax problem before their decision to confirm the licence. Further that evidence will need to be in some written form, and not anecdotal.
So, in short, without seeing the evidence, I cannot tell you is to blame, if anyone. All that I have is suspicions.
If our Board are in the same dilemma, i can see why they have not acted.

What a way to treat intelligent and loyal supporters, they should be ashamed of themselves, they are garbage.
Never thought i would feel this bad about people on the Board of this great club.

Mike,

I am not trying to defend the Board. I think their ability to communicate with various stakeholder groups is very poor…unbelievable, in fact.
I also am fairly sure that the Board have seen the evidence that the Res 12 guys have assembled. These guys are convinced by the evidence, I have no doubt. What I am saying is that perhaps the Board are not convinced thst it proves a case.
You know that it has to be overwelming with issues that operate against Rangers, or “rangers” , otherwise it will fail.
Maybe, it is overwhelming…I just do not know.

I think we are all united in the view that the Board need to respond, publically to this issue. I know it might be trivky for them to do so, but they should be professional enough to handle it.

You know, it is truely shocking that a club that has been the dominant one in Scotland for the lasy few years, and, hopefully the next few years, can find itself embroiled in so many messes.
I guess this is the real indictment of how the club is run.

Worryingly is that some people seem focused on our board wanting a ‘return’ of 4 ‘O*d F*rm’ games hence inaction over res 12.

I think this is a red-herring that needs to be put to bed; there is very little that res12 would have done to jeopardise such games occurring – they are a new club who would be unaffected by res12 and would have proceeded with their laughable Journey regardless. Indeed, the fault and where the hammer would/should fall would be with the SFA.

I don’t understand the board’s inaction on this, other than possible personal self-interest???

Unbelievably, and res12 aside, there appears to have been little effort, thus far, to instigate FFP rules in Scotland. The optimist in me says that this is because we’ve waited on Sevco to achieve top league status before we hamstring them; the pessimist in me says that our board want them to be like their predecessors – open to any and all manner of financial shenanigans (red: doping/cheating/etc). Sadly, the realist says in me agrees with the pessimist.

I’m not a very forward person and don’t particularly like confrontation, but then again, I’m not the CEO of a company paid hundreds of thousands of pounds to be such a person and yet when I’ve been ‘cheated’ out of money, I’ve chased it up and demanded recompense together with statutory interest – why can’t our club do the same?

Do we have real leadership any more or just another set of spineless shills meekly applauding the ruination of our game?

Devoy45

Everything said on here is a true measure of how we all feel about our club and its ‘governance.’ In the old days, it was based on class: our owners both feared and patronised our working class support. Things haven’t changed. How dire was Sunday? Will we even win this feckin title? Lustig, Brown, Bitton and a few others shouldn’t have been on the pitch at all based on recent performances. However, let’s give full and total support until the minute the title is won. Once won, I advocate staying away from Celtic Park. Not entering would be the best way to voice visible discontent. On the pitch, let’s see Janko, Armstrong, Allan, Christie, Forrest and even Ambrose. Efe gives his all and would look much better at right back than Lustig. I’m scunnered with all of it.

Gentlemen can I just echo Mikes sentiments about the current situation, I am with Mike 100% as are almost all of you reading this.
I took Ralphs advice from the diary and e-mailed the club outlining my disgust at the situation. I basically vented and pointed out that as a season ticket holder for 25 years I have never felt that this is necessary before but I had to say something because this situation Resolution 12 the awfulness of the team, being treated with contempt over the managerial situation etc etc, cannot be aloud to continue. I don’t know if this will achieve anything but maybe if we all do something similar they might pay us the slightest bit of attention

Maryhill,

Respect to you for being a ST holder for 25 years.
Maybe it is worthwhile piling on the issues to the Board, but the managerial mess is distinct from Res 12. It serves neither to link them.
The only thing they have in common is PL, as he has responsibility for resolving both. Actually, maybe you have the right of it after all!

I shall now sit quietly in the corner,

When the Ebt supreme court ruling goes against Rangers in liquidation I want Celtic to request all titles and trophies won by cheating stripped from them and awarded to thise they cheated. They should take the matter to UEFA anyway as many European clubs were victims of the cheats.
